The Dugout Discussion – Watford versus Crystal Palace

There’s just the one Premier League fixture for Fantasy managers to monitor over their Sunday lunches, with Watford welcoming Crystal Palace to Vicarage Road.

It’s a tale of two sides with conflicting form: the Hornets are riding high after back-to-back victories, while the Eagles’ wings have been clipped by successive defeats.

Watford rank third-bottom for goals conceded (five) and big chances conceded (five), illustrating their diligence at the back. Moreover, they are the only side in the league that are yet to concede a home goal this campaign. The Hornets have added a sting to their defensive resolve in recent Gameweeks, too, recording wins over Swansea and Newcastle.

The Eagles amassed eight goals through the opening four Gameweeks but have registered consecutive blanks since then. Also of concern to Alan Pardew is the fact that Palace have conceded more shots inside the box (66) than any team in the league. That being said, they rank sixth for big chances (10) and shots on target (28), which should ensure that Watford’s back line are in for a testing afternoon.

Aguero needs an open net 1 yard from goal to score in that FIFA ad.

Vardy out of the picture for me as a Wilson replacement due to 3 foxes already in the line up.....have 1.5 ITB.....thinking Diouf might be the best shout with Ighalo the obvious budget route.....any other thoughts my friends?

The danger with no owning these guys is exactly what happened.

We know all the cheaper enablers now that having the biggest hitters and a really good team is possible.

Im in the same boat. My defence is:
      Targett, Gomez, Darmian, Richards, Kolorov

Targett and Gomez need to go in next 2 weeks - my current thinking is Evans or Dawson as my first change. Possibly Azpil the week after if Chelski sort there lives out next week.

Be interested in what you have decided?
