Launching the leanest Gameweek of the season so far, Norwich City welcome Manchester City to Carrow Road. The Canaries are in the midst of a dreadful run – having tasted defeat in eight of their previous nine match-ups – while the Sky Blues arrested their losing streak with a 4-0 rout of Aston Villa last time out.

Only Watford have notched fewer goals (two compared to three) over the last six Gameweeks than Alex Neil’s strugglers. Furthermore, Norwich chart joint-second-bottom for shots on target (nine) since Gameweek 26. On the defensive end, the Canaries arguably did well to concede just six goals across the last four Gameweeks, given that they were pitted against West Ham United, Leicester City and Chelsea. It’s also worth noting that they placed joint-third-bottom for big chances surrendered (four).

Man City’s attack has flattered to deceive on the road this term, mustering just two more goals than Aston Villa. Remarkably, only four sides have recorded fewer big chances than Manuel Pellegrini’s troops in away matches (15) – providing prospective Sergio Aguero captainers with food for thought. On the flip side, the Sky Blues place top for clean sheets (seven) and bottom for shots inside the box conceded (72) away from home soil.

1 match down 1 player played up to -2 points. At least Aguero fail means no disaster this week on the captaincy. Maybe I can get to 0 points during the 3pm matches?

Same. Those last minute moves are usually not succesful. Kane (c) would have been a great differential in my ML and overall

Similar, I bought in Kompany this week (wasn't considering benching him though) and changed captain from Kun to Kane last minute. Hopefully Kane can get a nice haul now

      I love this.

I considered doubling on the City defence but I had 11 players and free transfers mean a lot right now. I'm thinking of doubling up in defence for the double GWs rather than rely on those dogmuck middies.

City's away form has been horrendous all season, this isn't captain hindsight either check my post history. Unlucky though, could still get away with it if Kane and Vardy blank

Villa conceded 15 in last 4...Norwich 6 in last 4

City don't travel well...Spurs let you down at home and play better away

Kane didn't play 90 mins Thurs night.... Kun totally rested

So many permutations it could have gone either way.

I do think Kane(c) made slightly more sense if not because of the greater chance of a full 90 mins over Kun.

So much for planning ahead for this gameweek. All my rivals have 2/3 less players but have captained Kane. I wont be surpised if they somehow beat me this gameweek with 8 starting players

City performance on the road is really bad, with or without Aguero.

City were so poor today, there was no hunger in that team. They are in real danger of missing out on the top 4
