There’s no double Gameweek on offer in FantasyBet this week, with the midweek match between Palace and Everton excluded from the round of fixtures. Instead the action kicks off at Upton Park, where Arsenal visit the Hammers looking for a third straight win, and ends on Sunday, when Manchester United visit Tottenham.

In between, Crystal Palace go head-to-head with Norwich in a proverbial six-pointer at Selhurst Park, whilst Newcastle travel to St Mary’s looking for a first win under Rafa Benitez. Meanwhile, at Vicarage Road, Everton will hope to arrest their recent poor form against a Watford outfit that have already lost their last four.

Manchester City are the league’s last participants in the Champions League and are fortunate to be facing West Brom at the Etihad. On Sunday, Leicester City make a trip to the Stadium of Light, where Sunderland have drawn four successive matches, whilst Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will have decisions to make at home to Stoke, with one eye perhaps on the Europa League second-leg clash with Borussia Dortmund. Finally, Manchester United travel to Tottenham in a match that could have a significant influence on both sides’ final positions.

If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar pricing and scoring system.

Check out this daily and weekly fantasy football guide to see how the game works.

MY TEAM

Thibaut Courtois (5m)
Charlie Daniels (4.5m)
Scott Dann (5m)
Nicolas Otamendi (6.5m)
Manuel Lanzini (5m)
Yannick Bolasie (6m)
Kevin De Bruyne (10.5m)
Alexis Sanchez (11m)
Graziano Pelle (8m)
Romelu Lukaku (9m)
Sergio Aguero (13m)

KEY PICKS

Thibaut Courtois: A 4-0 win at Villa took Chelsea’s unbeaten run to 15 matches under interim boss Guus Hiddink. The Blues have impressed on the road in particular, conceding only two goals in seven away ties, and their number one offers a safe and comparatively inexpensive route into the Dutchman’s defence for Saturday’s trip to Swansea.

Scott Dann: Although Crystal Palace have failed to record a clean sheet in 12 league outings, the visit of a Norwich side that have netted in only three of their last ten away trips means Alan Pardew’s backline have a reasonable chance of keeping the Canaries out. Dann also offers a serious threat from set-pieces, having scored five already this campaign.

Kevin De Bruyne: The Belgian has made an immediate impact on his return to action, scoring in both Man City’s matches over the last week. Remarkably, all nine of De Bruyne’s assists in the league this season have arrived at the Etihad, which bodes well for his prospects as Manuel Pellegrini’s troops welcome West Brom to the Etihad.

Graziano Pelle: With the threat of relegation looming, Newcastle have to go for three points on their visit to St Mary’s, which should leave plenty of space for the Saints to exploit. Before blanking at the King Power, Pelle looked back in form, having served up three goals and two assists in the previous two outings against Liverpool and Stoke.

THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS

As always the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the freerolls. There is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the weekly standard fantasy game and the Flash mode.

The Grand Weekend contest only misses the match at Upton Park, so line-ups can be entered right up until the 3pm kick-offs. It’s £11 to enter for a chance to win part of the £1000 guaranteed prize money.

In the run-up to the Grand Finale in Gameweek 38, which has a £5,000 pot on offer, it’s possible to enter a qualifier this week for a £3.30 stake to win an entry ticket worth £33.

LAST WEEK

I finished in the top half of the Double-up entrants, which provided the majority of my winnings for the week. Frustratingly my 81 points in the Grand Weekend contest was a single point from the money places. Awd2 had a six-point lead at the summit with a total of 102 in the Grand Weekend – captaining Alexis Sanchez delivered 26 points, while picking West Ham midfield duo Dimitri Payet (nine points) and Manuel Lanzini (ten points) also paid off.

THIS WEEK’S STAKE

I’m entering The Grand Weekend, the freerolls, the Double-up contest and entering a team into the FFScout Picks League for a total outlay of £15.40.

In addition, I’ll be going up against Geordienufc1, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22.

Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.

FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE

Awd2 also topped the Scout Picks League with a score of 103 points. Alexis Sanchez was his captain once again, while Pedro’s 16 points from midfield illustrates how picking one or two differentials in your line-up can deliver rewards.

FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League, with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.

Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

Firmino instead of KDB and I could get the following team. Looks pretty strong to me.

    DDG - Darlow

    Smalling - Bellerin - Gabriel - Sakho - Delaney

    Sanchez - Coutinho - Firmino - Payet - Lennon

    Aguero - Martial - Lukaku

      Same dilemma.....
      But with firmino fitness....
      Sterling and silva injured...
Kdb behind aguero could be lethal......

What was your KDB contingency? I had:

      DDG - Smalling - Firmino > Robles - Coleman - KDB

I have made the decision to get Ross Barkley.

He has (wat, cry, SOT, liv) in the next 2 gameweeks. Those games scream goals. Everton are better away from home. Then he has another DGW in 37. He's moving back to no.10 with Barry back in the side. His stats are poor, but he's a troll, and trolls gonna troll. With a huge ownership of 33%, I'd rather have him in my side than not. The casuals won't beat me. Not today.

        Well my front 8 is

        Sanchez, KDB, Coutinho, Payet, Barkley
        Aguero, Martial, Lukaku

So I dont have that problem. I wouldnt drop either of the two you mentioned for him though

They're too expensive for tot, AST, CRY, blank imo. I would love one for the DGW, but at the end of the day even if Smalling gets two clean sheets, which aren't guaranteed, it's only 12 points for 6.5m defender that has a blank the week after

Think they could get a cleanie against either CPL or WAT though, maybe both is wishful thinking but I don't think the 33 fixtures are too bad.

34 is a different story, I am hoping for 4 points from Robles 😀

Think this is me, Too heavy in defence? i'm trying to play safe and take the guaranteed starters.

No GK GW33, but i can handle the loss of 2 points.
Will do Martial & Smalling > Kane & cheapo in GW33.

      DDG - Robles
      Smalling – Bellerin - Gabriel – Clyne - Simpson
      Sanchez – Payet – Mahrez – Coutinho - Lennon
      Martial – Lukaku - Kun

Enough in the bank for Mahrez > Firmino for GW34.

I would go A in a heartbeat but I fancy Martial outscoring Mitrovic given his fixtures in GW34

B purely on having a playing Gk in gw35. I'd much prefer having a united def in gw34 though.

Guys can someone tell me why Zaha only played 45mins last game? Was he just poor?
He Played 90 in pretty much all other games.
I want to punt with him instead of Bolasie. Not sure why I just keep getting drawn to it. He will become Lanzini afterwards.

Was taken off for Gayle. I'd steer clear now that Sako is back as he will get rotated a lot.

SSN panel reported that it was a tactical sub, but that Zaha was unlucky as he had played as well as any of the other attacking players

I played WC last week. This weeks team -

      Robles
      Morgan Daniels Dann (Sakho Rojo)
      Ozil Lennon Mahrez Sanchez (Payet)
      Kun Lukaku (C) Kane

I plan to save FT, then use 2 and a hit or two next week.

      GTG?

Anyone else nervous about any ManC defenders in their WC with the Kompany news?
Did have Mangala (Otta too £££! and full backs a lottery!) in but bit cautious now if Vinny will get games in the next few

      COUTINHO or FIRMINO ??

Robles is nailed in my team, but other keeper?
      A) Hennessey - 2xDGW but no GW35
      B) Darlow - cheaper and has GW35 but wouldnt feel comfortable playing him(ok bench except Gw35)
      C) Mignolet- more comfortable than playing Robles all the time, and has GW35, but cost more...

No to A) because of GW 35. No to C) because it'll give you one less player from Everton/Pool GW 37(one keeper will be on ur bench).. so B)

        Nope,
        - Mahrez haul, a brace at gameweek 1
        - Fuchs CS potential
        - Kane the most in form striker in EPL atm

      Argh!

Listened to the scoutcast after settling on my team and I've ripped it apart for this:-

      Robles . Darlow
      Clyne . Bellerin . Gabriel . Delaney . Smalling
Cout . Sanchez . Lanzini . Lingard . De Bruyne
      Lukaku . Sturridge . Aguero

      What are your thoughts?

      Too many risks?

I could easily pair it back a bit and play safer, but it should make for an interesting couple of weeks!
