We’ve been left hanging for weeks but finally, on 3pm on Tuesday, we were handed the Double Gameweek details and could begin our planning in earnest.

This week’s ScoutCast is dominated by double Gameweek chatter, as your community queries hone in on the variables, strategies and planning involved in exploiting the fixture pile-up to the full.

I’m joined by Jonty, Andy and Luke as we attempt to make sense of it all, turning to a virtual flipchart to digest and communicate some of the options on offer.

It’s hardcore stuff that takes into extra time in an exhaustive 80-minute episode.

This was first aired live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday evening, Be sure to subscribe in order to get wind of future broadcasts.

You can view that live version via the larger player below, or indulge on the directors cut audio stream via this link or the smaller player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Don't get where the clamour of including 3 teams from England, and 4 from Italy in the CL came from...

England still have Liverpool and City left - Italy have ZERO teams in both the European competitions left this year!

Are u arguing that England's elite are better than Italy's elite? Because they most definitely are not. BPL, although my fav league to watch, has regressed so much in terms of talent over the years.

What does the individual talent have to do with it? I'm talking about teams. Fwiw I think England has some top top individuals- aguero, kompany, sanchez, ozil and hazard being the best but teams as a whole have gotten worse in the past few seasons. This isn't really a debate

Noone is saying that. Close to impossible for England to lose the 4th next season.

But since it's a rolling 5 year kind of deal, Chelseas CL final gets dropped for the next calculations

    GW33 WC plans

    A) Mahrez
    B) second Liverpool mid for 2 DGW's (Milner, Heno or Can)

    A would mean fielding a maximum of 14 DGW'ers in GW34 and 10 DGW'ers in GW37, B 15 and 11 DGW'ers.

    Team (1):
    DDG, Elliot
    Bellerin, Ogbonna, McAuley, Sakho, Rojo
    Sanchez, Ozil, Firmino, Antonio, Mahrez
    Lukaku, Kun, Martial
    Team (2):
    Mignolet, Elliot
    Bellerin, Reid, Olsson, Sahko, Smalling
    Sanchez, Ozil, Firmino, Antonio, Mahrez
    Lukaku, Kun, Martial

Which team for GW 34 (WC 33)? Difference is keepers/ defence. Maximizing CS potentials is one thing, I want players who are certain to start both games.

Most on this site have got their WC. I don't but don't regret it. Extra money ITB and 80 points ahead in my mini league with only one threat who kept his WC. In other words I have been playing for the money rather than overall position.
I can have 9 DGw's in GW34 without taking a hit and Mahrez and Alders playing a single GW. I don't think i would want much different if I had it.
Bigger problems arise in GW37 where I will have 6 DGW's already in GW35.
I hope my opposition uses his WC in GW33 as he has 2 DGW's atm for GW34.
Anybody else finding themselves in the same situation?

      1. Eze Really?
        • 11 Years

50/50 and his money is sparse. He may have 14 DGW's at say 4 pts a player = 24 and then he is the same as me. Maybe 50 pts Not 80 surely? I have more big hitters also where he will have to pread wealth for his bench boost. We will see. I will remember the post though and admit to you my folly if you are right.

Ha I was only kidding, no one knows what's going to happen in the DGW. I mean it was only a week ago many on here were smuggly saying they had prepared well for the blanks and that they were well set to displace the casuals, well many were left disappointed with meagre returns.

          1. Eze Really?
            • 11 Years
            9 years, 11 months ago

I know it is tongue in cheek. For him to have maximum players for the DGW means he will sacrifice some DGW's in 37 and cost him money. I really think Mahrez Kane Alders etc can score as much as DGW's anyway. But Cheers for the humour.

      Who has BB?

Like you say if you have 9 DGW players for GW34 and if you both don't have BB he can only field 2 more, so he would do better to do it in GW36 imo.

Different story if anyone has BB

      1. Eze Really?
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 11 months ago

He does and that is my worry. looking at averages considering rotation and injury I think he can move around 24pts on me with the BB. But who knows.

        1. Kun Tozser
          • 10 Years
          9 years, 11 months ago

You could get 24pts just a double united defence in 34 looking at the fixtures

There would be some benefit of playing your 9DGW in 34, taking your BB to 37 if your opponent has played theirs - you would know their team, the point different and be able to mix it up completely.

2 FT (0.7 ITB) WC available

    Williams / Fuchs / Daniels / (Kompany*) / (Targett)

Many were taking about full backs being rotated due to Flannigan being back, does this not affect Clyne then?

Lvg needs to go ,the problem is I am not even sure if there is a manager I would like at OT 🙁

Giggs should be given his chance

There aren't many managers who would want to go either

You would prefer Giggs rather than Mourinho/Ancelotti/Simeone ?
