Welcome to our annual attempt to select the best and worst options in the Fantasy Premier League game and assess how the forthcoming Premier League season will pan out.

Unlike previous attempts, last year saw a number of successful predictions from the Scouts. Granville was correct in predicting a stellar debut season for Diego Costa, Danny Ings and Gylfi Sigurdsson, while Jordan Henderson rewarded my faith in him as a budget midfielder.

Naturally we didn’t get it right all the time and there were some noticeable horror predictions. Andre Schurrle’s departure from Chelsea meant Mark’s guess that he would be the year’s best differential proved ill-fated. Nikica Jelavic, meanwhile, failed to live up to the hype generated by Ryan as being the top scoring budget forward of the year.

Here’s the link if you want to remind yourself just how reliable our soothsaying powers can be.

Hopefully in our latest predictions for the forthcoming Premier League our embarrassing picks will be consigned to the past for good.

Wow a lot of people writing off Liverpool to get in top 4. People will be very surprised, when they see us in that top 4 by the end of the season. Also what kind of prediction is Demi's? Spurs to be ahead of Liverpool? Good one. Lol

United and City don't look better than Liverpool in my eyes though. I've seen a lot of pundits writing us off as well I don't understand why tbh.

What would you call a failure?

Give him 2 weeks, and if you want to change things up, 2 FTs can help shift funds. Even 3 transfers for a -4 gives your team a whole new look.

Well failure is 2,2,2 when players like Ritchie and Lens are banging 10,12,10 in first 3 gws 😀

Without nothing itb. I don't have much flexibility but you surely right about giving him atleast 2 weeks and the use 2FTs

Ok so I have a very peculiar dilemma. Currently torn between-
    A - Ozil
    B - Milner + 1.5 for transfer flexibility

On the face of it you would think I would pick Ozil all day long given I have the funds but given that I already have Walcott and Koscielny feel I have arsenal coverage and without Milner in my team I have no Liverpool players.

Additionally can't help but feel having some money saved could be very useful in that I know 2/3 transfers from first 3 weeks will be getting aguero in and that is very unlikely to yield any spare cash.

Any thoughts? Am I just over thinking it?

Also feel like Liverpool could smash Stoke as vengeance for last game of season and miler could actually outscore mezut over the first few matches

Is it worth using Surman as the cheap mid instead of Wanyama to avoid having 3 Southampton if I go with Cedric and Targett (Targett will be bench fodder)

Why are so many people choosing Sterling and not Silva? Is it just the price difference? Silva is surely the better option?

IMO if they were the same price then Silva but if it was just 0.5 difference I would still go Sterling.

Got Panti in goal. Would you go Francis or Coates? Or any better 4.5s?
