With the Premier League fixture list now revealed, our attentions are now fully focused on planning ahead of the new campaign in August.

In the past week we’ve provided you with insight on the teams faced with the easiest and most daunting passage over the opening four-to-six Gameweeks and, crucially, our season ticker fixture analysis tool was made live and available for you to reach your own conclusions.

The Season Ticker has been part of this site for many seasons, with the members’ version steadily evolving with new features. Some of you may well be unaware of the full functionality available in the tool, so we wanted to remind of the “How To†guide we built last season, guiding you through the use of the members ticker.

The eight movies below break up some of the features available, from the simple step of accessing the Ticker, right through to creating and sharing your own team ratings.

Part One – Accessing the Season Ticker Tool

Our season ticker tool is free to everyone on the site, offering a view of the next six fixtures for each team and allowing you to sort by Gameweek to view those teams with the most difficult and “easier” fixtures.

Our first movie shows you how to access the free version of the ticker and explains how we display fixture difficulty.

Part Two – The Members Ticker – Sorting by Difficulty

The version of the ticker available to members offers far more power to assess the difficulty of forthcoming fixtures for each team by allowing you to sort by a collection of Gameweeks.

View up to nine Gameweeks at once and sort the teams to assess those squads worthy of investment. Rollover a fixture to view previous meetings to add further insight.

Our second movie shows you more…

Part Three – The Members Ticker – Navigating Gameweeks

Not only can you add and remove Gameweeks from the members ticker view, you can also navigate back and forth throughout the season so you can plan your mid-term strategies.

Planning on playing your Wildcard early? Scroll the ticker to Gameweek 4 and check out who has the best run of fixtures from that point on.

This movie shows you how…

Part Four – The Members Ticker – Applying Filters

The members ticker not only gives you a view of the overall fixture difficulty ahead of each team, we’ve also supplied filters that show the chances of goals and clean sheets for each team based on their opponents to come.

Shopping for a defender? Use the “clean sheet filter” to view those teams most likely to keep shut-outs over their next run of matches. Looking for a Sergio Aguero alternative? View the “attacking filter” and the ticker will display those teams set up to score the most goals in the coming Gameweeks.

View this movie for the lowdown…

Part Five – The Members Ticker – Creating Filters

You may well think that our view of fixture difficulties are off-beam. Then why not tinker and create your own?

The members Ticker offers you the opportunity to edit our ratings to produce your own view of each team, enabling you to create brand new filters and overlays.

Check out this movie for a guide on how this is done…

Part Six – The Members Ticker – Sharing Filters

If you’ve created some filters that you think offer a helpful new view of the Season Ticker, or even if you want to an opinion on a filter you’ve created, you can share them with the community.

The Tickers import/export facility makes it easy – just expand the export ratings view and cut and paste the values into an email and the recipient can use the import panel to add your ratings to their ticker and get your filter.

We show you how this works in this movie…

Part Seven – The Members Ticker – Assessing Rotations

Finding pairings of goalkeepers and defenders who rotate home and away, or even rotate favourable fixtures, can be an important factor when selecting your initial squad lineup. The members ticker offers you a handy tool to facilitate such plans.

Members can drag and drop any row on the ticker to organise teams the way they want. Sort by difficulty on clean sheets, then drag and drop rows and you can piece together those teams that offer ideal keeper or defender pairings.

View this movie to see this feature in action…

Part Eight – The Members Ticker – The Expanded View

Did you know that you can use all of the members Ticker’s features in an expanded view? In one click you can expand the view to show up to 30 Gameweeks, giving you the ability to plan your long-term strategy with Wildcards and potential transfer targets.

This video shows you how…

As a previous and probable future member, I'm curious as to why none of the suggested changes to the season ticker have been implemented? Members (and, I think non-members, too) were asked during the season for ideas and many were proposed but it seems from this article that nothing has changed. Am I missing something? Or, if I'm right, why have none been implemented?

Are these still the promoted side's captains and how much do you think they'll be?

    Bournemouth - DEF - Elphick - 4.5?
    Norwich - DEF - Martin 5.0?
    Watford - FOR - Deeney - 6.0?

I'm going to be sad when it gets busy again, it becomes very difficult to actually talk to people when pages are changing every 5 minutes. There have been some interesting, lengthier discussions in the off-season, it feels like you get to know people more, as opposed to just a barrage of identical RMTs.

      1. Black Knights

Yeah there's scope for talk away from RMT's and player values, and it's great to chat on a personal level a little more. I guess once the game re-opens it's going to start getting worse but possibly bearable for a further week or two, and then back to the frenzy!

Is that the episode where Homer just keeps butting the elephant keeper in his side? "Mr Simpson, stop it Mr Simpson, Mr Simpson.."

That's the one, a classic episode.

"Mr. Blackheart, are you an ivory dealer?"

"Well, I've had lots of jobs in my day: whale hunter, seal clubber, president of the Fox Network. And, like most people, yeah, I've dealt a little ivory."

Load of graphical issues, apparently ported by a group not connected to the game makers.
Apparently they can be mostly sorted by dropping the graphic quality to medium/below and turning off all "NVidia GameWorks features" - I assume they are listed somewhere

      Just weighing in on this:

They capped it on PC to 30FPS, which is BS.
They also downgraded the graphics on PC so the console-peasants actually have something to brag about, and then this:

WBgames: "Expected: 30fps (capped). The Recommended Spec is intended to deliver an experience on par with the current generation of gaming platforms."

Meaning they have no plans to change it. They want you gaming like a console.

DO NOT BUY if you are a PC gamer.

I've not planned to buy this myself due to them not getting Paul Dini back to write. I've feared the Batmobile would be wrong, so the reviews and this issue have really put the nail in the coffin.

"Additionally, many gamers have been bemused to find a 30 frames-per-second cap in place. Thankfully, a work around has been discovered. All you need to do is open your Arkham Knight install directory, and navigate to, "\BmGame\Config\BmSystemSettings.ini”. In the config file, search for "Max_FPS=30", and change it to "Max_FPS=9999"."

Found this. This is the reason I don't do PC gaming, you have to be really tech savvy to use it properly.

But there are issues if it goes over 30FPS. You're not meant to have to change the config, however the game was not meant to be capped at 30. They didn't tell anyone this so now they're flooded with return requests.
Poor from WB Games, they will have lost a serious amount of the PC community because of this. Just look at the pcmasterrace subreddit, that's all that is being mentioned currently.

I'm experiencing the hassle of having friends at the moment: an old friend of mine, who I've known since school but haven't spoken to much since I've lived in London, has mentioned to another friend of mine that he thinks he might be my best man.

                        He isn't.

He's a very good player. £30m is the very upper limit of his value though.

Not sure AM was really the spot they needed to splash out on, and it's now a lot of pressure on him to deliver.

Sure he _can_ play on wing, but rarely has played there and isn't nearly as good there as in the middle.

He'll certainly be useful and should get a lot of game time with his versatility.

Didn't say anything about him not being useful, but if BR deploys him as a winger he's not making full use of him. And that will definitely reduce his FPL appeal too.

It's an old way to deploy italics when you can't actually use them. I don't know other way to emphasise a word here, aside from using CAPITALS, which is extremely annoying and thus avoidable even on my standards.

I think his and Sterlings stats are quite similar last season but Firmino had more assists. On paper he seems a perfect replacement so I'm very happy that has been addressed straight away! If the Bacca and Rondon deals come through to then I think we have a pretty formidable attack.

The members ticker is fantastic. So powerful. As Mark said you can create unique filters like 'weakness to set pieces' and you can use it to judge whether a set piece taker is worth owning over those fixtures. The members ticker is worth the membership fee alone!

I'm only creating my own ticker so my program can use it to make its own decisions. I need to factor in the strength of a teams attack, as well as the opponents' defence, and vice versa. So City facing che may be better for attacking returns than Sunderland facing WBA for example. I also want to generate team ratings using stats, and analyse the results of the ticker with programs.

Good starting point and adjust from here: ?

    Pants

    Kos Fuchs WBA 4.5 4.0

    Haz Silva Mana Richie 4.5

    Aguero Benteke Deeney

How much roughly would that team be? I have a feeling slightly over

Basically he doesn't act really, he just slight, ever so slightly adjusts his personality when on screen. The thing I forgot about was his eyes, when you talk to hip just look at those weird dark questionable eyes and suddenly think you're on Peep Show.
My sister introduced me and he said, "Right, yes then, I'm David," in his uncomfortable manner. He's not meant to be a 'celeb'.

Fair comment-was thinking more of Mitchell and Webb. My memory's a bit hazy (that's what comes of being an old git) but I have a vague recollection of Olivia Colman and Martin Freeman being involved as well although that's probably my mind playing tricks on me. Pass the water rat Nigel!

Was indeed. I'm pretty sure Olivia Colman was in it but I think I'm confusing Martin Freeman's involvement with the TV show Bruiser. Brilliant show, really funny and inventive-shame more people didn't watch it but they stuck it on BBC2 at 11pm or something stupid.

Barcelona are considering making a move for Manchester United winger Angel di Maria after a difficult first season in the Premier League, according to reports in Spain.

Sport write that Barcelona have been offered Di Maria by his agent Jorge Mendes, but it is believed no concrete offer has been made and the club are content with ‘keeping tabs’ on the Argentina man for now.

Mundo Deportivo, on the other hand, have suggested that Barcelona would be unable to secure the signing of Di Maria, due to a clause put into his contract by former club Real Madrid.

According to the paper, Madrid – wary of their former player joining a direct rival later down the line – inserted a clause in Di Maria’s United contract prohibiting the move.

There's something wrong about these "news". The reported fee is £12M but Marseille turned down a bigger offer by West Ham two days ago and offered Payet a new contract and now this says they forced him to move to get money? Doesn't compute.

That may be, but it is reported the other way round: player wanted to stay but club wanted the money. That's part of why I'm saying there's something very wrong with these reports.

Anyway, Bielsa will not be a happy man, losing his best players one by one and never getting any. He was already upset that they sold Valbuena last season, then lost Ayew and Gignac for free, are selling his trusted man Imbula and now his playmaker Payet too.

It's a bit strange, but he signed for a Mexican club Monterrey Tigres UANL. I have my suspicions. This may be some club avoiding FFP regulations and loaning him from Tigres, in same way that City did with Lampard. Or then it may be that he really is going to play there, who knows? We'll learn that in future, at least he is supposed to be in the team playing the Libertadores semi-finals, so that seems legitimate.
