With the final double Gameweek of the season almost upon us, we turn our attentions to the Opta statistics to assess the recent form of Arsenal and Sunderland.

Using the team profile data, we take a look at both sides displays from Gameweek 30-36 – a period of time that saw them play six times apiece and one that coincides with Dick Advocaat’s arrival at the Stadium of Light.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Hello and thank you.

As the season draws to a close I wanted to take a moment to say thank you very much to all of you at FFS, especially Mark, Jonty, Granville and all of the contributors and posters who make FFS such an invaluable resource and an excellent read. And I’m a huge fan of the Scoutcast. As I live on Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand I’ve also grown rather fond of the DZ, what a lovely bunch of folks you are.

I was also deeply moved by the responses to Doosra recent illness and the sad passing of Absinthe. Like most of you I only know them through their numerous, excellent posts and yet the outpouring of genuine concern and support shown by the FFS team and many posters was truly something to behold.

This is just my second season playing fantasy football. Last year I ended up with an OR of 618,116 and I was absolutely delighted with that result. This season, my good pal who introduced me to FPL suggested a small wager for our mini-league and so I thought I’d better spend a little more time on it and try and give him a run for his money.

After 36 GW’s I have an OR of 2,946 - http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/40030/history – I know, I can’t believe it either! However, I can sum up the reason for my improvement in one simple statement:

“I became a member of Fantasy Football Scout.”

That’s it in a nutshell. I’m still making mistakes and learning valuable lessons but thanks to FFS just not as many mistakes as before. I haven’t posted in the past because I’m still serving my FPL apprenticeship and I haven’t had anything informative or even interesting to say up until now. With a bit of luck I may have something worthwhile to contribute next season and start to repay all you good folks who have helped shaped an incredible FPL year for me.

Anyway, I’ve prattled on enough, thank you one and all for making the last year interesting, exciting, insightful and at times, truly inspiring.

Cheers and all the very best.

    Johnny

Last season it was Ramsey, this season it was Kane. Which bright young thing will emerge as next season's must have?

If Newcastle manage to stay in the PL and Ashley gets the wake up call to invest more and hire a competent manager, I favour the double As - Ayoze and Aarons.

Depay at United, kids a star. hopefully FPL dont price him too high though. 8.0 or Under Im on him like a rash. 9s and Ill look to the established players for early security.

how about 8.5? Sterling was priced at 8.5 and many resisted because of it. Although he's finally slowing down (no thanks to the reverse OOP), he had a very decent season opener and many brave hearts got rewarded.

Bamford if Boro get promoted. He'll probably get a PL season on loan there if they do. Won't be at the Kane level but could certainly match Austin. Born goalscorer.

I think Shaw will drop in price due and if he can get consistent game time without injury could be a good pick. When he has played this season United as a whole have looked better and he gets forward a lot.

Barca can agree on a contract this summer and he can move next year.
Even though they have Kroos and Modric, they can get him to increase competition. They need an extra DM for depth in the squad

Barca just signed Rakitic. Pogba would have to sit on the bench.

Same with Real. He would sit on the bench.

Don't think Pogba would switch teams to sit on the bench.

Pogba on the bench, are you kidding me? Pogba is way better than all these players. Surely he is bad for Barca and Real but good for City? That doesn't make sense at all.

PSG also on the hunt for him. Juve keen to hold onto him as well, and are really inflating his price. If City want to spend their entire transfer budget on him then that's fair.

PSG's net spend has been capped due to FFP.

Juve will sell for the right price.

City will be selling a few players. So would have a big budget this summer.

              Juve currently want €100 million.

Negredo would give us 23m for starters.

                Then there're Yaya,Dzeko,Jovetic,Kolarov,Nasri,Nastasic etc. Should generate 80-90m.

You may be surprised, some may not leave either.

All I'm saying is don't go off assured he's going to City. Same thing happened with Pep until he came out and specifically stated he'll be at Bayern next season.

If bids come in they'd be gone. I'm very sure about that.

Pellegrini came out and said that he'd not be joining City and then BOOM 3 weeks later he was the City manager.

Stranger things have happened in football.

Stranger things have happened, I agree. But being 100% certain of all the transfers you claim are going to happen kind of flies in the face of that. A lot of clubs interested in Pogba, A LOT. So to act like he has already joined City is a bit silly. It's not that they can't get him, but pretending they have gotten him before he's even flown out to the club is very premature.

Absolutely. We're not guaranteed to get him.

But all I've been saying is that things have fallen very nicely into place for City this summer to get Pogba.

We should take advantage of that and snatch him up. if we fail to do so then I'd consider replacing Begiristain and Soriano.

I just think City need to be careful. As you say, they might sell 6 or 7 players, generate nearly 100 million to spend and then spend most of it on one centre midfielder?

I don't know what will happen, they definitely should go for him.

Yes they do. Are you serious? Selling Cavani alone could go for nearly £50 million. They have a load of midfielders that could leave as well. PSG could easily generate the same money, depending on who they sell.

Why'd they sell Cavani? Then the'd have to buy another striker which would cost them a lot of money.

Not many milfs in their squad who would fetch great prices.

IMO, Pogba is not willing to go back to England after his time at United. He would prefer to move to Spain as the game there would suit him better.
PSG if they had the money, that would be his first or second choice.

Though if Juve play like this against Barcelona they will be torn asunder...

Still will get torn asunder if they're as lazy as they've been in this match. A lot of really poor play.

    Bus successfully parked.

Now lets see if Real can break the bus.

Marcelo is one of Madrid's better attackers.

Morata should have celebrated both goals.

He should have done an Adebayor to the Real fans

That would have been absolutely brilliant.

Morata doesn't celebrate. He just sighs and wishes he had followed his dream of baking delicate cupcakes.

Real fans probably didn't even notice when he moved to Juve.

Exactly. I suppose he's been doing his talking on the pitch but should have celebrated all the same.
