Back in the Saturday morning slot, it’s time to pop in at the bookies to asses Paddy Power odds and add those to our pre-deadline thinking.

Before we start scanning Paddy’s scorer and clean sheet reckoning, you should know that they’re offering enhanced odds on every three o’clock kick-off today for new accounts. If you’re yet to register and fancy a flutter on today’s afternoon clashes, check this link out which includes odds like 10/1 on a Leicester win against Spurs and 13/1 on a Stoke victory at Carrow Road.

Sunday’s acca finds Paddy offering 16/1 on victories for Man City, Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid across the European Leagues, while, for Monday night’s clash at the Emirates, you can get 7/1 on an Arsenal win or 18/1 on a Liverpool away win. This special also offers up the bet £10 get £10 for up to £400 in free bets.

Be sure to check Paddy Power’s terms and conditions on all those bets.

In line with our own Captain Poll, Paddy have earmarked Sergio Aguero (1.61) as the most likely to find the net over the weekend, ahead of his Sunday trip to Goodison Park. The Argentine looks in fine fettle after scoring and amassing seven attempts against champions Chelsea last time out. In appreciation of the Sky Blues’ unparalleled goal threat, back-up frontmen Wilfried Bony (1.90) and Kelechi Iheanacho (2.25) have also been afforded short odds against the Toffees.

Despite the fact he mustered zero shots at goal against Aston Villa, Wayne Rooney is tipped at 1.83 to open his account at home to Newcastle United. The favourable nature of the match-up also finds Memphis Depay (2.20) and Javier Hernandez (2.20) grouped near the top of the list, as the Red Devils search for their third consecutive victory and clean sheet. That makes Depay the most fancied midfielder to notch in the Gameweek.

Diego Costa (2.00) has been pinpointed as another player to pick up form, with Chelsea fancied to register goals at West Bromwich Albion, despite recent travails. Even so, Eden Hazard (2.50) slips out of the top 15 this weekend, reflecting the Blues’ inability to fashion a single big chance thus far.

Backed at 2.20 to notch the first goal of the new campaign, Harry Kane will fancy his chances at the King Power Stadium, having tallied four goals against Leicester City last season. Across the north London divide, Olivier Giroud (2.20) is favoured over Alexis Sanchez (2.37) when Liverpool pay a visit, while Theo Walcott (2.37) is priced prohibitively given that he remained rooted to the bench against Palace.

Scanning further down the list, Bafetimbi Gomis and Diafra Sakho are pitched at the 2.40 mark. The former has registered in both of Swansea’s opening fixtures and enjoys the prospect of facing a Sunderland rearguard that’s conceded seven goals already. The latter, meanwhile, will serve as West Ham’s principal goal threat in the wake of Mauro Zarate’s hamstring knock, as the Irons gear up for an enticing home tie against Bournemouth.

CLEAN SHEET ODDS – GAMEWEEK 3

TeamOdds
Man United1.90
Chelsea2.00
Crystal Palace2.29
Swansea2.40
Norwich2.50
Arsenal2.62
Man City2.70
West Ham3.10
Watford3.10
Southampton3.10

No side has conceded fewer shots at goal (15) than Manchester United (1.90), who are ranked as favourites to record a clean sheet for the second week running as Newcastle roll up to Old Trafford.

Only Sunderland (seven) have seen their net ripple more times than Chelsea (five) this term, but that hasn’t prevented Paddy offering shorts odds on the Blues (2.00) for their road clash against the Baggies. Those Fantasy managers holding onto the likes of Branislav Ivanovic and Cesar Azpilicueta will be encouraged by the fact that Tony Pulis’ unit have registered just eight shots inside the box.

Crystal Palace are priced at 2.29 to snuff out Aston Villa’s attack at Selhurst Park, given that the Villains rank bottom for attempts (12) at present. Elsewhere, Swansea locks horns with the Black Cats in pursuit of a second successive clean sheet, with Paddy offering odds of 2.40 for such a scenario. Norwich City – who shipped three goals in their last home encounter – are priced just back of the Swans at 2.50, as they play host to Stoke City later today.

Arsenal come in at 2.62 ahead of Liverpool’s visit to the Emirates. Despite carding consecutive 1-0 wins, the Merseysiders fashioned just five shots on target across those fixtures, which bodes well for the Gunners’ chances of a shut-out. Like the Reds, Manchester City are yet to concede this campaign but have been valued down at 2.70 due to form of Everton’s attacking contingent ahead of their Goodison Park showdown.

There are a trio of teams rounding off the top 10 with odds of 3.10. West Ham duke it out at home with a Cherries outfit that’s yet to score, while Watford and Southampton are matched equally for their head-to-head, with both sides drawing a blank last Gameweek.

On WC. Stay Darmian (5.6m) or get Shaw?

    -- lose 0.1m TV
-- but ManU are not going to keep cleansheet every week, attacking returns are important, right?
    -- low ownership of Shaw
