Gylfi Sigurdsson will miss Swansea’s final two fixtures with a shoulder problem. Per Mertesacker is sidelined with a hamstring injury, Robert Huth and Marouane Fellaini are handed three-match bans by the FA, whilst Palace have concerns on the flanks for the visit of Watford.

Gareth Barry and Seamus Coleman have “an outside chance” of returning for the first match of Everton’s double as the Toffees head to Leicester this weekend. Roberto Martinez has conceded that Gerard Deulofeu is very likely to remain out for the season, though is hopeful that Phil Jagielka could return for the Gameweek 38 showdown against Norwich. Elsewhere at the back, Ramiro Funes Mori serves the last of a three-match suspension.

Per Mertesacker is sidelined for the final two matches with the hamstring problem that forced him off against Norwich last time out. Santi Cazorla stepped up his match fitness with a run out for the reserves earlier in the week, though Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is out for six to eight weeks with a knee problem.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (shoulder) and Neil Taylor (groin) are set to miss Swansea’s final two fixtures, whilst Ashley Williams “might not feature” in the trip to West Ham as he needs a rest, according to Francesco Guidolin. Jefferson Montero could also be sidelined due to a hamstring problem, though Leroy Fer could be set to return from a similar complaint. Alberto Paloschi (also hamstring) remains unavailable.

Bournemouth’s Adam Smith will miss the final two Gameweeks with an ongoing hernia problem. Cherries boss Eddie Howe has confirmed that Max Gradel is making “good progress” from a leg injury, though Sylvain Distin is sidelined with a back complaint.

Robert Huth starts the first of a three-match ban after being found guilty of violent conduct in Leicester’s clash with United last weekend. Danny Drinkwater serves a one match suspension, though Jamie Vardy returns from a two-match ban. Matty James is finally available for selection and could be part of the squad.

Tony Pulis has hinted that he “might make a few changes” as West Brom make their way to Bournemouth tomorrow.

Wilfried Zaha remains ruled out as Palace welcome Stoke to Selhurst Park. Yannick Bolasie is a slight doubt due to illness and Mile Jedinak is being monitored after sustaining a knock.

Bojan is a doubt for Stoke’s visit to Palace due to a foot problem, Mark Hughes has revealed. Marc Wilson remains sidelined for the Potters, whilst Glen Johnson is back in full training and could be in with a shout of returning next weekend.

Louis van Gaal will be without Marouane Fellaini for the final three league matches of the season after the Belgian was banned for his altercation with Robert Huth last weekend. The Dutchman went on to hint at rotating his squad over the double Gameweek as he looks to keep players fresh ahead of the FA Cup final.

Billy Jones is Sunderland’s only concern ahead of Chelsea’s weekend visit after picking up a hip problem.

Gabriel Obertan and Sylvain Marveaux have parted company with Newcastle by mutual consent ahead of the final two matches of the season.

    Not sure it's been mentioned:

Honestly I think there's slim pickings this week in defence Eoin.

Sunderland have two tough defensive fixtures.
Norwich is a complete punt as very little form.
United don't keep cleanies away from home.
West Ham don't keep cleanies regardless.
          Leicester might be hungover.
Spurs are deflated against a tough Saints attack.
Arsenal v City could be a stalemate but I'm expecting goals.

Martin or Bellerin for me mate.
Most on here would say PvA I reckon.

Yea agree thanks for input as always.
Looking at Caroll in over Cresswell that's 3 wham (no Reid)
I have Pva, if Rose is out I'll prob get Martin, I still think he will outscore Bellerin with a -4, you reckon?

              10 years, 2 months ago

Reid isn't worth it anyway imo, especially with Adrian out.

I took the punt on Cresswell's attacking potential... Carroll is my TC though so I'd prioritise him over Cresswell.

I went for Martin, with Bellerin on the bench, although I'm not sure between Martin + MOlsson, I just went for the captain and I'm hoping he leads by example. Back to RB now too, which could mean more attacking....

Time to decide on the last hit forcthe season.

    Ignoring other players.
    Do I?
    A) Sell Mahrez for Fabregas, means I'll play Milner and Fab, benching Alexis.
Reason wouod be, it's a done deal for Lei and Inthink fringe players will get gametime.

    B) Sell Milner for Fabregas, means I'll play Alexis and Fab, benching Mahrez.
Reason would be fright of lack of gametime fof Milner as the EL final is THE game for Pool now.

Leaning heavilly towards A. Though I hate to lose the only player I've had all season

Contemplating a -12 hit to swap:

    Kane > Caroll
    Coutinho > Hazard
    Milner > Payet
    Simpson > Martin

-12 seems a lot but I see each of those players scoring +4 more than their replacements so on that basis, it makes sense.

    Yay or Nay?

I'm considering a very similar -12. Already have Payet, but would do Mitro -> Defoe as my 4th transfer.

I'm also unsure - especially on Simpson -> Martin. Would love some other opinions too! 😉

That is the one I'm wavering on. I don't think Leicester will keep a clean sheet, whereas Norwich have a chance and Martin also has much more attacking upside.

    De Gea (Robles)
    Smalling, PVA, Clyne (Bellerin, Rose*)
    Hazard, Firmino, Payet, Townsend (Sanchez)
    Kane, Carroll, Defoe

    0.3 banked, 1FT.

Was tempted to do Kane to Sturridge but that doesn't seem like an option now. Very unsure on the Liverpool line up but I guess everyone is in the same boat.

Should I save a transfer? Will Clyne play?? Really want Cresswell but can't afford without a hit so not sure whether it is worth it?

That was against Bournmouth, did badly before against them also

Since then played in FA Cup matches and a hero in some of them, has mangers confidence he is better now, would not be a liability to team, far from it.

I might gamble on that depending on pressers.

Yes but only because I'm behind and ML rival has Carroll and Payet

I will probably play it safe and TC Payet. I think owning Carroll and Hazard will be enough of a differential against most FPL players.

And if you don't have Payet?

Time of season, ripe for players to be rested but seems like very new worthy Team news this week more than most. Waiting for all before transfers made, Adrian a surprise , even more on match day's i bet

    Have exact cash for:

Rose / Iwobi / Kane out for

    Cresswell / Payet / Carroll

    -8

    Yes / no?

Anyone ditching Sturridge? I just feel it's not worth holding any pool players anymore.

I am. He may play one game. Then will be rested gw38 anyway

I think I will. Looking beyond this week no way he starts in 38, so that's 1 out of 3 starts max. Keeping kane and kun and getting Carroll or defoe

I might get both Carroll & Defoe.

It is tempting but he has a chance of a DGW so I had better keep

    A) Sakho + Alli --> Azp/Cresswell + Hoolahan
    B) Sakho + Alli + De Bruyne --> Reid + Redmond + Hazard (-4)

Can we count on Robles getting both games in the DGW?

Even if he does I doubt they'll keep any clean sheets.

No, given Howard is on 398 EPL games he may get one of the dgw games
