The latest big news for FantasyBet participants is that a Grand Finale game has now gone live. There’s a £5,000 pot up for grabs in Gameweek 38, which means there will be several rounds of upcoming qualifiers to win tickets into that season finale. This week the qualifier costs £3.30 to enter and covers seven Saturday matches – with the early match between Villa and Chelsea excluded, line-ups can be entered up until 3pm.

Chelsea’s lunchtime visit to managerless Villa precedes six 3pm kick-offs. There will be heightened interest in Arsenal and West Ham ahead of home clashes with Watford and Palace respectively, whilst Norwich’s tie with Newcastle at Carrow Road looks vital to both sides’ chances of survival. Spurs travel to Anfield for the evening match on Saturday – the North London side could cut Leicester’s lead to two points if they can overcome the Reds.

At the King Power Stadium on Sunday, the Foxes face a tough test of against a Southampton side that remain in the mix for a European spot. Everton visit Old Trafford having lost three of their last four, and with only a win against Aston Villa over that run, the Toffees could struggle against a United side that have been defensively sound in front of their own fans.

If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar scoring and pricing system.

Check out this daily and weekly fantasy football guide to see how the game works.

MY TEAM

Adrian (5m)
Patrick Van Aanholt (4.5m)
Christian Fuchs (4.5m)
Hector Bellerin (5.5m)
Marko Arnautovic (6m)
Dimitri Payet (7.5m)
Cesc Fabregas (8m)
Alexis Sanchez (11m)
Jermaine Defoe (5m)
Danny Welbeck (7m)
Sergio Aguero (13m)

KEY PICKS

Adrian: West Ham have tightened up significantly at home over the course of the season – having managed just one clean sheet in the first seven at Upton Park, they’ve kept five in the subsequent seven. Adrian’s 15 saves over his last four appearances adds to his appeal for the visit of Crystal Palace.

Christian Fuchs: Leicester City’s attack may have slowed down but four 1-0 wins over the last five indicates that recently, it’s the defence that have been key to securing victories. Fuchs has picked up seven bonus points over that period and with set-duties in his locker, a fourth assist of the season could be on the cards against the Saints.

Dimitri Payet: The Frenchman recently suffered a four-match run of blanks but has since returned to the level of consistency he was displaying earlier in the season prior to injury. With two goals and four assists in five, Payet looks an irresistible option at home to Palace’s poor defence.

Danny Welbeck: The Arsenal forward has hit the ground running after missing the majority of the season through injury. While Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott have failed to convince of late, Welbeck’s three goals and an assist over five appearances bodes well for the run-in.

THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS

As always, the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the freerolls. There is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the standard and Flash mode.

The Grand Weekend contest only misses the match at Villa Park, so line-ups can be entered right up until the 3pm kick-offs. It’s £11 to enter for a chance to win part of the £1000 guaranteed prize money.

There is also a Weekend Flash game. This format gives participants a unique list of players to select from and a three-minute window to pick your line-up – it’s a £5.50 stake for entry into a £200 guaranteed pot.

LAST WEEK

I had some mixed results last time out. A second-place finish in the double-up with 90 points gave some helpful returns but left me wishing I’d entered that line-up into the Triple Grand pot. The Scout Picks also helped retrieve some of my entry fee for the big pot – a fourth place spot provided just over £8 of winnings.

Congratulations to Jarlblidensol who won almost £770 in the Triple Grand contest with a massive score of 105 points – Harry Kane’s 32-point haul as captain was the biggest contributor, whilst picking Graziano Pelle as a differential also paid off, as the Italian delivered 15 points to help secure the biggest win of the season so far.

THIS WEEK’S STAKE

As well as the Grand Finale I’m also interested in the freerolls, the Double-Up game, the Grand Finale Qualifier and entering a team into the FFScout Picks League for a total outlay of £4.95.

In addition, I’ll be taking on Van Dear Vaart, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be going up against me in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22.

Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.

FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE

Coach topped the Scout Picks League with a score of 95 points. Captain Harry Kane was the biggest source of points, while a full house of clean sheets from Leicester, Spurs and Swansea assets in defence also helped secure the win.

Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League, with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.

Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

Narrowed my final pre-WC punt down to the following:

    A) Williams - > PVA
    B) Siggy -> Fabregas/Willian/Iwobi (Would bench Alli)
    C) Vardy -> Welbeck

    Rest of the team is:

    Adrian
    Ivan Simpson Williams
    Mahrez Ozil Alli Payet
    Vardy Kane Aguero (C)

    McCarthy Siggy Toby Smith

    Which one do you reckon?

    repost from previous page:
I do my wc team over and over again and the hardest part for me is to find 3rd striker along Lukaku and Kun. I just want to ask who is your 3rd striker choice?

Kane: Eventhough he is reliable, he is too expansive for me without any dgw.

vardy: As most of us will keep mahrez, and maybe simpson, isn't it too much to keep him?

welbeck / giroud: too risky choice, considering most of us will use 3 arsenal spots for bellerin, gabriel, ozil and/or sanchez

martial / ighalo: as most of us wants a manu defender, payet and lingaard as 5th chep mid, do they justify to be a candidate a 35 gw blanker?

liverpool fw: is there any reliable one?

mitrovic: just one good sunderland game is enough to pick him? potential bandwagon if he scores against norwich

wickham: do 2 good gw before injury mislead us? Does he merit a place with his team horrendous form?

    so who you will pick?

I think Kane is worth it, the form he is in he could well outscore several DGW forwards

I'm on wc too. Got rid of Kane to free up funds. Currently on Mitrovic but am keeping options to change him to Sturridge/Welbeck/Martial/Rashford/Deeney etc on GW34 if Mitrovic looks rubbish for the next two weeks.

On that basis - go for a cheap punt and keep money and transfer to change them on gw34 if you don't want to keep them.

Thinking of doing the same and teams not dissimilar (see a few posts above yours). Based on form it would be Siggy or Ozil. As you don't have ARS cover then perhaps Ozil.

Depends on the situation. Ozil is the safe option due to season-long form. Sanchez is explosive so might make a handsome return. I have Ozil and I'm happy with that.

Louis van Gaal says Wayne Rooney is "doing great", adding that the skipper will probably play for the U21s before returning. #mufc

Double United defense it is, then.

I was thinking about him today. It's between him and Mitrovic for 3rd spot in my attack.

Differential, on penalties, often scores against Villa.

Hard to argue with it. If you like West Ham more than Liverpool in 34 then you are all set.

Love it - looks similar to Ryan's 'no hit' DGW uber-aggressive strategy!

Why Janmaat over Dann? Defense over attack?

            1. Jay_
                9 years, 11 months ago

Thanks, still to decide wether to play Sakho/Dann/Janmaat. Hard to play Dann as I'm West Ham and have 2 mids. Sakho makes most sense as I have no Spurs attack and avoids double New defence

                Ryan's was this:

                The perfect storm
                GW32 WC

                Robles Elliot
                Bellerin Gabriel Dann Sakho Janmaat
                Sanchez Firmino Payet Barkley Bolasie
                Aguero Lukaku Wickham

                GW33: 6DGWers - Save FT
                GW34: 15DGWers - Bolasie -> Coutinho
                GW35: 11 starters - Dann -> Azpi, Wickham -> Defoe
                GW36: 2FT's for remaining DGWers
                GW37: 11DGWers

According to bookies Liverpool has better chance of CS than Spurs but Toby still looks better to play than Sakho, right ?
