Southampton’s Jordy Clasie suffers an injury setback. Arsene Wenger welcomes back Hector Bellerin ahead of the Crystal Palace trip. Swansea’s Ki Sung-Yeung is set to return to training following injury, whilst David de Gea remains unavailable for selection for United.

Hector Bellerin is back in the Arsenal squad after missing the opening day loss to West Ham with a muscle injury. Meanwhile, Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky remain sidelined for the Gunners. Arsene Wenger has also confirmed that Alexis Sanchez is ready for the weekend, having worked hard during the week.

Newcastle will have Vurnon Anita available for the Swansea clash, with the midfielder returning to training this week after being stretchered off in the stalemate with Southampton. The weekend, however, will come too soon for Paul Dummett and Remy Cabella who remain out with hamstring and thigh injuries respectively.

Ronald Koeman has confirmed that midfielder Jordy Clasie is out for two to three weeks with an ankle injury sustained whilst playing for the Under 21s in midweek. Fellow summer signing Steven Caulker is also ruled out for the weekend with a sinus infection. Koeman remains hopeful that Ryan Bertrand could return to training in two weeks.

Tim Sherwood has conceded that Jack Grealish, Carles Gil and Jores Okore remain sidelined through injury for Villa’s encounter with United tonight.

Roberto Martinez issued some encouraging news ahead of Everton’s trip to Southampton. Gerard Deulofeu, Mo Besic and Aiden McGeady are all expected to be available after missing the season opener with Watford, whilst Kevin Mirallas was due to return to train yesterday after recovering from the ankle problem that forced him off last Saturday. Leighton Baines is out for 12 to 14 weeks, however, after undergoing ankle surgery.

Watford duo Steven Berghuis and Almen Abdi have returned to training after missing last weekend’s draw with Everton through injury. The pair are expected to be available for the weekend, Quique Sanchez Flores has suggested.

Despite reports of his arrest last week, Slaven Bilic has confirmed that Diafra Sakho has trained normally during the week, and forward is available for selection against the Foxes. Elsewhere, Pedro Obiang has returned to training for the Hammers and is in contention for the weekend.

Spurs have a fully-fit squad for the visit of Stoke, according to Mauricio Pochettino. Hugo Lloris and Danny Rose are in contention for first-team returns, whilst Andros Townsend and Alex Pritchard are also available after recovering from injuries.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Peter Odemwingie is ruled out for two weeks with a hamstring injury. Fellow attacker Bojan is expected to step up his recovery with a run-out for the reserves at the weekend. Hughes is also optimistic that Marko Arnautovic and Marc Wilson will be available for the Spurs trip, after injury setbacks suffered at the start of the season.

Swansea midfielder Ki Sung-yeung is set to train after limping off with a hamstring injury against Chelsea last weekend – Garry Monk is expected to make a late decision on his fitness. Defender Jordi Amat is back and available for selection after recovering from a broken metatarsal suffered at the end of last season.

Louis van Gaal has confirmed that David De Gea remains unavailable for selection, due to ongoing transfer speculation. Marcos Rojo remains short of fitness and won’t be considered for the trip to Villa Park.

Thoughts on bringing in Mignolet? No real love for him on here?

Gomez seems a good option to liverpool defence atm

        This.

Although they both essentially cost the same, so I'd go for Mignolet rather than Gomez of buying right now.

Good cheap option as a goalkeeper. With a clean slate I'd choose him or Romero, probably Mignolet until we know more about Romero's game time long term.

I've gone for him from the start- nailed on unlike Gomez and only 0.5 more

    Current Team after 1 transfer:

    Ruddy
    Coates Shaw Koscienly
    Walcott Ozil Depay Hazard Mane
    Rooney Sakho

    (Rudd, Francis, Graham, Simpson) 0itb

Thinking to WC to this team:

    Stekelenberg
    Coates Cresswell Haidara
    Ozil Depay Hazard Mane
    Sakho Kane Benteke

    (Mcarthey, Francis, Westwood, Targett)

with 2.5 itb to save transfer in GW3 and then do Mane + Benteke > Ritchie + Aguero

SHALL I PULL THE TRIGGER ? thanks ahead

My opinion is that the first few weeks is the time to take risks, hence Walcott Captain. Good to go?

    Cech
    Ivanovic | Cresswell | Cedric | Coates
    Sterling | Walcott (C) | Fabregas | Mane
    Aguero | Sakho

    Elliot | Wilson | Oxford | Fletcher

Ultimate FPL players.. What are you doing with your team this week? I'm real stuck on mine.. Not very happy with my squad but don't want to start wasting transfers.. Think I'm going to try and stick a couple of weeks out to get more info on teams etc then have more transfers to play with.

Yeah same. I have Walcott so maybe Sanchez is unnecessary.

Was thinking Payet in for Haz and then upgrade Rooney to Aguero before GW4. Would still have 2.5 itb to do a GW3 upgrade too.

But it is Hazard and he'd killed it the last 3 years!

I'm doing Pelle over Rooney, so it's not as crazy as it seems.

I'm between 3 atm Benteke Mane and Rooney literally every captain choice this week has doubts IMO it will be hitting the jackpot with what captain comes off this GW I think

I'm deciding between Gomis and Manè. But for you I'd definitely go Manè.

      1) Rooney hasn't scored at Villa park since 2007
      2) Rooney looked disappointing last week and Villa are stronger
      3) Away fixture
      4) Manè is more explosive
      5) Manè is facing a poor defensive Everton side who are without Baines and Stones as a doubt.
      6) Midfield pick = Bonus clean sheet point = 1 more point for a goal = more baps

All my planning goes out the window when i realize which games are televised(on Rooney over Sakho cause of this). And if there's one thing i cant resist it is Monday Night football! Gonna start Ritchie over Mahrez so i enjoy watching the game. I've convinced myself that he's gonna terrorize Gomez/Moreno and Bournemouth(who play a quick counterattacking game) will surprise Pool.
As usual both decisions will go wrong and i'll regret it in the long term just for a fleeting moment of excitement..
Sums up all my life decisions

Was going to keep Walcott for another week but I'm going to have to dump him now due to the price drop tonight. A 0.1 change totally fu¢k's up my team planning.

There's no thing as messing up a team plan after the first GW of the season
