Our delve into the Gameweek 9 data comes around tonight, as we cast an eye over City’s weekend goal heroes in our first members article of the week. Arsenal’s midfield differentials and Newcastle’s four-goal Dutchman are on our radar, whilst we also asses a couple of overlooked recruits for our five-man backlines ahead of the weekend deadline.

    I really want Kane :

A: Costa > Kane ( can get Coleman next week then )

B: Martial > Kane ( will have to be Jagielka next week (£)

C: Forget Kane for now, Costa and Martial both have good fixtures too

    * The appeal of Kane playing Bournemouth plus Villa home on MNF next is my reasoning, plus with Chelsea dire attacking stats and Martial out wide

Why are you so keen on Kane?

      1. Jay_
        10 years, 9 months ago

Fixtures and his been taking a lot of shots and good position's, the only (most important of course) thing missing is goals, and his on pens most of the time, and thus may sound silly but Daniel tells me explosion imminent, and he really knows what his taking about, plus holding onto Costa and Martial when the numbers aren't there seems too reserved, I like to play aggressive,, I may even captain him next week too on MNF

    Help me out guys.

    I have Gomis and 0FT.

    Would you:
    A) swap him for Vardy now (-4)
    B) keep for Villa game, then swap for Bony for free next week for the NOR game.

Ps i do have mahrez if that even matters

it just worries me that Vardy is a big captain choice this week. Although i dont think CP deffence is too bad. I think having Bony for NOR and VILLA is gonna be game breaking though, so tempted to stick to B

I need some help with a transfer

    A) Ayew to Wijnaldum( Watched the swansea stoke game and he was awful and only 1 in 5 games has he returned any attack points) do think it is time too move on
    B) Mané to wijnaldum (i am thinking since a have pellé too and i want a versatile midfield since, southampton next 3fixs after this gw, everton and utd have nice fixs after this gw too.)
    C) Keep the team as it is.

i have a kdb and sanchez, mané,ayew and payet.
I will keep kdb, sanchez and payet.
Ayew is out for good after this gw but should a jump on it straight away and catch another midfielder on form or hope for the best.
Mané is good but i want versatile midfield and alot of midfielder are bringing attacking points...
I am thinking mata next gw for mané/ayew

I do think it's time to move Ayew on but not sure about Wijnaldum, Norwich's balance looked awful in most of the game, though happy with result it is rather flattering. I feel against a better team he and Janmaat not tracking back enough will cause more problems than points gained.

Trust me, it's paradise. This is where the hungry come to feed. For mine is an FPL generation that circles the globe and searches for something we haven't tried before. So never refuse an invitation, never resist the unfamiliar, never fail to be polite and never outstay the welcome. Just keep your mind open and suck in the experience. And if it hurts, you know what? It's probably worth it.

Assuming both are fit and playing, what are peoples thoughts on Coleman vs Baines?

Looking at the past couple of season performances, Baines appears to provide significantly more assists (14 vs 6), while Coleman has scored slightly more goals (9 vs 7).

      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Coleman as I'm guessing a lot of Baines' attacking points came from the set pieces he no longer has. Plus Coleman is cheaper.

Thats a good point, a lot of Baines goals were from when he took penalties, which Lukaku is on now? Will he not take free kicks when he's back though?

    2. Jay_
      10 years, 9 months ago

It's got to be Coleman I think, will be frustrating owning Baines and they get a pen, surprised Coleman has more goals, makes me want him even more

I prefer Baines. He is also IMO a better penalty take than Lukaku. Hopefully also on set pieces now that Mirallas seems to be out of the equation somewhat.

Need him back for sure and he does deliver a good dead ball and I take your point with Mirallas.also. I still favour Coleman, but it may well be they are both good options, as Everton have been operating under a patch up at the back for most of the season.

          Last week was particularly disappointing.

If you were to double up on arsenal mid with Alexis who would it be ?

    Ozil or Walcott ?

Ozil keeps getting better game by game and as we know is consistent when on form meanwhile

Theo is the more explosive option

See many players reinvesting bits of the extra cash from Kun on several players and leaving nothing in bank, this will be a really headache when they want Kun back, I've gone Cabaye and Costa, so I can go route 101, cheap 4.5 in, Kun in.

    1. Jacques The Lad
      • 11 Years

OK still put it this way you downgrade form Kun to Pelle leaving around 5, you use 2 of it to upgrade several players, leaving 3 in bank, you have lots of money in bank, but your now short of Kun, now you need to get that 2 back, get it?

        1. Jacques The Lad
          • 11 Years

yup well if people are spreading it over several players each then it might be a bit more difficult but like Jay said below if they're bringing in 3 or so players at the fixture turn then they ought to be able to afford the necessary hits, plus Id personally give Kun a game or two to get back up to speed

Pretty sure Giroud will start up front for Arsenal this weekend, reasons:

    1) Walcott has been poor last 2 games
    2) Giroud scord 2 goals in 2 games he came on. Wenger needs to start him to keep his form
    3) Walcott needs rested
    4) Giroud has scored 4 goals in last 3 games vs Everton

But if Ramsey out, Walcot may start on the right, but I bet Giroud will start up front

    1. Jacques The Lad
      • 11 Years
      10 years, 9 months ago

Walcott has had plenty of rest and I don't think 4 would be a valid reason. If he's not playing it will be a tactical decision based on how the other team plays, counter attack = wally, possession = Gru

the staff always analyze the opponents everyweek, and Giroud has good record vs the same Everton team, he should start. it's tactical decision

Now what the hell transfer should I make this week?

    Myhill
    Davies - Dawson - Janmaat
    Mahrez - KDB - Payet - Sanchez
    Igloo - Vardy - Sanchez

Subs Henessey - Mata - Cedric - Souaré

I really haven't thought about much it tbh

Gomis and Gomez need to go. Preferably for Lukaku and Bellerin. One this week and one next. Arsenal play Everton this week, so which do I do first?

Defence otherwise will be Richards Kolarov Dawson (Creswell on bench)
