Back in February we introduced you to the arrival of Draft Kings โ€“ a hugely successfully Daily Fantasy Sports site in the US โ€“ to the UK.

Weโ€™re delighted to announce that weโ€™re all set to work with the game over the Euro 16 tournament, providing player recommendation articles prior to each set of matches.

With that in mind, we thought weโ€™d bring the game back to your attention with a guide to playing their Premier League contests over the final day of the Premier League season.

As we stated in our introductory article, Draft Kingsโ€™ contests require an 11 player line-up to be selected with a fixed salary cap of $50,000, this squad or โ€œrosterโ€ must include players from at least three different teams but beyond that there is no restriction on how many players from each club you can select.

The team must include a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders and two forwards. There are then two โ€˜utilityโ€™ spots that can be filled by players from any category apart from a second keeper.

The points are rewarded based on Opta data so if youโ€™re a member, youโ€™ll have the advantage of being able to scan our tables in order to gain a potential edge.

Weโ€™ve actually created a public stats table to this effect here, which offers a view on the per minute totals across some of the key elements of the Draft Kings scoring matrix. These include Interceptions, Tackles Won, Shots on Target, Fouls Won and, perhaps most significantly, Crosses.

The reward for a cross (via open play and set pieces) is particularly unique, making full-backs from mid-table teams that rely on aerial balls into the box a focus of your attention โ€“ itโ€™s also the key reason why youโ€™ll see the likes of Dimitri Payet at the top of the price list.

Be sure to peruse the full Draft Kings scoring matrix here.

Gameweek 38 Targets

As mentioned, weโ€™ll be on hand to provide some pointers via future Draft Kings articles.

True to form, weโ€™ve identified some key targets for Sundayโ€™s clashes which look to have the potential to provide the nucleus of a successful Draft Kings XI.

At the back weโ€™re getting sentimental and are currently looking at Evertonโ€™s Tim Howard as our stopper, although his price of $4000 is somewhat off-putting.

If youโ€™re looking to save pennies, we favour Crystal Palaceโ€™s Julian Speroni at $3200 who should reap in points from saves given Southamptonโ€™s current form โ€“ he made ten stops in his only other league appearance against Manchester United this season.

At the back we like the look of Liverpoolโ€™s Brad Smith given that he can be acquired for just $2800. The second string left-back looks likely to get the nod in a much-changed Liverpool lineup at the Hawthorns and has averaged a cross every 18.5 minute and a tackle won every 25.5 minutes in his two league appearances so far.

We currently have Smith alongside the crossing and clean sheet potential of Evertonโ€™s Leighton Baines ($5000) and Southamptonโ€™s Ryan Bertrand ($4400).

In midfield we just couldnโ€™t ignore the current hot property that is Dusan Tadic ($6600), a player featured in Tom Fenley’s Weekly Shop article earlier in the week.

Tadic is on fire and averaging a cross every 11.7 minutes over the season. His team-mate Steven Davis ($4600) is another option, however: he goes into the Palace meeting off the back of two goals at White Hart Lane having averaged a cross every 12.3 minutes over his last four Gameweeks, which surpasses even Tadic over the same spell.

Elsewhere in the middle of the park weโ€™ve gone for Eden Hazard (who looks cheap at $5600), purely on form and his ability to draw fouls. Weโ€™ve liberated some funds for his acquisition by looking to his team-mate, Bertrand Traore.

Heโ€™s keenly priced at just $2700 and yet he looks guaranteed a start up front for Chelsea in the absence of Diego Costa. Traoreโ€™s statistics are also eye-catching. While his opportunities have been limited to eight appearances, mainly from the bench, heโ€™s impressed in those matches: he ranks top amongst midfielders for minutes per shot on target 59.2, and, having fired in a goal attempt every 25.4, heโ€™s ranked fourth.

Another Everton player โ€“ Kevin Mirallas ($3500) โ€“ is also tempting us.

The Belgian scored a superb individual goat at Leicester last time out and, over a stuttering season has averaged an effort on goal every 25.6 minutes (ranked fifth amongst midfielders) with a cross supplied every 23.8 minutes.

In attack, weโ€™re currently looking at Southamptonโ€™s Shane Long ($6000), another player picked out in Tom’s Weekly Shop, with support from Olivier Giroud ($5900) and Christian Benteke ($4700).

Giroud looks a certain starter against the ultra obliging Aston Villa rearguard and boasts a strong minutes per shot statistic (25.5 ranking sixth for strikers).

Similarly, Benteke has produced some solid numbers when heโ€™s had his opportunities, firing in an effort on goal every 26.4 minutes, and we fancy plenty of goals in the final day encounter at the Hawthorns.

Those are some of the names currently under consideration for our lineups. Weโ€™ll doubtless be tweaking our right up until kick-off and you can do the same โ€“ using the teamsheet announcements to pounce on any bargain acquisitions.

Your lineups can be submitted into contests for an entry fee and can be saved so that they can be imported easily into other games.

There are various formats on offer, the tournaments or leagues (often referred to as GPPโ€™s or Guaranteed Prize Pots) are the large entry competitions which have the largest pots. The head-to-head section provides a list of stakes for one-on-one battles, you can choose how much you would like to risk and view available opponents. Double-ups or 50/50s are quite self-explanatory with half the entries getting a twofold return on their fee.

Weโ€™ll be submitting a few teams to the 15k Striker Finale with, as youโ€™d expect, a $15k prize pot on offer, including $1k to the winner, with prizes dished out right down to 1175th spot.

If you’re lucky enough to have your Fantasy Premier League lineup sorted already, be sure to give Draft Kings a go in preparation for Euro 16.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

What is the best move please?

Payet and Milner OUT Mane and Tadic IN

    Darlow
    Smalling, Gabriel, Bellerin
    San(c)hez, Payet*, Hazard, Townsend
    Kun, Carroll, Defoe*

    Robles* Firmino* Cresswell, PvA*

    6 definite non-starters or doubts

Payet and Firmino to Tadic and Mane (-4) and bench Defoe or keep Firmino, do Defoe to Long, but then have to decide between Mane and Tadic again

Payet and Defoe to Tadic and Long. Only reason I'm going for Mane over Tadic is because my ML rival (32 pts ahead of me) will probably get Tadic in and I need differentials

am happy enough to play Townsend, Defoe, Firmino, both unlikely to start, both potential cameos, much of a muchness, just thing Mane is more explosive than Long

Bloody nora. Can't afford to risk getting a possible non starter in when I'm 32 points behind my ML leader.

Getting Payet and Defoe out. Already got:

        Darlow
        Smalling / Bellerin / Gabriel
        Sanchez / Hazard / Townsend / ?
        Kun / Kane / ?

        He has:

        Antonio / Sánchez / Mahrez / Firmino
        Martial / Sturridge / Kane

Who would you say are the best mid and fwd to bring in for differentials? Deeney? Rashford? Erikssen? Arnie?

Rival is 17 points behind and taken a hit. I own Payet, Defoe and PVA who are all rumoured to not play...

Do I take a hit for any of these?

    A: Lanzini ---> Mane (-4)

C: Lovren ---> Kosc (-4 double up Arsenal)

Nobody knows he will and nobody knows he won't. Big Sam said that he will give youngster the opportunity to play. But nobody really knows who.

With Payet out in the WHU team, chances are a lot smaller they will also replace Carroll since they will also have to replace Payet.

So Carroll is 'more nailed' than Defoe at this stage so if you want to get rid of one, it has to be Defoe based on starting chances

Has big Sam said anything special about which players he wants to give a chance or is everyone pretty much just asuming Defoe will be benched? Watford just conceded 4 (!) goals against Norwich. Removing Defoe, in probably the best form he has been in for years could be madness.

Actually if its for a hit I probably wouldnt bother with a keeper tbh. I am playing Darlow who will probably just get 1 point anyway. At best you're looking at 2 points profit.

Doesn't feel right going in to battle with 10 men. I'd back myself picking a GK who returns 2 pts minimum, and there's a chance of CS, saves and penalty saves. I'd be unlucky if my keeper scored less than 2/3.

Time to hit 3 birds with one stone...Yes or No please

    A) Tadic over Mane?
    B) Is Payet guaranteed not to start?
    C) Will Clichy start?

Lazy, but I'm not in the mood to do any info hunting.

What are your arguments for getting:

    A) Tadic
    B) Mane

Tadic has consistency/pens/free kicks, Mane either explodes or is a disaster

Tadic is on pens, free kicks and corners.

    Anyone considering Payet to Mata?

I'm chasing a 14 pt gap so could do with differential, but is this worth a -4?

I brought Mata in last week as I expect him to tear it up.

I very tempted. But I'm a biased united fan so need the opinion of other non united fans to set me straight.

(I have Tadic already, so probably not going for Mane)

I'd rather have Mane this week. Doesn't matter if you have Tadic. Mane should still score well regardless of who you have.

          Tadic, mané, Eriksen, Barkely

In fact most players ๐Ÿ˜› nah I just don't see united scoring many

Tadic I have. Eriksen possibly, but woudn't want the Kane double up. Everton I'm going no where near!!

Mane is the key to the debate here I think!

Yes, but if he does, then he will catch up to me with him as triple captain.

If you don't captain him he gets 2 x Sanchez more than you. If you have someone who you think will score more then captain him.

He'll get more points, but the blow will be cushioned. If Sanchez tears it up and you don't captain him, then your rival will blow you away.

Shall I get KDB for a hit or just play one of Cresswell/PVA instead?

If you think KDB vs Cresswell + 4 is worth it then go for it.

That's what I'm trying to work out. Swansea have a weakened team, City playing for CL, whilst West Ham have kept 1 CS in 9 games. But taking a hit in gameweek 38 seems a little ridiculous.

Ok need advice please, guys if you've got 2 secs. It's all come down to this...

I'm 32 points behind my ML leader and need major differentials. Got £14.1m to spend on a MID and a FWD.

    Me:
    Sanchez / Hazard / Townsend / ?
    Kun / Kane / ?

    Him:
    Antonio / Sánchez / Mahrez / Tadic
    Martial / Giroud / Kane

Thinking Mane and Long or are there better options? Deeney? Arnie?

    Cheers in advance.

      basically it's

      Hazard, Townsend, Kun + 2

      v

      Antonio, Mahrez, Tadic and Giroud

definitely get one of Long or Mane. Both could work
