Craig Dawson scores at both ends of the pitch as West Brom all but end Tottenham’s title tilt. Christian Eriksen picks up the points yet again, though Dele Alli could be in hot water after an apparent off-the-ball incident with Claudio Yacob was missed by the referee. Elsewhere, Jamie Vardy’s ban will be extended by one match ahead of Leicester’s vital trip to Old Trafford.

Spurs title bid almost over

Tottenham Hotspur’s slim title hopes all but ended following a 1-1 victory at White Hart Lane, ensuring that Leicester City require a solitary victory to lift the Premier League crown.

Christian Eriksen provided the assist for the Craig Dawson own goal that opened the scoring, meaning that he now delivered attacking returns (one goal, five assists) in his last six starts. The Dane is now up to third in the FPL midfield standing on 170 points to team-mate Dele Alli’s 166, though the latter’s 34% owners will be bracing themselves after he appeared to throw a punch at the Baggies’ Claudio Yacob. Given that the referee failed to see the incident, Alli could face a retrospective violent conduct charge by the FA, potentially resulting in a three-match suspension that would rule him out for the rest of the season.

Harry Kane, meanwhile, spurned a golden opportunity in the first period but proved largely ineffectual for the remainder of the encounter. Nonetheless, the 10.4-priced marksman has netted 14 goals in 18 London derbies during his fledgling career, which paints a positive picture ahead of the Lilywhites’ trip to Chelsea next Monday night.

Eric Dier was withdrawn 15 minutes from time after complaining about dizziness. Given how crucial the enforcer is to Tottenham’s defensive resolve, his potential absence would force us to reassess their clean sheet prospects at Stamford Bridge.

Dawson salvages point for Baggies

Tony Pulis’ side arrested a run of three successive defeats with a hard-fought draw against the North Londoners.

The Baggies were without Ben Foster and Sadio Berahino for the trip to White Hart Lane after both were ruled out with ankle problems.

Craig Dawson atoned for his early own goal with a headed leveler, courtesy of a Craig Gardener assist at the opposite end. The 5.1-priced right-back ranks joint-second among all defenders for goals (four) this term but – like the rest of his teammates – is unlikely to attract investment in appreciation of West Brom’s challenging schedule (WHU, bou, LIV).

Vardy Banned for United Clash

Earlier this morning, the FA confirmed that Jamie Vardy has been handed a one-match suspension on the grounds of improper conduct following his dismissal against West Ham United.

Having sat out the weekend win over Swansea, the Leicester forward attended a personal hearing yesterday but his attempt to avoid an extra ban has failed. Given that he will now be available for the Gameweek 37 home encounter against Everton, thus handing him just two more matches before the season ends, many of his 37% owners may look to cut ties at a time where eight sides play four times in the final three rounds of fixtures.

Leonardo Ulloa is likely to shrug off the minor back problem that forced him off against the Swans on Sunday to lead the line at Vardy’s expense. Given that the Argentine netted twice in the 4-0 win, Claudio Ranieri may well retain an unchanged lineup as Leicester go to Old Trafford looking to clinch the title.

Plenty of players in my team that have to go: Sakho, Fosu, Gabriel, Coutinho, Alli, Firmino
I'm set on two transfers for a hit this week --> Sakho and Coutinho (Alli?) might have to go first...

Please pick the ones I should go for GW36 onwards (another hit for GW37 is on the cards)

    A. Moreno
    B. PVA

    1. Pedro
    2. Fabregas
    3. Payet (have Carroll)

Fosu is cheap enough to be benched and Firmino seems to be the Liverpool mid who gets the most starts.

B3. Fabregas could be worth a punt 37 too.

Sunderland is probably the only team worth considering to double up on.

Even if there's no cleanies, Mannone can be counted on for save points and PvA for goals/assists. A win-win situation.

I'm about 80 points ahead, don't wanna seem cocky but think it's won. The other ML aren't that important and I'm probably too far from them to win (60 points minimum) in the top 8k which I was never expecting it any point this season either. So really it's a case of do whatever I think will return the most points

Current WC team (no other chips left)

    DDG - Schwarzer
    Cathcart - Ogbonna - Monreal - Rose - Moreno/PVA
    Sanchez - Firmino - Payet - Lanzini - Stanislas
    Aguero - Kane - Sturridge

No wiggle room what so ever! Thought of downgrading one of the big hitting strikers to spread the cash elsewhere but the general consensus seems to be to keep them in as much as possible... and I dont really know who to replace them with! 😀

Any thought and comments appreciated in advance 🙂

I'd prefer another DGW striker if I was playing my WC - I'm currently on Kun, Kane and Rashford but tempted to swap a 37SGWer for Costa, Lukaku or even Defoe next week

I initially had Lukaku in there! but his form has dropped! I havent actually hit the WC button yet so I could wait till next week to see how he fairs against Bournemouth and try and cope with what I have for this week!

Looks pretty good and safe with the front XI and only the WC left.

If you are chasing I would think going for one or two more differentials might reap rewards. But if leading just stay put then.

    Kun Kane Borini

Bench (Robles. Alli, Delaney & Sakho) 0.1 ITB

The first 2 transfers seem fine IMO - obvs Sakho out and KDB liable to rotation etc.
Who would you replace Coutinho with? another Ham mid? In my opinion Firmino also seems a good choice - probably nailed on more than Coutinho (who will get rested for the bigger games)

I still do with the mighty Leeds United and remember the good old days fondly. One day in the future we will be "marching on together". Well done Leicester (nearly there), it's been a pleasure willing you on this season (especially having Vahrez since gw2).

Good luck to all for the rest of this difficult season.

    Fellas.

Carroll, Defoe, Deeney or Rashford for the remainder of the season?

Was leaning towards Carroll but uncertainty of starts and Villa(H) for Deeney is confusing me.

Defoe always a threat too and Sunderland need him badly..

What are people with Coutinho doing this week who aren't on a wildcard?

I was having a nice day off watching County Cricket at Hove one fine June day five years or so ago and it snowed then.

Life gets weirder as you get older.

I really need you help with my team guys. Gonna BB i GW37 but afraid I won't get 15 staring players., no WC.

    My team is:

    Forster - McCarthy

    Dier (75%) - Clyne (75%) - Borthwick Jackson - Simpson - Wiliams

    Coutinho - Ozil - Iwobi - Payet - KBB

Vardy (suspened) - Aguero - Sturrigde

What to do with this team?? Many problems, which should I concentrate on?
    Really glad for every respons.
