An extraordinary death threat ode to Granville provided the inspiration and backdrop for this week’s Scoutcast.

My co-host wasn’t sure whether to feel flattered or mildly panicked by a community post like no other.

Recovering from the menacing tribute, Granville joined forces with Jonty and myself to assess the merits of the deadline day arrivals, before grappling with another round of community questions.

We rinse through the De Bruyne debate, the heavy-hitter slump, briefly consider buying Jonny Evans, before tentatively giving out dating advice – again inspired by the imaginations of you, the community.

This episode was first broadcast live via our YouTube channel and Google Hangouts. Be sure to subscribe to our channel for news of the latest live additions.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Diouf being is annoying, I would take Rondon but only 6.5 to spend, I might be forced into Wilson, but really want someone different 🙁

    1. Billy Gilmore

Pretty similar probably. There's always a lot of fallers as people gravitate from the many to the few.

Repost from my Market Analysis article. (http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2015/09/02/team-value-options-during-the-international-break/)

      Total price changes: 476
      Price rises: 63
      Price falls: 413

      Vs. this point in 2014

      Total price changes: 472
      Price rises: 82
      Price falls: 390

A slight reduction in the ratio of rises to falls this year (1:7) compared to last year (1:5) which may or may not persist. Broadly speaking the market is behaving similarly to last year.

    In a tricky scenario...

Atm, I'm thinking Fabianski to Begovic and then Williams to Darmian in a week or two.

Have two FTs and about to let one slide.

Don't see the point of this
It's a transfer waiting to happen

Begovic won't be long term - do you really want to have to take a forced transfer in a few weeks.

few weeks? He's reportedly out for atleast 2 months. That's pretty long term to me.

Neither timeframe has been confirmed officially i think, need to wait for the press conference. But Belgian reports are saying 10 weeks

              Ah fair enough

In that case, yep wait for the presser and if confirmed I guess he's quite a stand out pick in goal, and a cheap way into Chelsea

Oh no I hadn't seen that update, that guy is usually reliable.

Having had one myself I know meniscus injuries can be troublesome, if the report proves true 10 weeks could be very optimistic.

I don't mind making another transfer in 8 weeks time if points have been gained. I see your thinking but the future transfer aside, do you see profit/potential in the move?

Definitely profit and yeah the potential

I think it's cos' I was burned last year with keepers so this year I've got two that are long term plans and play week in week out.

Targett rose overnight! Very important for me as it gives me a buffer to use my free transfer elsewhere when he inevitably starts dropping in price.

Hoping it's good news on Courtois today otherwise I only have McCarthy to play in the sticks this week.

    Ruddy
Shaw huth kolorav -- Francis Coates
Mahrez Chadli hazard sterling --- mane
    Kun Wilson Deene

    A: hazard >> sanchez
B: hazard >> depay...allows me to upgrade deeney next go

I could drop Kolarov and Cech but then I have a weak defense... I have Gomez in current setup so he is 4.7

    Defence would be

    Myhill
Martin, Gomez, Richards, Evans, DEF 4.6 (who??)
    Sako, Silva, Pedro, Sanchez, Mahrez
    Aguero, Wilson, Gomis

    Worth downgrading for Sanchez?!

Does anyone feel this Begovic situation is a catch 22? Could be fool's gold like Courtois has been with Chelsea continuing their poor form and fix. On the other hand, this malaise can't last forever and if he was to become the bargain he could potentially be, then we'd kick ourselves if we overlooked him.

It does always feel like an accident waiting to happen, particularly after the Remy debacle last year, but if Courtois is out for a long time then Begovic is the only keeper they have. You would expect Chelsea to improve, they can't be this bad all season, but when exactly they will improve is impossible to gauge. There's also the question of whether you want to use 2FTs over time on keepers (discarding WCs).
