We’ve been left hanging for weeks but finally, on 3pm on Tuesday, we were handed the Double Gameweek details and could begin our planning in earnest.

This week’s ScoutCast is dominated by double Gameweek chatter, as your community queries hone in on the variables, strategies and planning involved in exploiting the fixture pile-up to the full.

I’m joined by Jonty, Andy and Luke as we attempt to make sense of it all, turning to a virtual flipchart to digest and communicate some of the options on offer.

It’s hardcore stuff that takes into extra time in an exhaustive 80-minute episode.

This was first aired live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday evening, Be sure to subscribe in order to get wind of future broadcasts.

You can view that live version via the larger player below, or indulge on the directors cut audio stream via this link or the smaller player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Quick advice before I head to bed please. Which 2 defenders and which attacker should I bench

    Schmeichel

    Otamendi, Kos, VVD

    Payet, Siggy, Mahrez, Alli

    Kun, Kane (c), Paloschi

    Henessey, Eriksen, Smalling, Simpson

      Smalling Otamendi Paloschi

I would play Simpson ahead of Kos, even if it would mean a double up on LEI. Bench Smalling and Kos imo. Then I would play Eriksen because he got rested and usually scores at home, in contrast to Alli ho played 65 minutes tonight and don't score well at home.

Alli and palo (not sure about him vs Villa so it's his best chance)

    Pick one to play:

    A) Sanchez

    B) Alli

    Who to captain:

    1) Gylfi

    2) Kane ?

    Cheers!

A/B is hard so I'm purely putting it down to Spurs going for the title.

If United lose to City and then West Ham in the FA Cup replay, do we think he'll be sacked and Giggs become interim?

Really pushing his luck now. Almost McClaren-esque from United recently with the results

Anyone else think getting a solid 15 proper nailed on quality players is far easier in 37 than 34?

I find i can get the key attackers and defenders in a dgw in 37 for each team
But to do it 34 i have to get some lesser types who might rotate or arent great.

Getting an 11 solid players with dgw in 34 is far easier.

Or Aguero eating up the entire budget for a good bench boost.
Plus i think triple captain picks in 34 are better.
        Ozil Aguero in particular

But if your players don't play both games its defeating the object. Rest will occur more in GW37 IMO. Possible Triple GW37 for Lukaku TC as well

Try affording players who wont rotate in 34, 15 good ones i mean
You end up on sagna or monreal or sterling etc. All who will rotate.
Soon as you get aguero ozil bellerin lukaku payet etc. You have to take in cheap ones elsewhere like west brom players

              Not necessarily, first draft:
              Hart, Migs
              Bellers, Moreno/Sakho, Reid, Janmaat, Monreal
              Toure, Ozil, Countinho, Antonio, Lingard
              Kun, Luka, Martial
Looks pretty decent with 9 GW35 players and 2 FT.
Then 3 FT to get 11DGW in GW37

      Kane

Villa defensive stats are good recently, so could be tight

Bournemouth don't do defending in away games, they go out and play which could leave them open. Coupled with Kane's shooting stats from recently, he has to be the standout choice imo.

I expect them to score if Swansea get complacent, yet here I am playing Williams and benching Alderweireld (most likely)

          Though I do expect a 0-0 more than I would expect a 1-1

I think Swansea will find it harder to score than they will find it to concede, so take whatever you want from that because I'm quite befuzzled from the whole situation 😕

The comparison tool (when compared to Swansea over the last 4 games) have suggested they are conceding less big chances and shots recently, though yes you are right they don't look great. but they have been facing tougher opponents lately.

The same was said about Norwich last week, the stats were all there to suggest they would get a result soon and they did just that in their 0-0 against City

    Any feedback on this:

Planning to wc in gw 32 instead of 33

    Hart Elliot
    Bellerin Cresswell Clyne Azpi Dawson
    Ozil Sanchez Payet Firmino Mahrez
    Aguero Rondon Sakho

*If I bench boost in gw 34 (Azpi --> Smalling), I have 14 dgw + Mahrez
*For gw 35 I can field a 3-4-2 with Payet on the bench but 2 FT left

Depends if you need a player with a DGW in 34

I'll be hitting WC in 33 so nope.

I'd need to take a hit mind, only have 2 defenders liable to start (depending what happens with Moreno)

He is leading the captaincy poll this week, but if you aren't wildcarding in GW33, maybe it isn't worth it.

you've missed the boat, but theres plenty more upside

kane has bournemouth at home, you'd fancy him to get 1 or 2, top of captain poll too

if you still have your WC then go for it

Is Paloschi 100% nailed for the weekend?

Ayew ruled out so we reckon so

Who else is there? Is Gomis fit?

    Who would you bench:

    Ozil, Firmino, Mahrez, Alli, Siggy
    Vardy, Aguero, Kane

      Prob Firmino to be honest

Expect Southampton to keep it tight, and Liverpool could be tired

firmino for the same reasons as Bowstring

Thanks, maybe the sensible option. Though I am tempted to play him because he is still a kind of a differential comparing to the likes of Ozil, Alli or Vardy.
