The waiting is finally over and we are pleased to roll out the first round draws for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII as well as our Members Cup VI. For those who submitted their teams for the Gameweek 22 qualifying round, read on to discover if you made the cut as we assess some of the standout match ups to take place in the first rounds during Gameweek 23.

The cut off score in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup was 68 points, which was an impressive 22 points above the overall Gameweek 22 average. With an overall placing of 323,252 ComeonSpurs is the lowest-ranked player with that score to make the cut.

The high qualifying score means some high-flying Fantasy managers fell by the wayside. This includes CTreacy, the current leader of the FFScout league and 11th placed in the overall ranking, who missed the cut by three points.

Luckily for reigning champion Mark, who scored 55 points in Gameweek 22, all former winners get a bye into the first round. He faces a tough tie against The Quarrymen, who is ranked 103,471 places above him.

Amongst our other former winners Gribude takes on Wheato, mch faces DK5, donnellyc squares up to plummo, Jonty (that’s me) has an encounter with ftnc, while CMIFLFC has a match up with Edmond.

Another former winner, sleepingmaster, will take on community regular Parm.

Meanwhile, Tdubb05 faces Martinp, Wild Rover meets Keith Renouard and Gooner Dave will be hoping his experience of winning the competition will see off Hazardous Blue. Finally among our winners, Ninja Fit Saints takes on Hellraisers.

Other key ties include Sanoj85’s contest against former FPL champion Tom Fenley, while garpheet is another to draw a short straw as he prepares to do battle with Simon March (Dufflinks), the reigning FPL champion.

The highest ranked qualifier is Lexon39, who is 49 in the world and progressed with a score of 79. He faces The dude – Brighton fan in round one.

The full first round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup can be found here.

The cut off score in the Members Cup was also 68. Those with more than that score or with 68 and a rank below 84,590 progress to round one.

With a rank of 133, Albana City is the highest placed manager in the competition and faces Carlton Palmer in round one.

Amongst our former winners Acquafresca takes on Genovoze, while Trigg meets Jimgranty.

Other notable encounters in the Members Cup include Tom Fenley’s clash with community regular S Kuqi, while I face another notable community member Bowstring the Carp.

The Members Cup qualifying round’s highest scorer Facer, who notched an impressive 102 points in Gameweek 22, takes on Somewhatpleasing.

The full first round draw of the Members Cup can be found here.

      I would want to play Bellerin if Costa is not fit to play. Bench Sagna because of City poor away record?

    According to ESPN, "sources" tell that ManU is preparing a bid for Cavani this January. Daily Star has it that they're already discussing it with Cavani's agent who is very open for this deal. PSG will, however, ask a sum upwards of £50M to let Cavani go in middle of the season.

      PSG wont let Cavani go, especially with Ibra now coming to the end of his career. Pretty much a non story

        I would have said the same just half a year ago, but no longer. Cavani seems to actually want out this time and with his comments, demands and lack of discipline has got annoyed comments recently from both the coach and the other players, and they discussed this in a meeting, and disciplined the guy. Whether or not he has changed his opinion remains to be seen, but if he still feels the team must play more for him, they may very well sell him. They probably won't prefer to sell him in the middle of the season, but are already looking for a new CF for the next summer, which suggests that Cavani would leave.

        And Cavani has found himself on bench in league matches recently, and that may continue.

    I'm a bit loathed to lose KDB for sun next week, but it does look the simplest route to Sanchez....

    Whatcha reckon?

    A)
    GW23: VVD -> Baines
    GW24: KDB -> Sanchez

    B)
    GW23: VVD -> 4.8 max (JEvans/Daniels)
    GW24: DDG & Mahrez -> Elliot & Sanchez

    C)
    GW23: VVD -> 3.8m max (Targett)
    GW24: DDG & Alli -> Elliot & Sanchez

    DDG
    Bellerin, Simpson, Moreno
    KDB, Payet, Mahrez, Alli
    Aguero, Lukaku, Kane

    Hennessey, VVD, Wolly, Surman
    Bank 2.3m, 2FT

        2 home games up next after sun, and we know how good he is at home!

        I'm toying with getting Baines and just ignoring Sanchez for a few weeks. 2 months out so I expect he'll be eased back in. The potential City double in a few weeks is another thing.

            Yep. Although I'm quite tempted with VVD -> Targett. My defence is in reasonable shape this week anyway and the extra cash gives much more flexibility next week. Target's attacking stats are actually better than Baines too. Whatcha reckon?

    Hi guys,

    Would any of you consider bringing in Sanchez and silva next week to also enable an upgrade of Mahrez to Barkley. I'm thinking silva and Sanchez can be big big hitters abs out score the other two?

            I'm not sure Silva will be in it for long. I'm a serial-Silva purchaser, which by definition means I'm a serial Silva-seller. I love him in my team but if he can't stay fit or Hazard, Sanchez or KDB have a good week he'll be the one to make way.

    Just about to get in Baines and Payet, but there is a nagging feeling that Jags is going to match Baines, for 1m less.

    Obviously 2 assists last week, but is Baines really worth it anymore?

      Debating this one myself Trig. Jags has a bigger goal threat and a higher baseline BPS, but them assists from Baines are more likely.

    Butland / Hennessey

    Aldi / Monreal / Cathcart / Morgan / Dawson

    Mahrez / Arnie / Payet / Ozil / Alli

    Kane / Lukaku / Giroud

    5.9M ITB

    I want to bring Aguero in, who shall I sacrifice?

    A) Kane
    B) Lukaku
    C) Giroud

    These last two GWs have been absolutely dreadful. I picked up 28 and then 35 points and I've dropped from 22K in GW 20 to 50K in GW 22. I don't think my team requires any major surgery, but I really think I need attacking coverage from Man City after I recently got rid of KdB.

    The plan is to bring in Aguero, and then perhaps bring in Sanchez later on. However, I am unsure of which striker to get rid of. Kane, Lukaku and Giroud are all in decent form and their fixtures don't look too bad either. Lukaku is the striker with the most points, and I have no other Everton players. I would get the most money from getting rid of Kane, and it would lessen my team's dependence on Tottenham (I have tripled up on Spurs players...). I also feel that once Sanchez returns, Giroud's returns won't be as high as they are now.

    So it pretty much boils down to sacrificing one of Kane or Giroud to bring in Aguero.

          Me too.. Last year this fixture ended 0-1(Bojan) and Leicester had a midweek replay and they could be a bit tired and frustrated after they lost the game... Alli easely can outscore Mahrez this week considering his away stats and this will be huge boost to my rankings, but Mahrez is an outstanding player when playing with confidence and especially with Vardy upfront to open spaces for him.. Really hard task this GW!

    2FTs (0.0min the bank) and looking for some ideas from you kind people. Currently at:

    Butland
    Moreno - Walker - Huth
    KDB - Walcott - Mahrez - Alli
    Aguero - Lukaku - Kane

    Hennessey - Jones - Francis - King

    Thinking maybe to just either downgrade Jones to Targett or ANother, or switch to JEvans and let the second FT roll over?

      Should try and upgrade Walcott to Ozil if possible.

        Walcott will go in time, but not the priority - besides, I want Sanchez!

        One to monitor for sure, I think he is 1st choice, and hopefully Trippier gets the Europa League games when they come back around.

    68 that's a big big qualification threshold. With over 3000 entries I wish they'd increased it to 2000 teams and ended it a week later.

    This will be my move this gw

    Walcott -> Cabaye
    KDB -> Stanislas
    Ighalo -> Kun
    For -4

    Will give me
    Butland, Myhill
    Bellerin, Dann, Cresswell, Toby, Bennett
    Stanislas, Mahrez, Payet Ozil, Cabaye
    Kun, Kane, Lukaku

    And I would have enough money to do Ozil -> Sanchez for free next week

    Should I wildcard to sure up my defence, yes or no?
    Current defence:
    Butland
    Pieters Bellerin Simpson (target, Oxford)

    Wildcard changes:
    Hart
    Mertesacker Rose Wolly (Simpson, Targett)

      Absolutely no way a wildcard is worth using just to tidy up defence in that way.

    First time I've ever entered the Scout cup competitions. I didn't realise quite how difficult it was to qualify - 22 points above the average in a one GW shoot out. Feel disappointed now.

    Very interesting, I see that my opponent has only three players different to me in his entire squad and of these three, all are defenders, two of whom will be on the bench! It could literally come down to that one defender slot plus captain pick (if different)...

      The qualifying score has meant that to qualify, you need to be in the Top 6% of all teams this gameweek. With such a relatively small percentage it's a reasonable assumption to make that there's going to be a lot of similarities between all of the teams.

        Good point that.

        Maybe for future seasons it would be worth expanding the number of rounds so that the cut-off score isn't so harsh.

        I also thought this when I saw the initial article that the qualifying week for the members cup should be a week later. This means that both cups finish on the same week but that you get two separate attempts to qualify. Just a thought.

    Comparison Tool: Remove all special lettering making it simpler to search for players like Alexis Sanchez

    Matches: Sort by GW in descending order (most recent GW first)

    Team stats: Add an additional filter for home and away. Allowing you search team stats for the previous 4 home matches

      Is it possible to do a team history search.
      Ive always wanted to do a line up check on teams but get put off having to trawl through each gameweek.

      Ive never found the tool? Is it there?

      if not , id like to add that to the list.
