With mid-price assets continuing to deliver, Sunday’s fare finds three of the genuine title contenders in action, allowing us to assess the form of a series of heavy-hitters.

Arsenal get things underway with their visit to Palace and that’s followed by the titanic clash as Man City host Chelsea at the Etihad.

The Gunners arrive in South London off the back of a shock 2-0 reverse to West Ham. They can, however, take comfort from the fact that they are unbeaten in twelve matches at Selhurst Park but will be wary of a Palace side that boasts an array of weapons at their disposal. Alan Pardew’s Eagles enjoyed an impressive away win at the Norwich on the opening day and will be looking to build on that by improving home performances – they have lost half of their 10 home games under Pardew’s reign. The Gunners, meanwhile, turn up having won five of their last six away trips.

The tea-time encounter is, on paper, a classic. Chelsea go into the match still licking wounds from an opening day roughing-up by an impressive Swansea and will be without Thibaut Courtois as a result of his second-half red card in that 2-2 draw. City’s preparations could not have been better – they strolled to a 3-0 win at West Brom on Monday night and, arguably, were the most impressive side on show in Gameweek 1 with David Silva, in particular, dazzling in midfield.

Mourinho will be wary of City’s confidence and is expected to settle on the back foot in a bid to catch City on the break with pace – he can take confidence from the fact that his side are unbeaten in their last four against Manuel Pellegrini’s side. On the flipside, the Chilean will point to a recent home record which states seven straight wins, delivering six clean sheets.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Give a man a fish, he can eat for one day, teach him how to fish, he can eat for a life time.

To find up to date BPS figures, go to FPL website. Click on the result you want (Click on the Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal for example), info will drop down and click on detailed stats. On the second column from the right you will see BPS, the player with the most will get 3 points.

    Alternatively, go to http://totalfpl.com/bonuspoints

Last few pages I noticed the same grav names asking how many bps players got. They will keep on asking, which isn't a problem, but I thought it would be nice to tell people how to find out themselves instead of relying on others to feed them every day.

    Hi Guys,

Advice please, any recommended changes greatly appreciated (WC Active):

    Ruddy (Rudd)

    Darmian / Soares / Huth (Clark/S.Taylor)

Hazard / Sanchez / Mahrez / Redmond (Drinkwater)

    Aguero / Benteke / Lukaku

Having had a good previous history and an awful first 2 GW's so far really need to get this right. Any help greatly appreciated.

People with cheap benches of 4.5m apiece, do you always play the midfielder ahead of the two defenders?

I have done that for a few seasons but am wondering if Bentaleb over Ward and Morgan is bad strategy or bad luck.

Q: Do you always play the midfielder ahead of the two defenders?

      A: Never*.

So much easier to find a decent shout for a CS as our 1st sub than it is to guess when a DM will net us some attacking returns.

(*Note: Wanyama / Boyd were exceptions to the rule. 3 / 4 goals last year doesn't change the fact that 5th mids rarely, if ever score.)

Yes, it was nice to see him being quite selfish in the first half. Hope he stays that way. Will be a good season for him. Such low ownership - price will rise over coming weeks.

As always, it depends on what you do with the money you save from having Özil over Sanchez. I like Özil and he's currently in my team, but he won't score anywhere near as many goals as Sanchez over the course of the season.

One gives us a captain's option the other a great source PPM wise.

And, don't ever think we can't have two players from the same team who play the same position on our own FPL squads.

      Mata & Hazard
      Walcott & Cazorla
      Silva & Yaya
      etc, etc, etc...
All managed to finish Top 10 overall in the same season.

Necessay WC with this lot? Needing some help...37 points total the last 2 weeks...

    Schmeicel - Hennesey
    Ivan - Belle - Prodl - Francis - Coates
    Hazard - Mane - Ayew - Ritchie - Fletcher
    Rooney - Kane - Vardy

    1FT; 2.5 ITB

Considering a WC for a confidence booster more than anything, and I think it's a decent week as any to do it if I'm planning an early one.

I do feel that way, yes. But as long as Koscielny continues to back away from shots and we continue to falter at set pieces, we'll keep conceding. However, I'll stick by the first statement and say that clean sheets are around the corner once we get firing.

Home v. Away = BIG difference.

Before the WHM game, the Gunners had kept something like 10 CS in their last 13(?) at the Emirates.

Also, IDK how often we'll see CPL blank at home, no matter who they're facing this year.

      Early days...
