    Palace are going down
Benitez gets something out of Nor (a) , Sot (a) , Swan (h) & Allerdyce does the same against Wba (h), Leic (h) , Nor (a) then things become very interesting for Englands next manager (touted 4 months ago ; )
    C Palace have Wham (a) , Nor (h), Ars (a), ManU (a), blank.
Rafa & certainly BFS much more likely to get results at this point in the season than Pardew

Think I'll stick a few quid on Crystal Palace going down.

        You know, I don't know. 🙂
I was thinking it's going to be a helluva scrap in the relegation zone then thought a couple of good results for those 2 or even Norwich who might still get pulled into the fight. Palace can't buy a result. Watford & Swansea are perceived as safe but I reckon both need to squeeze another 3 or 4 points in before the season end.
These tings happen almost every season yet we get surprise every season when it does.. 🙂

Oops, I should have put in a disclaimer with an apology to all Palace fans. Palace have been great at times this season but this is just an observation.

No disclaimer needed, I said it a few weeks ago on here and was laughed at.
I've been a palace fan all my life so watched us get relegated from the premier League's first season onwards.
My only issue is that we've been playing well, just no one to finish our chances

When did the habit of team-mates embracing each other in the minutes before kick-off start? They've trained together all week, travelled together, changed together and warmed up together just minutes ago. Yet in the seconds before kick-off, they wander around greeting one another as if they hadn't seen one another for months. It just looks ridiculous.

i have read some research on nba embracing habits and it said that the more you high five n pat your mates on the back the better then play

      interesting

I can understand there may be a positive effect during the game itself, but not just before kick off. It smacks of fake camaraderie to appease the fans.

I've played for nearly 30 years and still playing to a good standard in over 40's football and never felt the need for, or even seen anyone high five a team mate before the game. It's all false bravado for the fans

It does look ridiculous and a high five is no football tradition. Just talking to each other and working hard as a team is far more effective and much more respectable

Anyone else thinking more and more about shifting their WC to GW36?

Just feel I'm losing too many form players and holding back more than I'd like to because of the blanks after.

Going all out for 37 only leaves one GW and no blanks after to go at it full on.

But expected. I suspect that sponsors and the FA lean on Hodgson pretty heavily to select "big" players from the bigger clubs. Which major sponsor wants Noble as their poster boy? England squads are selected more on reputation and profile than on merit.

I don't think it has to do with sponsors but England have tried to make a 11 out of the best players rather than play players in their proper position in the past . Scholes at left mid comes to mind

Contemplating WC GW32 before all hell breaks loose in GW33.

Any tinkering or anything you don't like?

    Adrian Elliot
    Bellerin Rojo Sanga Dawson Janmaat
    Sanchez Payet Firmino Silva Lingraad
    Kun Lukaku Rondon

Might bring in Fabregas for GW32/33 and drop him for GW34.

If you're competing with ML rivals, who you feel are unaware of the impending DGW carnage that we're about to unlease, I'd suggest waiting rather than telegraphing your plans too early.

      To answer your question...

I'm not the biggest fan if Lingaard, but I assume he's an enabler. Otherwise, nice

I actually have 2FT and considering that they would be wasted I might be able to just use those and WC33?

I would probably do that if you have 2FT. Sure you could do plenty with those.

Even if you are off the pace now, if those above you twig why you've used your wildcard they could copy you the following week and block the benefit that you're hoping to get.

Personally I'm not to keen on this team

Needs more Liverpool. Then you have 3 players in Sagna, Rojo & Lingard are unlikely to start both games (so may as well have kept a decent SGWer). Not overly keen on Rondon either and Newcastle double DF would worry me.

Adrian, Bellerin, Dawson, Janmaat, Sanchez, Payet, Firm, Silva, Kun & Lukaku are solid pics though

Mignolet is nailed on in my team. And Milner will probably be the other one as he's on penalties.

But a Coutinho and Firminho combo in MF could also be very profitable considering Pool have no blanks and two DGW's to look forward to

I've lived in 5 countries over 2 continents , including England where I was born.

In England I've lived in the north, midland, South and South West.

For England I'd say the north is better, midlands worst (no offence meant).

For countries all have good and bad points. Having witnessed whole families living on the street and it being norm. Children asking for pencils for school when I offered to buy Christmas presents amongst many others made me realise how lucky people are. My wife's family didn't have electricity or water before I came into their lives, such simple things. Then again some things are not good about the uk, but overall, people should be more thankful for what they have and realise how much they have.

I'm not sure about this. A lot of our cities have been ruined by 1960's/70s redevelopment and have been robbed of their soul.

Wetherspoons, bookies and charity shops dominate many high streets, and most of the population cannot afford to own a reasonable standard of housing.

The deep inequalities we have allowed to manifest in the UK has let some areas become "amongst the best in the world", but most of them are off limits to 80% of society

      1. Dr Dream

Definitely. I grew up in one of the biggest sh*t holes in the country btw.

In about 1987 i escaped and went to live in a place called Chipping Sodbury to start with...and then various other similar places. Absolutely stunning places some of them, If you can manage to do it.

His value is unbelievable considering he spent a good part of the season on the bench before getting into the team ahead of De Laet.

If he was a defender from one of the bigger sides he'd be at least 4.5 by now I reckon.

Struggling to decide - what would you do with this team?

    A) WC in 33, BB in 34, TC in 37
    B) TC in 34, WC in 36, BB in 37

    ELLIOT, HENNESSEY
    BELLERIN, JEVANS, KOMPANY, Simpson, Wolly
    SANCHEZ, Mahrez, Eriksen, Arnie, Alli
    AGUERO, Vardy, Kane

    Bank 1.3m, 2FT

So 6 DGWers now (albeit 1 is Kompany) and 4FTs prior to the DGW, so could have 9-10 DGWers + Mahrez/Kane with Ozil(TC) in 34 for free. Seems decent enough. The 4 I'd bring in with 4ft would likely be from the below list:

    Ozil
    Payet
    Firmino
    Lukaku
    Martial
    MUN defender

Considering Hennessey is in those 9 DGWers too, I'd be looking to WC into GW33 personally

Nah, It'd be Elliot (SWA, MCY) with Henno on the bench

Suppose, if you're holding BB until GW37.

I'm not sold on the security of starts (and desire to win) that late in the season.

Yeah, I think a BB with only 9-10 DGWers feels pretty light.

WHU, LIV & MUN will likely still be competing for top 4 by GW36 so I expect them to go full strength. EVE and WAT would likely depend on whether they win their FA cup semi final.

It's this decision that is going to define our seasons

Was more to gauge a consensus on whether there was an obvious route of the two. If Kompany is back that would be a big help

B . don't count Kompany imo (Evans may be too)
probably welbeck instead of Martial and keep Alli
Alli / Mahrez / simpson / Kane / Vardy any of them are better than many DGW players (good fixtures/Form no blank+playing for the league)

Kompany has a chance right? Still 1 month until GW34 kicks off.

Welbeck means no Ozil though, which feels very risky. I'd probably TC him.

ouch .. I thought you have ozil not sanchez, Sanchez is good differential too but his price is the issue for me .

kompany might be fit , not sure about him as if he's fit ,don't think Pelle would play him 2 games in 3 days (they are still in CL) and two away games are not that good for them .. MUn/LIV defenders are better options imo
