Morning all,

As a non-BB owner, I was all set to play my TC and stick it on Alexis for the DGW... Only I totally forgot to activate it!!! He is just my regular captain but I am so cross with myself.

I still have a WC (which i plan to use for the next DGW) but now I still have TC I am stuck.

      I think we have seen in general the ineffectiveness of planning too far ahead, although I plan by nature.
      
      But if there are two reasonably comparable options I'm picking the low-hanging fruit i.e. Points probability now, not later.

    9 is uncomfortable, I may myself take a hit as I see it as a -2 rather than a -4 as most players would score at least 2 in a given GW. I thought about taking a punt on Pelle, anyone who plays against Villa are a reasonable chance of points.

Last 10 games Firmino started in.

13, 2, 18, 2, 13, 6, 12, 9, 2, 11

8.8 points per game. The 2 games he didn't start, he was injured.

Last 10 games Payet started in

3, 2, 13, 3, 6, 13, 5, 9, 2, 1

I had him for all those points and i think having him over Payet has earned me 30 more points over my ML rival. Yet, Payet is still perceived as the must have.

Love it.

      Personally, i don't have space. Point i'm trying to make is there are a lot of perceived misconceptions on FFS. Firmino is regarded as a meh asset while Payet is considered essential but Firmino has absolutely plonkered Payet FPL wise.

        Overall is just an unfair comparison. Its like comparing Lei attacking assets in the first half of the season and the second half. Both are great assets to have but i just get baffled at the cult status Payet has and the meh status Firmino has when Firmino averages 3 points per game more.

        Well in my opinion its not unfair. Player is looked over a season and not in segments that favor one or the other.
        Firmino has played 5 games less or so granted, but they are both great options.

        I saw it as essential to have Payet and a Liverpool mid, but Coutinho at 0.2m less meant I was able to afford Clyne & Martial rather than another pair. Oh how that didn't pay off in the slightest bit

        I am debating on shipping Coleman / Martial / Smalling / Lukaku / Cout. Those are my priorities at the moment. Cout maybe the least at the moment.
        
        Coleman and Martial seem the best moves, but cant bring in Kane due to lack of .5
        
        Any ideas ? Need gw 35 players tho

        The issue with Cout at the moment he COULD POSSIBLY make an 1 point cameo in gw 35 so -4 to get rid isnt point effective. I can ship him after that.

        The issue is he is injured and ties a lot of funds. Already have Robles as eve defensive cover.

  Isn't that a faulty comparison? To really compare points over a period of time, you'd have to look at owning them over the same period. Firmino's points (88) are from gw 21 til now. That same period Payet have scored 72 points. Firmino's still ahead by 16, but you've left out gw 21-23 when listing Payet's points. And this gw is still active, so Payet could well catch up, especially if Firmino's rested against Everton..

      I know you are, but you don't own players for a number of starts. You own them for a number of gameweeks so you can't say you're up 30 points looking at having owned a player over a certain period (# gw's). Ofc you could argue that you had someone coming off the bench for Firmino those two blank gw's and add those points to th equation. Comparing two players over the starts they've made is not right imho. That being said, I own both and am very happy with it.

I actually think this WC/BB might make me lose my ML.
Prior to me WC and messing with my team and getting folk like Sakho, Martial in my team I was winning comfortably now everyone is closing in 🙁

These last fews weeks are are going to be as fun as Leicester without Vardy I think...
