With the final double Gameweek of the season almost upon us, we turn our attentions to the Opta statistics to assess the recent form of Arsenal and Sunderland.

Using the team profile data, we take a look at both sides displays from Gameweek 30-36 – a period of time that saw them play six times apiece and one that coincides with Dick Advocaat’s arrival at the Stadium of Light.

Great write-up Paul in my opinion, shame it is barely acknowledged by most.

Vardy to Defoe. Brace against Leics and he won't mind sticking one up the Ars!!.

Hi all, great site, first post, any feedback much appreciated

    A) Use FT to get Gomez
    B) Play Phillips home to Newcastle and save FT

Link your team and the regulars are more likely to help is my advice.

For the record, neither. Always an improvement to be made going into a DGW. Not sure Gomez is it. Eck, what do I know!

    Have PVA, Sanchez, Ramsey

Thanks Icon, my only reservation was I could see goals in the Qpr v Newcastle match and 2 Ft are always handy but as you say I guess there could be a lot of rotation for the last game week especially if pretty much everything is decided by then which is looking probable

Excuse the partial repost but I just can't make up my mind, now with a new option, would really appreciate some input. Cheers!!!

    Option A:
    GW37: Cylne, Caz & Hendo, -4
GW38: Wasi, Caz, Vardy & Kane (or a 5.8m striker with a FT)

    Option B:
    GW37: Bellerin, Wickham & Hendo, -4
GW38: Bellerin, Bolasie, Kane & Gomis (no FT)

    Option C:
    GW37: Clyne, Caz & Vardy
GW38: Kolarov, Bolasie, Kane & Vardy (no FT)

    Hey All,

Quick question for you this DGW. 100 player ML, currently in 2nd place - 13pts behind the leader.

I have Sanchez/Haz. He has Santi/Haz, and two FTs.

I can't get Rambo in without moving Haz out, but I'm considering it (Gives me Ospina/Alexis/Rambo). He can only get in one of the two. What are your thoughts on that in regard to differential? I know there is risk in moving Haz out...

Bonus question. Rambo for Haz gives me enough funds to go Toby to Ivanovic (-4), who the ML leader doesn't have. Could be some attacking returns on that the last two weeks...worth the risk?

    Thanks all!

Most likely he'll get Sanchez (unless he's lurking here) so I'd get Rambo and captain him. Not sure hits for a def is the way forwatd when trying to close a gap. The above would be enough of a gamble for me.

      1. Billy Baroo
        • 11 Years
        10 years, 7 months ago

        Cheers Icon.

Yeah hits for a defender usually is a no-no for me. I figure with Ivan lobbying to play the last two and the potential to hunt for goals in the box it might be worth the risk.

Even if I just bring in Rambo for Haz I'd hesitate to captain anyone other than Alexis haha! Might just take the chance that my backline/Benteke can make up some of the difference.

        Thanks for your reply though!

    Panti (Davis)
    Skrtel Terry Bertrand (Bruce, Pieters)
    Sterling Hazard Sanchez Walters (Elmohamady)
    Kane Auguero Giroud

    1FT 0.9 in the bank

Leading my league 35 points ahead, thinking of swapping Berty for Kos, but what with the Hazard uncertainty and having a slightly weakened midfield compared to my rival I was considering taking a hit. Is it worth taking a -4 hit to strengthen the midfield?
I was perhaps considering Gomez but it's a bit risky imo. My rival has Hazard.
Any advice to help solve this puzzle would be very welcome. Thank you.

Thanks for the input. Thought about Sterling > Ramsey but my rival has Coutinho, and Bellerin, so was thinking of Kos to cover their Arsenal defender, and leave Stirling to cover Coutinho. They also have Sanchez & Giroud, just trying to match their points to keep my lead, or is this tactic not the best move?!

Nice move. I'd like Defoe but I can't bring myself to ditch Kane this week.

Wanted Wickham as Sunderland attacks more from the left, but had no enough money for him.

Probably not huge news and sure he hasn't got large ownership on here but saw Gary Cahill in Vilamoura, Portugal this evening.

    NOT playing this weekend.

Obviously.. Doesn't matter who else may be available. They may not even be at Bournemouth. Worth keeping an eye on though

With a FT, would you do Mignolet -> Panti if it means having to play Myhill (ars) or Panti (che) in GW38? Mignolet has Stoke away in GW38.

Both will get poor scores next week but Migs could get a cleanie this week and I'd prefer to punt on that plus have an extra FT..

Anyone else for Gerrard? Last home game ever for Liverpool, will either be a fairtytale ending or a red card for getting over pumped up. Should be fun either way, televised too. I'm in 😀

To be honest it would be a fairytale for him to score a couple in his last ever game for his boyhood team. Fairytales don't normally come through though.just saying.

Can we play all 15 players this week please??

Have Krul, Vardy, Aldy, Schlupp all capable of getting points this week on my bench!

      • 16 Years
      10 years, 7 months ago

Yeah, similar problem here so saving my FT. Might end up benching Fonte, Aldy and Albrighton. Tempted to bench Hazard tbh!

        10 years, 7 months ago

I know right.. Too well prepared!

I'm playing Haz, don't think he will be rested, and if he is he surely will be getting the day off and I'll get Vardy off the bench.

Used my FT to get Gomez in for Phillips for 3 ars, 2 sun

        1. Twisted Saltergater
          • 16 Years
          10 years, 7 months ago

Nice, I think I'll start Hazard but I reckon he'll be on the bench and I'll be dreading a 1pt cameo. Probably too risky to not start him though!

Yeah I've got 3 x Ars and 1 x Sun, and that'll do me. 2 x FT in Gw38 might be really valuable if only to offload my Saints defenders!

Yeh true, I'm just a sucker for DGW players!

Krul could and probably will get save points or possibly even a penalty save...doesn't have to be a c/s for him to score points

          10 years, 7 months ago

True. But I can't see any more than 3 points max for him. Newcastle are a shambles. We'll see.

I have those 2 and Giroud. Sticking by him but his form is worrying. If I could pick again i'd prob go Ozil.
