Arsenal will be looking for revenge this evening as they host a Southampton side that put four goals past them at St Mary’s on Boxing Day. City and Tottenham both face away trips to bottom-four sides Sunderland and Norwich – encouragingly, they defeated their respective opponents by three-goal margins in the reverse fixtures earlier this season. Table-toppers Leicester’s match with Liverpool should also be a compelling clash – the Reds were victorious in their last encounter but the Foxes have built up some resilience in recent weeks.

Wednesday’s pair of matches finishes off the Gameweek. Everton will be expecting another victory over Newcastle, given that the Toffees have prevailed in five of their last six league matches. Meanwhile, Chelsea will travel to Watford having scored five goals in the FA Cup at the weekend – the Blues are unbeaten in seven while the Hornets picked up back-to-back wins by dispatching Nottingham Forest to join the Fifth Round pot.

If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar scoring and pricing system.

Check out this video to see how team creation works.

MY TEAM

Kasper Schmeichel (4.5m)
Cameron Borthwick-Jackson (4m)
Aaron Creswell (5.5m)
Laurent Koscielny (6m)
Dele Alli (5m)
Michail Antonio (5m)
David Silva (10m)
Alexis Sanchez (11m)
Romelu Lukaku (9m)
Harry Kane (9.5m)
Sergio Aguero (13m)

KEY PICKS

Kasper Schmeichel: Claudio Ranieri appears to have focused on defensive solidity of late and the Foxes keeper has been crucial to that plan. Schmeichel has registered an average of 3.2 saves per appearance during a five-match run that has seen his side concede just once ahead of this evening’s King Power clash with Liverpool.

Aaron Creswell: Coincidentally, the left-back’s last attacking returns arrived against upcoming opponents Aston Villa on Boxing Day, netting a goal just before the interval in a 1-1 stalemate. Cresswell – who also has three assists and eight bonus points to his name – will be optimistic of defensive points against an attack with just three goals in their last six road trips.

Alexis Sanchez: The Arsenal attacker looks in line for a first league start since Gameweek 14 as Southampton roll up to the Emirates tonight. Sanchez provided an assist and the winning goal in the FA Cup encounter with Burnley and will be a pivotal figure in the Gunners’ push for the title.

Harry Kane: Tottenham’s top scorer arrives at Norwich on the back of successive strikes in the last couple of Gameweeks. Handed a late substitute appearance in the FA Cup win over Colchester, Kane should be fully refreshed to face a Canaries side that he’s also scored twice again this season.

THIS WEEKS GAME PICKS

As always the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the free-rolls – there is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the standard and flash formats.

There’s a Double-Up game for £3.30 entry with a guaranteed prize pool of £120 and also FantasyBet’s biggest game, the Grand Midweek, where your compete for a £1000 guaranteed prize pool on a £5.50 buy-in. Multiple entries are possible in both and they cover all ten fixtures for this midweek slate.

LAST WEEK

I head into this the midweek matches on the back of some success, after the team from last week’s article delivered a first-placed finish from 247 participants in the Free-roll.

I also earned returns from the double-up and the Scout Picks league, leaving me on £167.57. There was no such luck in the big pot, though – SuperJamesy took the top spot with 93 points, captaining Odion Ighalo for a 24-point haul proved a canny decision.

THIS WEEK’S STAKE

I will enter the Double-Up, the Grand contest, the free-rolls and the FFScout Picks League for the mid-week fixtures for a total outlay of £9.90.

In addition, I’ll be going up against Doosra, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22. Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.

FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE

SuperSaiyyan topped last week’s Scout’s Picks League – Roberto Firmino, Dele Alli, Sergio Aguero and Odion Ighalo all scored 12 points or more to provide a total of 98 points.

Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.

Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

Ok - here is my dilemma that has plagued me for 10 days and I've still not acted on. Please... please can you help me.

In short, I am massively exposed to kun (c) in my (tightly bunched) mini league

    Team is:

    Adrian (Jack)
    Dawson Rose Daniels (Moreno, Bertrand)
    Mahrez Ozil Payet Silva (KDB)
    Lukaku (c) Igahlo Kane

I have 1FT but just 0.1 in bank

I was planning to leave this week and do Lukaku/KDB for Aguero/Ali wednesday night - as I want Lukaku against Newcastle and don't want to bench the Ig. So... these are my options. Please help me choose one.

    1. Leave as is. Sunderland always beat City up there, what a chance to steal a march on your kun captain sheep rivals! Lukaku vs Newcaste, and it's NOT on TV. Which means Newcastle will fold like a pack of cards.
    2. For gods sake man wake up! Kun is going to go crazy up there! Bomb Lukaku and KDB now for a hit, bring Aguero and someone cheap to stick on your bench for the next few weeks.
    3. Just swap KDB for someone else now with your free transfer - forget about Kun - and bench the Ig - he'll never breach the Chelsea defence anyway (laughs)

Two things to consider. I can't afford KDB for Sanchez straight swap and I can't afford to take out Igalgo and KDB for Aguero and anyone (leaves me sub 4m to play with). If I take out anyone for Aguero, it HAS to be Lukaku.

    Thanks!!!!!

2 and if you wait any longer you will ose 0.1 on Lukaku and at least 0.1 on KDB and it seems you are tight on money already...
Form over fixtures everyday. Kun's form vs lukakus current form?...

then I'd have to bench Igahalo. You don't just bench Igahalo...

oddly the KDB injury has done me a favour with the bench situation. even selling tonight I'll be making 0.1 on what I got him in for, so not too borthered

          it's just the kun factor...

Just bring him in or you end up regretting like I did last week . Unfortunately everyone captaining him now so the game got a bit less competetive and no one has to think mo more. Means that those who dare take a risk are more exposed to a red arrow if he does score well. Don't risk it for lukaku imo

          Could be double disappointment.

I'm hoping the Saints defence remains solid enough and I'll look to bring him in next week probably.

Although if I'm doing that I'm half tempted to just do it this week for Ozil...

I went with last week's favourite, Firmino. It also allowed me to get in Kane, who was making me nervous, probably more so than Sanchez.

Sanchez hatty. All assisted by Ozil. With a Bellerin clean sheet.
      Lukaku hatty.
0-0 in Man Utd vs Stoke.
4-4 goal fest. With firmino brace. And Mahrez/Vardy blank.
      Daniels and ward goal.

      Pick 1 to play:

      A) Van Aanholt - Currently the one I have starting. City will score, but I think Sunderland will too. He's been knocking them in lately

      B) Arnautovic - Not sure if he's passed fit, but Stoke have gone downhill a little over the last while and United are okay defensively

      C) Huth - Leicester have tightened up a bit at the back, but Liverpool are just so unpredictable

What do we think of this plan?

      GW24: Myhill to Hennessey
      GW25: Smalling+Mahrez to Wollscheid+Sanchez
      GW26: No clue
      GW27: Lukaku to Vardy

Gives me the Ozil+Sanchez double up but no Mahrez. With Huth and Schmeichel though that allows me to bring in Vardy in GW27.

Once Mahrez goes though it'll be painful to have to bring him back if needed.

Looks a sound plan Andy but plans are hard to follow in this game. I had one over Christmas and I had to change it straight away.

Yeah - it'll probably be a different plan come Thursday 😆

Nice, but who's your other keeper? Hennessey could well have a blank in GW30.

Also, I'd be wary of selling Mahrez with his fixtures from gw27 onwards.

Schmeichel so should be good. Hennessey mainly needed to cover next 3

Selling Mahrez lets me get Vardy. It's really a choice of which one of those attackers will be best

Fair enough. Not happy that my keepers play each other in GW30. ...

Is it worth replacing moreno for

      A. Ivanovic
      B. Cresswell
      C. Bellerin

Or keep as is? Other defenders are Toby, Evans, Simpson, Daniels

Depends on how many non players you'll have in gw27
