With just two Gameweeks left on the agenda this campaign, our round-up of the Fantasy Football Scout leagues returns this evening. With leagues in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League, Sky Sports and the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) Champions League game, there’s plenty to catch up on.

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE

Simon March, aka “Dufflinksâ€, extended his lead at the summit of the Scout League by a further seven points – courtesy of a 92-point haul – and retained the top spot in the overall rankings. Captain Sergio Aguero delivered exactly half of his Gameweek 36 tally, while David Silva (16), John Terry (nine) and Wes Morgan (six) supplemented the Argentine’s eye-watering output with strong returns.

Kev Gleave – who’s currently ranked fifth in the global standings – moved up one place to second by virtue of a 93-point Gameweek, sporting a very similar team to Simon’s. The above-mentioned quartet of players also delivered the goods for Kev, while Jamie Vardy bolstered his forward line with a five-point haul.

Mariusz Fyrstenberg sits in bronze medal position after carding an impressive 103 points. Double Leicester City defensive coverage (Kasper Schmeichel and Jeffrey Schlupp) paid dividends, as did his decision to bench Raheem Sterling in favour of Jordan Henderson, who notched an assist and two bonus points against Chelsea.

Stuart Shingler is a new arrival in the top five of the Scout League, having accrued a whopping 107 points (ranked 959th for the Gameweek) in the last round of fixtures. Like Mariusz, Stuart profited from his decision to field Schlupp and Schmeichel in defence, alongside the usual suspects in Aguero, Silva and Terry. Tom Cleverley (eight points) proved to be an astute differential, as the much-maligned Villains midfielder netted for the third consecutive match.

Killian Long – who sat third after last Gameweek – is clinging onto the fifth spot after recording a relatively disappointing 79 points. Aside from handing Aguero the captain’s armband and plumping for the popular Foxes pair, there was little else to cheer about for Killian, with every recruit in his four-man midfield (Alexis Sanchez, Eden Hazard, Philippe Coutinho and Santi Cazorla) drawing blanks.

We’re also giving a name-check to AbuBaker Siddiq. The world number two is a member of Fantasy Football Scout, though has yet to join any of our official leagues. Similarly, regular FFS poster “Takamba”, also known as Stuart Greenacre, sits in third in the overall standings.

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members League, Simon March stretched out his lead over Killian Long to 58 points ahead of the double Gameweek. Greg Clarkson elevated his standing with a 99-point haul and now occupies the third berth. A strong collective performance from all involved in the league has boosted it into second place in the FPL’s “Best League†leaderboard, behind the Scout League.

ULTIMATE FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE

Despite tallying seven more points (112) than second-placed Obay Eid (105 points), Damian Lindall’s lead at the top of the UFPL Scout League was cut by a singular point due to his transfer costs. Sean Tobin lost ground on the front two but remains in third place after notching 89 points. To join our UFPL league, use the code 524-87.

SKY SPORTS FANTASY FOOTBALL

Geoff Pryor heads up the Scout League once again with 2351 points, yet a new entry in the top three, Steven Adams (2349 points), rests just two points shy of that total. Katie Burgin (2338 points) slipped to third place and lost 10 points on league-leader Geoff. The winner of our Sky league, which retained top spot in the League of Leagues, wins £1,000.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Our official Champions League game this season is the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) offering – a free, reliable and easy-to-use Fantasy football app. With Real Madrid and Juventus still yet to clash horns at the Bernabeu, Adriel Cheung (833 points) now leads the Scout League by a 19-point margin, ahead of second-placed Juan Garcia (814). Gavin Rolston (806) dropped down one place to third. There’s an iPad mini on offer to the winner – the league name is Fantasy Football Scout and the pin is 11155.

'Catch Me If You Cans', from OR 4 to OR 35 exactly, with only 40 points without Aguero and with Benteke(c). Can we catch him? Guess we can.

Unlucky. Similar happened to me two seasons ago. Was around 700th and decided to go without an out of form RVP. He fired and I went down below 5k

Has anyone else noticed that their week's work output is inversely proportional to their FPL score the preceding w/e? A bit like Newton's law of universal gravitation, but less physicsy 😀

I find it too be the opposite...having my best year ever this yea and its the year I spent the least time on it. Many week just sorting it on the Sat morning and it's being suiting me. Other years end up on here to much, over thinking it, ..collage work and FPL score plummeting week by week

I mean spending a lot of time trying to get to the perfect end team sheet and yet getting less points than the team you ended up with after less than 30 minutes of checking is luck.

i had a dream last night that Ivanovic scored. He was a very strange looking ivanovic, he scored a belter.

It will dictate my transfers this week. Our spirit guides are helping us over the line (either that or too much cheese)

I had a dream before gw34 that Terry got 2 goals and Ivanovic only a yellow in their double. Happened over 3 gw's, but still ... 🙂
Of course I bought Ivan instead, racionalizing he's a "beast in the box" and has "a bigger goal threat" ...

    Shameless repost 🙂

Play Skrtel or Vardy (maybe both if Hazard out vs WBA) or buy Gomez for -4?

There is still a option to buy Sunderland forward, but i really want Vardy in my team for the last gw against QPR.

First in mini league, good OR.

I have to say it but Oscar is such a good footballer. Younger than Haz, already 150 caps for Chelsea and Brazil.

And now José has singled him out for next season as well. Going to be career defining the next One. Finally a summers rest for him.

Things against Oscar he is inconsistent and Fabregas gets the number 10 role in big games . Hazard and Costa were generously priced too . It will be interesting next year if it is impossible to own Costa , Fabs , Aguero and Sanchez

Considering he was the chosen one between him and Mata, I'm really expecting big things from him soon.

This season for Oscar has pretty much been like Hazard's first season at Chelsea.

He was chosen over Mata for work rate alone. He isn't that young any more, and that does not mean he will be a good player. Plenty of young players never realise their potential or the potential they are perceived to have. He only produces a moment of magic now and then, and remains anonymous in most games. If Chelsea could get good money for him I'd be happy to see us sell.

I, for one, will be well pissed if the Scouts drop the current system for Scout Picks. I feel that it has worked better, while involving more of the Community. There are always going to be one or two problems. 🙂

I think one way to do it would be to accept private submissions for teams and then get people to vote for the teams without knowing which username submitted each one.

Nah too repetitive. There should just be one team for the Community and one team for all the admins, not three. I always read the scout picks last year, but this year I usually just skim it.

This whole system is a joke. The last thing anybody wants is multiple teams with 95%of the players identical on a Friday evening when you can't make up your mind what to do with your own team.

And no, I'm not bitter because KOL beat my 75 pts this week.

Can't quite make the straight swap - wish I could! Just seen that I could do Coutinho + Clyne to PVA & Ramsey...which then gives me funds to do Philipps -> Gomez which gives me 5 players for the dgw....for a -8 hit....and my ML leader and I are tied exactly on points.....it's all getting too stressful!!

Yeah I agree think I'll stick with Coutinho + Clyne to PVA + Ramsey for -4 then I'll hide behind a pillow! Gives me Caz/Rambo/Ospina/PVA for dgw. Plus it should free up some funds for the last weekend.

Now to decide who to bench:Terry, Skrtel or Schlupp...fun times!

No way you can get Sanchez in there ?. Haz is a high priced rotation risk (if you've got him). Rambo is far from certain to play both games.

Getting Sanchez means shipping out Silva...whose form has finally turned up!

                Team currently:

                Ospina (Schmeichel)
                Clyne, Terry, Skrtel, (Schlupp, Wolly)
                Cazorla, Coutinho, Silva, Hendo, (Philipps)
                Benteke, Aguero, Kane

Need Arsenal mid - Giroud's lost his shooting boots!

or any Arsenal D, if you haven't already got one.

          I've done

Clyne and Haz to Kos and Sanchez

Have Ospina as keeper and the Ars defence is rotated too much to risk Bellerin et al. PVA will def start so will get a few points there. Shipped Haz -> Cazorla last week.

When did this start getting so stressful?!? 😀

Ospina is enough D, Coutinho + Clyne to PVA + Ramsey for -4 is probably your best option.

After much stressing, I've gone Kos, Caz and Sanchez. I'm going to be hiding behind a pillow, every time Giroud and Rambo touch the ball.
