    I doubt Gomez was dropped. Rogers praised him midweek. He has been due a rest; did we expect him to play every minute this season?

    I predicted earlier in the season that Moreno would start in narrow formations to give us more width. Makes sense that he's starting now. Rodgers rushing Sturridge back to improve performance and as a result is playing the more attacking wide left back, since this is the best formation that will suit playing both Sturridge and Benteke.

        He was good, but my point is that I don't think the reason Gomez didn't feature was due to him being dropped. I think he was being rested, whilst Rodgers changed tactics. Nevertheless, he probably isn't the best option in the long run now.
