Yannick Bolasie is in line to start for Palace at the Hawthorns. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is ruled out of Arsenal’s clash with United, Louis van Gaal plays down the seriousness of Anthony Martial’s hamstring problem, whilst Ryan Shawcross remains sidelined for Stoke’s battle with Villa at the Britannia. Here’s what we have so far ahead of the weekend’s eight matches.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been ruled out for a number of weeks with a knee injury sustained in Arsenal’s midweek Champions League clash with Barcelona. Arsene Wenger has also confirmed that Gabriel will undergo a late fitness test ahead of Sunday’s trip to United.

Tony Pulis is optimistic on Craig Dawson and Gareth McAuley’s chances of making West Brom’s home match with Palace after both trained all week. Pulis is also hopeful on Jonny Evans’s fitness, just four days after ruling the former United man out for “a while”.

With Harry Kane missing out due to a broken nose, Nacer Chadli led the line for Tottenham’s win over Fiorentina last night as Mauricio Pochettino’s men progressed to the last 16 of the Europa League. Dele Alli retained his advanced central role behind the lone striker despite the absence of Mousa Dembele – Ryan Mason partnered Eric Dier in the double-pivot instead and grabbed the opener courtesy of an Alli assist. The latter’s second-half caution means he misses the first league of the next round of the competition. Reports in the local press earlier today indicate that Kane is set to return to training today ahead of Sunday’s encounter with Swansea.

Swansea, meanwhile, have a fully fit squad for the trip to White Hart Lane, Alan Curtis has confirmed.

Stoke skipper Ryan Shawcross has conceded he is “not quite ready” to return at home to Villa this weekend as he steps up his recovery from an ongoing back injury.

Alan Pardew reckons that fit-again Yannick Bolasie is ready to start for Palace this weekend after being utilised as a sub in the FA Cup win at Spurs last time out. Bakary Sako “is close” to a return to action, though the Eagles boss is still undecided over the winger’s weekend availability. Jason Puncheon is out for two more weeks, though.

Rudy Gestede has been passed fit for Villa’s trip to Stoke after recovering from a hamstring problem. Fellow forward Gabby Agbonlahor is also available after being forced off with dizziness last time out. Jack Grealish, Carlos Sanchez, Libor Kozak and Adama Traore are still sidelined, whilst Jordan Ayew serves the last of a three-match ban.

Andy Carroll and Winston Reid are back in training ahead of West Ham’s clash with Sunderland, though the latter is still a doubt for tomorrow. Enner Valencia will be assessed, though the Hammers have Cheick Kouyate available after the FA overturned his one-match ban in midweek.

Jose Manuel Jurado is likely to miss Watford’s clash with Bournemouth as he continues to recover from a calf complaint. Joel Ekstrand is back in training as he steps up his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Southampton have no new injury concerns ahead of their home clash with Chelsea, Ronald Koeman has confirmed. Florin Gardos and Jay Rodriguez are back in training from long-term injuries, though neither are available yet, with the Saints boss admitting that the latter will be handed some minutes with the reserves over the next couple of weeks before being considered for selection.

Daniel Amartey is in contention to make his Leicester debut, according to Claudio Ranieri. With Danny Simpson serving a one-match suspension, the Foxes boss revealed that he’s considering Amartey, Marcin Wasilewski and even Marc Albrighton for the right-back berth at home to Norwich. Jeffrey Schlupp has returned to full training after finally overcoming a hamstring problem.

Billy Jones, Younes Kaboul, Jan Kirchhoff and Seb Larsson are all available for Sunderland’s trip to West Ham tomorrow lunchtime. Jeremain Lens remains sidelined with a hernia problem but has a chance of returning next weekend, though Duncan Watmore faces weeks out due to ankle ligament damage.

Anthony Martial was withdrawn from the United starting line-up last night after picking up a hamstring problem during the warm-up. Post-match, Louis van Gaal played down the Frenchman’s complaint, though it remains to be seen if he’ll be ready for Sunday’s home encounter with Arsenal.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

Who will be GWK 27's best differential and why?

For me the man in the picture above is the key one. Think Bolasie will do well this gwk. Matt Ritchie is my other selection - his goal is imminent. http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/public-stats-tables/view/6070/

Return of Bolasie vs. WBA could mean Palace begin a resurgence. They're really streaky, according to common thought on Pardinho's teams, so I could see them beginning to take off again.

Obviously, Yannick is not really FPL material, but he could engender better performances for the entire team - good if you have any coverage (e.g. I have goalscoring Dann!)

Are you driving the Khazri bandwagon? 🙂

I remember you did well with your Firmino punt that week he exploded, so if you have a strong gut feeling I'd trust it and go for it hehe

... But if you can play an XI without a transfer I'd save (unless you have an FT to waste - if you do, surely there's other matters more pressing...?)

Yeah he's got shades of Payet about him doesn't he? Easily SUN's best player, skill wise.

DK whether I'd take a hit to remove a player who will definitely play, and in an OK (Ozil) / outstanding (Arnie) fixture.

    B) Firmino + Moreno > Arnie + Huth
    C) 1 of the above transfers and save a FT

B looks good. Iggy could score well this weekend, so would be a shame to get rid of him ahead of a decent fixture. Although I hope he doesn't 😉

Thanks, rest of midfield is Ozil Mahrez Alli Antonio. Can't afford Payet so thought bringing in Arnie might beef it up a bit. Feel like I need Leicester defence as well though.

Oh yeah, you'll be fine with that midfield for now to be honest - Stoke are a bit of a mixed bag, I decided against Arnie because they might be a bit flat from here on out. They're safe and have nothing to play for, though AVL are obviously dogsh! Obviously, it could equally be a rout - depends whether you think keeping hold of a LIV asset in Firmino is worthwhile given their upcoming fixtures and guaranteed DGWs (if you have a WC left, I'd be tempted by Arnie a bit)

I agree with you on the latter and have prioritised the Lei defence, so I've done Fuchs in.

Hello all - do you think she's looking alright?:

    Butland
    Fuchs CBJ Daniels Dann
    Mahrez Eriksen Payet Sanchez
    Vardy (C) Kane (VC)

    Fodder / Fodder Aguero Fodder

    (-4 to play an XI)

    3.1 itb for later endeavours

Pretty standard lineup but hopefully a good chance of a 70 pointer... 🙂

No idea - Scouts have him playing, and tbh I'd take a 1pter from him this week (if Rojo starts I'd hope CBJ would come on in the 60th min or so). I had a bit of an injury crisis so I had to take the hit, but I would never normally do so (am chasing in ML)

I got Eriksen in last gameweek and he got me a green arrow.

I got Sanchez in 2 gameweeks ago for Bournemouth and he got me a red arrow.

            It's a tough one.

            Butland
            Bellerin Ivanovic Rose
Ozil Payet (c) Mahrez Alli Sanchez
            Kane (vc) Ighalo

Forster Francis Simpson* Aguero* 2FT 0.2 itb

Looking to get Vardy in for Ighako, but need monies. So could do:

            - Bellerin -> Targett
            -Ivanivic -> Targett
            - Sanchez -> Eriksen AND Rose -> VVD (-4)

Oh I see - yeah you have limited flex don't you!

Not sure I'd want to remove Bellers nor Ivan given their upcoming fixtures.

What about Sanchez down to Eriksen then Iggy to Vardy? Can you afford that?

I'm not convinced by Sanchez atm either! But I'm already tripled-up on spurs (Toby/Alli/Kane) AND tripled-up on ARS and LEI too - Sanchez is the week link atm so Sanchez > Siggy becomes pretty sensible for my team I think.

I actually already have Vardy, here's my team:

                        Butland / Myhill
                        Bellerin / Toby / Cresswell / Wolly / Simpson
                        Ozil / Sanchez / Mahrez / Payet / Alli
                        Kane / Vardy / Aguero

                        0FT, 0ITB.

After this weeks change to get Vardy in, I don't have much flexibility. Sanchez has done nothing (though his stats look good) and I'm always troubled by having such a lack of team diversity in a team. Next week will be Cresswell > Van Dijk, and then after that, depending on how things pan out, Sanchez could be next.

Midfield and attack is perfect imo. Like you say keep an eye on Sanchez, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to get rid if I didn't need the funds 🙂

Now that's the problem right there, I have three Purs already- otherwise problem solved. Really am boxed in with the moves this week!

Bellerin and Ivan do both blank gw30 though...

Alternatively could go Rose and Sanchez -> VVD and Eriksen for free. Then get Vardy next week for free!?

Yeah you're pretty boxed. You need the cash, too.

The only thing that'd put me off removing either Ivan or Bellers is the midweek fixtures both have:
                  Chelsea have nor away
                  Arsenal home to Swansea.

I'd say Vardy is looking pretty "essential" this week, though.

Is there anyone you can replace Mr. Rose with and make enough cash to finance Vardy?

That's a good point, there is good reason to keep both those defenders. Usually I wouldn't consider getting rid bit I'm strong desperate :p

Nope, Rose leaves me short be about 0.6 haha. Another route blocked off pretty much!!

Honestly I don't think I've ever had such a quandry as this haha.

Do you think I can get away with it this week with this team (no bench):

    Butland
    Walker - Huth - Williams
    Walcott - Mahrez - Arnie - Alli - Payet
    Vardy - Kane

    Hennessey - CBJ - Moreno - Aguero

Anything else now would be for a hit.
