Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Awful awful awful week. 57 points of my ML leader with me in second and slowly catching, my aim this week was just to keep it at more or less that so I could take some chunks out of that during the DGWs. I've ended up with 37 points with Robles and Kaku (c) still to play their second game but he has Kaku (not (c))and Barkley so a kaku brace will only help a little (if he even scores), ML leader has 63 points so the gap is around 80 points now. He's already played all his cards so this wc and bb was going to be my chance to close the gap.

Biggest upsets were Sakho and coutiniho not playing with Lanzini and Darmian to come off the bench, Darmian managing to get -1 despite not even starting and lots of questions about my squad for gw34. Will Gab play? Will Darmian play? Why did I do Darlow/Smalling/Moreno to Ming/Sakho/Darmian at the very last minute?

As part of my wc I did Toby/Alli/Dann/Vardy out for Sakho/Darmian/Coutinio/Martial...the difference in scores between those...

    Toby/Alli/Dann/Vardy - 41 points
    Sakho/Darmian/Coutiniho/Martial - 1 point (Darmian got -1)

I read a comment yesterday where someone said this has turned into one step backwards this week, so two steps forward next week means we're right back where we started.

For those of you stressing about your score this last week. Anyone who still has: Vardy, Ali, Alderwiereld is poorly prepared for the DGW and will either have to take hits now or for GW 35.

No one could have predicted a Vardy brace or Alderweirdeld score..

Don't knee jerk out of well thought out decisions because of a random week

      Nice comment.

It also may be a blessing that for next week at least, people are highly unlikely to shift out these players which could work out well.

We've all forgotten the beauty of Kane blanking...

    A) Sakho

    B) Gabriel

Is Sanchez in for a hit and TC (assume the other player involved is pretty rubbish) worth it? Alternative is no hit and TC Aguero or Ozil

"in the game we did not have many problems, but the problems weren't especially central defence, more on the flanks where we suffered" - said Wenger.

Does this mean Gabriel is safe?
Their next 2 games are against teams with really threatening players in the air like Caroll.

If anything it means Bellerin/Monreal might be rotated, but who would replace Bellerin, Chambers? No chance.

Yep.. I don't believe he rotates Bell and Monreal just yet as they still have plenty to play for.

Ok so I'm leaving Gabriel and just take care of Bolasie and Delaney

I'm debating the same though I have Delaney not Dann. The problem is the same. I rather stay with Bolasie course I can only spend 6,2 and there is no one better in that price. Maybe Alli but he doesn't play DGW

My original plan was C but I'm now leaning toward just A this week and using my BB in 37 - the thinking being that a have 5 Arsenal and City players and although they play each other they could be handier with the other DGW players I'lll have then Robles, Simpson, Apz, Bolasie (was going to be Coutinho) in GW34

Only if your so convinced that you will captain. Otherwise that's a lot of potential points given up.

Fwiw, he is class, but he's still a forward in the game playing oop on the wing.

Why are people saying this week was random?
Alli , Alderweireld and Sigi have been scoring quite often.

We knew 33 was likely to be dodgy but were forced into wildcarding due to the bench boost. Cant see there was much that was random about the outcome. Cant judge wildcards until after Gw 35, and we not even finished 33 yet

in truth it could have been a lot worse for some if Kane and Mahrez had scored - but you're right we knew all this & the big rewards should come next week

The non wc team scoring high wasn't a surprise, but the difference being so extreme I think is what people are referring to as "random".

I tend to agree. Also your DGW article that highlighted how risky Liverpool and City players were due to European competitions was also a good reminder.

My gameweek could have been different if KDB and Coutinho started. I also kept Mahrez over Vardy due to away form...

Not a common strategy here, but I think given this year again I'd want to WC in the DGW, save the TC for another one and perhaps even BB in an SGW. The bonus of getting your WC squad honed closer to the time - especially as you're then sorted for the season - could actually be undervalued. We've all seen posts about how much points chips are worth, but less so about the WCs themselves.

I'm not losing the plot too much at the moment, I WC'd and have 40 points...with Lennon, Lukaku (C), Robles and Dann still to play. All it would take would be for Everton to keep a clean sheet and for Lukaku to get a goal and i'd be up to 70 points, give or take some BP's. Not that bad!

However...if Lukaku doesnt do anything and it ends up 1-1 im going to go into meltdown! lol

Is it fair to say there are no defenders at 4.8 or below that babe a dgw34 and play35 that are worth bringing in for delaney?

Don't want to touch lpool cos of rotation

Watford and wba have bad fixtures...

Best option seems to be Reid who has 2 dgws but blanks in 35=......

Who would u choose to replace Delaney in following defence?

    Robles darlow
    Bellerin sakho Gabriel Simpson Delaney

Are there other people playing wildcard GW34? I used my benchboost a long time ago, so this looked better for me...

However, I dont see many wildcard ideas for GW34... people would like to help?

I now have the idea to go:

    Mignolet / Darlow
    Moreno / Simpson / Smalling / Dier / Bellerin
Payet / Sanchez / De Bruyne / Iwobi / Milner
    Aguero / Martial / Kane

0.0m in bank with this team

If people feel like to puzzle with me, I would appreciate it...

Selling all of my current team would give me 107.6m to spent.
