Tottenham welcome Crystal Palace to White Hart Lane in Sundayโs early kick-off. Spurs recorded their first win of the campaign last time out against Sunderland but will face a stern examination in front of their own fans with the Eagles arriving having won both their previous road ties.
Before the weekend, Spurs ranked fourth for shots on target (27) and joint-second for big chances (12) yet have just four goals to show for their efforts โ drawing attention to their poor finishing. Back-to-back clean sheets for Mauricio Pochettinoโs troops show their improvement at the back, but theyโre still yet to taste victory at home this term and have chalked up just two shut-outs in their last 11 match-ups at the Lane.
Prior to Saturday’s matches, no side had conceded more shots inside the box (58) than Palace this season, but itโs important to note than Alan Pardewโs outfit have already faced off against the like of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City. On the attacking front, Palace rank in the top six for big chances (10) and shots on target (24). Only a trio of clubs (Man City, Leicester and West Ham โ 11) boasted a superior goal output to the Eagles (eight) going into this Gameweek, ensuring that Spursโ rearguard are in for a testing afternoon.
