Romelu Lukaku is added to Everton’s list of doubts for the visit of Southampton. Salomon Rondon is passed fit for West Brom’s clash with Watford, Quique Sanchez Flores hints at rotation for the Hornets ahead of the FA Cup semi-finals, whilst Marko Arnautovic is expected to return in time for Stoke’s Monday night showdown with Spurs.

Romelu Lukaku, Ross Barkley, Aaron Lennon and Leighton Baines will be assessed ahead of Everton’s home clash with Southampton, Roberto Martinez has confirmed. Lukaku has been nursing a groin problem, which was aggravated against Palace in midweek, and will be monitored after he failed to train yesterday. The Toffees are without injured pair Tom Cleverley and Phil Jagielka, whilst James McCarthy is suspended. With one eye also on the upcoming FA Cup semi-final, Martinez has also hinted that “one or two youngsters” could be handed a chance against the Saints due to the injury situation.

Arsene Wenger has no new injury concerns ahead of the home encounter against Palace. The Gunners boss has revealed that Santi Cazorla and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could “maybe” be back next week, though neither has returned to full training yet. Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky continued their recoveries with run-outs for the reserves yesterday.

Villa’s Gabby Agbonlahor has been ruled out for the next two weeks. Caretaker manager Eric Black has confirmed that the forward will undergo a personal fitness programme to improve his match sharpness.

Steven Davis has recovered from an ankle problem in time for Southampton’s clash with Everton. Charlie Austin is sidelined with a minor knee injury, whilst Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Shane Long is fully fit after being forced off with dizziness last weekend.

Swansea have no injury worries ahead of their trip to Newcastle, with Leon Britton back in contention after recovering from a back complaint.

Big Sam has no injury problems to contend with for Sunderland’s vital trip to Norwich, with Duncan Watmore passed fit after a couple of months on the sidelines.

West Brom’s Salomon Rondon has recovered from the back injury that forced him off early against Man City last weekend. Alex Pritchard (hip) joins James Morrison on the sidelines as the Baggies welcome Watford to the Hawthorns.

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has confirmed his intentions to rotate the squad over double Gameweek 34, with one eye on the FA Cup semi-final encounter with Palace a week on Sunday.

Marko Arnautovic “should be okay” for Stoke’s clash with Spurs on Monday after missing out last week with a back problem. Erik Pieters serves the first of a two-match ban, whilst fellow left-back Marc Muniesa hasn’t trained since Monday and remains doubtful. Mark Hughes is optimistic on Glenn Whelan’s chances of recovery, though the midfielder has yet to fully train over the last few days.

Junior Stanislas could be in line to return for Bournemouth this weekend after stepping up his recovery from a hamstring injury. Benik Afobe, Harry Arter and Adam Smith remain on the sidelines.

      Hear, hear.

I'm keeping him now cos I've taken a hit to sort of my midfield. Let's just hope he decides to show up. Wouldn't be surprised if he just plays one of the games.

Do you know what? Any other week I wouldn't be so stressed. Got 92 last gw, all mo opponents have kaku and Gabriel, at least I only have kaku.
I'm in a group of 5 battling for top spot in a ml with only 37 points between first and 5th.
Ml leader has no bb, someone else has already taken an 8 point hit and has a maximum 10 dgw players so I will just stick.
If kaku doesn't start against Southampton so be it, means he'll be fresh for Liverpool.

This is basically why I'm also keeping in the Liverpool boys I have (Sakho/Cout) - two matches would be great but I'm sure they'll play at least one and hopefully figure in both...

Looking for Lennon replacement with with 5.7

    A) Townsend (gives me 11 in GW 35)
    B) Lingard
    C) Lanzini

Also Lukaku being a doubt...sigh is it worth a hit to get in Martial

    Cheers

Lennon > Firmino and Lukaku > Pelle for a 4 pt hit?
I don't like the idea of Martial because he blanks next GW while Pelle has Villa away, and I don't want to field 5 defenders.

    Team: (going to bench boost)

    DDG / Robles
    Bellerin / Simpson / Gabriel / Morgan / Lovren
    Mahrez / Sanchez (C) / Payet / Firmino / Lanzini
    Kane / Pelle / Aguero

I play in a draft league and am still conflicted about my choice for this week. My team is below. Should I:
    A. Play the team as is and Triple Captain Aguero
    B. Pick up Cresswell for Jagielka for a -4 and Bench Boost

    Courtois
    Bellerin Clyne Gabriel
    Lingard Ozil Lanzini Bolasie Payet
    Aguero Deeney
    Bench: Schmeichel Pelle Walker Jagielka

guys with everton playing this past midweek the merseyside derby midweeek and ffa cup semi next weekend, surely even if kaku is only minor knock , he will be benched for rest anyways???

    For GW 34 and 35:
    A) Clyne and Gabriel
    B) Moreno and Monreal

I guess the question is: who is the bigger rotation risk? Moreno or Gabriel?

    1. Morgs
      • 11 Years
      10 years, 3 months ago

I would say Moreno has a slightly higher chance, what with Europa league fixtures added to their workload, but to be honest I don't think either him or Gabriel will be rotated.

Re the bench boost v triple C debate.

Assuming most of us have 3 Arsenal and will no doubt hold them for sun (35) and NOR (36).... Our 'bench' will likely be Arsenal players away to City in 37. Not too enticing really.

    Hi,

I desperately need some advice here:

Cech - Butland (maybe none will play)
    Bellerin - Alder - Huth - Willians - Wolly
Øzil - Firmino - Alli - Lennon -Mahrez
    Lukaku - Aguero - Kane

My biggest concern is Petr Cech....if he is left out I'm with no keeper.
And of course that I don't have Sanchez and Payet

What would you do? Only 1 transfer available.....leading mini-league by 63 points - and do want to block Sanchez and Payet

The players that might rotate this GW for me are
    Sakho coutinho

    Lukaku
