Romelu Lukaku is added to Everton’s list of doubts for the visit of Southampton. Salomon Rondon is passed fit for West Brom’s clash with Watford, Quique Sanchez Flores hints at rotation for the Hornets ahead of the FA Cup semi-finals, whilst Marko Arnautovic is expected to return in time for Stoke’s Monday night showdown with Spurs.

Romelu Lukaku, Ross Barkley, Aaron Lennon and Leighton Baines will be assessed ahead of Everton’s home clash with Southampton, Roberto Martinez has confirmed. Lukaku has been nursing a groin problem, which was aggravated against Palace in midweek, and will be monitored after he failed to train yesterday. The Toffees are without injured pair Tom Cleverley and Phil Jagielka, whilst James McCarthy is suspended. With one eye also on the upcoming FA Cup semi-final, Martinez has also hinted that “one or two youngsters” could be handed a chance against the Saints due to the injury situation.

Arsene Wenger has no new injury concerns ahead of the home encounter against Palace. The Gunners boss has revealed that Santi Cazorla and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could “maybe” be back next week, though neither has returned to full training yet. Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky continued their recoveries with run-outs for the reserves yesterday.

Villa’s Gabby Agbonlahor has been ruled out for the next two weeks. Caretaker manager Eric Black has confirmed that the forward will undergo a personal fitness programme to improve his match sharpness.

Steven Davis has recovered from an ankle problem in time for Southampton’s clash with Everton. Charlie Austin is sidelined with a minor knee injury, whilst Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Shane Long is fully fit after being forced off with dizziness last weekend.

Swansea have no injury worries ahead of their trip to Newcastle, with Leon Britton back in contention after recovering from a back complaint.

Big Sam has no injury problems to contend with for Sunderland’s vital trip to Norwich, with Duncan Watmore passed fit after a couple of months on the sidelines.

West Brom’s Salomon Rondon has recovered from the back injury that forced him off early against Man City last weekend. Alex Pritchard (hip) joins James Morrison on the sidelines as the Baggies welcome Watford to the Hawthorns.

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has confirmed his intentions to rotate the squad over double Gameweek 34, with one eye on the FA Cup semi-final encounter with Palace a week on Sunday.

Marko Arnautovic “should be okay” for Stoke’s clash with Spurs on Monday after missing out last week with a back problem. Erik Pieters serves the first of a two-match ban, whilst fellow left-back Marc Muniesa hasn’t trained since Monday and remains doubtful. Mark Hughes is optimistic on Glenn Whelan’s chances of recovery, though the midfielder has yet to fully train over the last few days.

Junior Stanislas could be in line to return for Bournemouth this weekend after stepping up his recovery from a hamstring injury. Benik Afobe, Harry Arter and Adam Smith remain on the sidelines.

Hey guys, just looking at my team. I've got 10 DGW players and 9 confirmed starters. Just worried about Darmian and Lukaku.

Can I expect Darmain to play both games? I really don't understand who will play in their defence for sure, other than Smalling.

I would look at Clyne or Cresswell if you want DGW players. Really tricky with all these rotations. Darmian might even get minutes in one of the games, but right now it looks like he is dropped.

A little, but with his form and lack of fit strikers I think he has a good chance of 70 plus mins in both. I think he's less of a rotation risk than Liverpool forwards and possibly all Man Utd forwards, and a much more explosive/exciting pick than Mitrovic and other similar price forwards

Coutinho should be pretty safe option for gw34 but gw36 & 37 could be problem due to Europa league semis?

    Liverpool fixtures:

Semi final 1st leg 28th of April
    Swansea (a) 30th of April
Semi final 2nd leg 5th of May
    Watford away 7th of May

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

    Plan B

For those that wildcarded with plans of a bench boost in GWK 34 is it time for plan B - triple captaincy.

With Liverpool players not guaranteed starts, and many very likely to miss GWK 35, with Gabriel set to be dropped (Wenger hinted at Mertesacker coming back in for CPL), Lukaku a doubt and other Everton players doubts or outs many will need to take hits to field a bench as it is.

If you spend say 8 pts in hits to get a credible bench together what realistically can you expect from them? 20 pts - 8pts perhaps? So just 12pts. Can a triple captaincy of Sanchez top that? Probably I think.

Or is it better to use your bb in GWK 37 and start planning to get better players in then?

Or is it better to have fun - spend some hits to change your bench and hope for the best. That way you get to keep the tc for a west ham player in GWK 37 - who have good fixtures and now free of the chains of FA Cup rotation.

You base your wildcard not on getting the best squad for the future and best dgwkers but with having a bench boost in mind. This means you are more prone to getting dgwk assets that are not as good as the single gameweekers you have discarded.

Why marry the TC to a wildcard? The difficulty for wildcarding in gw32 or 33 was always going to be rotation and injury/fatigue risk in most of the choice teams from the number of games, _plus_ the brick wall that is gw35. The doubles in 37 were never as juicy, but if your gw36 WC plans consider 36/37/38 overall, I think the possibilities look much better.

that was last chance saloon for him I was shipping him - the Wilson injury made me use my FT that week or he would have gone.

The bench boost will probably not be near as fruitful as we thought it would be a few weeks ago, but GW 37 is even worse. The points you're making about Everton and Liverpool are still valid then and rotation will be an even bigger worry then for so many teams. I've spent 8 points to get Martial, Smalling and Milner in for Lukaku, Jagielka and Bolasie. Just hoping for the best really. Having said that, I still prefer to have 3 Arsenal players now ( Gabriel may be dropped, may not be) and 3 City players who could possibly not play 2 matches ( Hart, KDB and Aguero) than having 3 Sunderland or Norwich players in 37

I'm looking at an 8 pt hit too. I currently favour the 'have fun' option and get the best team you want for each gwk.

Exactly that. I'm just trying to get a good squad now and see what happens. After this GW all can be different again. What the last GW has thought me more than anything, is that you can plan for weeks for these DGWs, but some things are just out of our hands. You never know who might suddenly get rotated ( Sakho, Lovren, Coutinho and perhaps to a lesser extent KDB which could be expected I guess) or gets injured ( Jagielka, Barkley etc).

GW37 massive rotation issues, youngsters being given chances etc. Stick to BB. I'm considering
Bolasie & Lukaku > Coutinho & Origi for 8pt hit.
      OR
Dann, Bolasie & Lukaku > PVA, Countinho & Sturridge 12pt hit

I blame Mark for all this. These injuries, rotation and players being dropped is killing the DGW options. We feel sorry for casuals but most will be laughing GW35 with 3 spurs, 3 leicester and probably some southampton. In the meantime the DGW34 is going down like a fart in a elevator.

We knew the risks going in with rotation so what's changed really? and will have exactly the same issue come GW37. Stick to our guns and if it goes tits up so be it, we can take it. 😀

To be honest, I kept Mahrez, Kane and Fuchs so am not that badly affected. Lennon has messed up my plans with his injury but I think I am just going to go for it. 8-12 point hit and punch that BB button for this weekend!

TC GW34 BB34 and BB GW37 was my plan A all the way 😉 , based on this formula:

(TC37 expected extra points + BB DGW37 expected extra points ) - (TC GWxx expected extra points + BB DGW34 expected extra points )

If positive, play TC this GW, if negative play BB this GW and save TC chip. With current injuries and rotation nightmare , I'd say net result from this formula is positive. I can then bench Jags until DGW37 and save a hit, and take care of other pressing issues.

      Morning all,

GW37 just doesn't offer enough. So many teams may have nothing to play for by then. Just not enough of the season left to change plans now in my opinion.

As far as TC is concerned I'm even thinking about playing this on the last day of the season to try and "go out with a bang".

I almost bench boosted in GW15 but then Rojo got injured. Ended up leaving Mahrez on the bench for his hat trick and had 34 points on the bench in total. Would love for that score from the bench this week!

The way I had planned my wildcard, I had planned transfers which gave me a strong 11 for gwk 37. In order to get a decent full squad for the bench boost, I'd have to take 4 hits.

I'd rather take one or two hits (I'm hoping to not have to take any to be honest!) now and stick to my guns then to change my plans at this late stage.

      How's this for a GW 34 WC?

      Robles/Mignolet

      Bellerin/Delaney/Fuchs/Fonsu-Mensah/Dawson

      Martial/Agüero/Origi

Absolutely yes. Just have to work out who to bench now. As for looking at the BB, I genuinely think GW38 is a good idea with those fixtures and, barring injury obviously, rotation may not be much of an issue as the last game.

Stick to your guns, the hysteria and panic over one bad gw is remarkable.

We made our WC teams for a reason. There was always going to be rotation. Taking -8s after a WC is just plain ridiculous, injuries aside.

I wrote an article in GW1 on this FFS site, basically predicting that having to WC a week earlier just to play BB is highly problematic, especially at this stage of the season with cups, Europe, injuries and suspensions aplenty.

Add to that the carnage of having to fix a terrible team after the DGW while your rivals hang on to Kane, Mahrez, Toby etc.

As things are, even if we change the plan to BB in GW37, we'll still need to take hits.
Almost everyone is loaded with ARS and WHM players. 3 FTs won't be enough.

I'm personally sticking to my initial plan and BBoosting this GW, even if it means taking a -8pts.
That too because of Olsson not playing and Jags injured. Else I would have been good.

Now all will depend on Lukaku and Cech, who will hopefully play!

I'm sticking with it BB this week for sure, I spent so much time running through different iterations of teams and picked this one so to not play it wouldn't be right.

Plan for now until GWK 37

      Current team is:
      Robles Darlow
      Gabriel Delaney Otamendi Lovren Bellerin
Sanchez De Bruyne Coutinho Lanzini Bolasie
      Lukaku Mitrovic Aguero

GWK34 BB Bolasie + Delaney out for Fosu-mensah + Milner
      GWK 35 Mitrovic - Defoe
GWK 36 De Bruyne - Payet
      GWK 37 Otamendi - Smalling

I fortunately have no injuries so I'm going for it still. 14 DGW'ers ahoy!

To be honest I want it done and out of the way. It's getting tedious now. Plus my two mini-league rivals are chipped out so lets get it done and see where we stand by this time next week.

We're never going to get 15 DGW players playing twice, so just do the best you can IMO. Then move on to GW35 with an eye on DGW37 for a TC somewhere.

One issue I see with BB in GW37 is that MCY will be hosting Arsenal. Some of us have Aguero/KDB/3 Arsenal players.

Do you feel confident bench boosting with them in GW37? I personally want to keep my 3 Arsenal players until GW38 when they place Villa at home.

I'm doing Dann Jags Bolasie to Smalling Fosu-Mensah and Milner for -8. The minus 8 would be paid back immediately with a United CS (hopefully two) and I've Milner in place for GW35 and DGW37.

I could go for Leicester or Spurs players instead but surely at least one United CS is nailed on?

im in same dilemma, jags {inj} lukaka {doubt} likes of gabriel mangala kdb cout all rotation risks, but may just stick with bb plans, even with 1 or 2 hits,
if i was planning a triple cap w/c then i wouldnt of tried to get 14-15dgw players in
i think the ones who are w/carding this week who have no chips will still have strong teams, 11 dgwers, good sgw players on bench prob all with gw35 games like lei&tot
but i know a couple of people who are on w/c this week, only to realise they cant use chips to ! we have the advantage of chips against those who have used them, or forgot to w/c early in order to use them, will be a interesting week for different stratagies

Surely it's not possible to get 15 players in without a lot of hits to effectively BB in 37?

We've made our beds, now time to lie.. I will use a FT to get rid of Jagielka, take a hit to get rid of Janmaat and I'm ditching Lukaku too, I've seen enough. Thinking of putting in Martial for him. Would like to TC Sanchez this week but it would leave me with an ineffective BB in 37.

Not on your life. I am all set up for 34 and am looking good for the BB. It is plain naivety to suggest 37 is better for the BB chip.

My no 1 rule is "Pick Players that Play." I stayed away from the likes of Lennon, Gabriel, et al because I just cannot go into a BB chip with doubts hanging over them.

My only concern is the LIV players and Lukaku. I know I will get at least one game out of them but probably two as it is unlikely there will be heavy rot two weeks in a row.

Too many on here are acting in haste and are making premature decisions without knowing the full status of certain players. This is a time for calm and patience.

A was my transfers this week until the Lukaku news.

Might do Lukaku, Lennon > Martial, Milner instead now.

MCY v ARS in GW37 doesnt seem like a good time to BB esp when you could TC Coutinho or Sturridge

"Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino were given just an hour against Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night, so perhaps look more likely to start against the Cherries in the attacking midfield areas. Should Klopp look to rest Philippe Coutinho ahead of the Merseyside derby"

I was thinking of selling Firmino but should I now sell Courtinho??

probably in gw37, you will have almost the same players , but with just 1 game
