Monday’s final Euro 2016 tie sees Fifa’s second highest ranked side Belgium square up to 2012 Euros finalist Italy.

Both sides come into the match in confident mood having topped their qualifying groups and ending their pre-tournament friendly preparations unbeaten. While Belgium defeated Norway 3-2 and drew 1-1 with Finland, Italy recorded wins against Scotland and Finland.

Marc Wilmots’ team are set to rely heavily on Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who created more chances than any other player during qualification. Along with Chelsea’s Eden Hazard he was also the Red Devils’ top scorer in qualifying with five goals.

Antonio Conte’s Italy were one of only four sides, alongside England, Austria and Romania, to be undefeated in qualifying. They did this despite not having a regular goal scorer, with Southampton striker Graziano Pelle the Azzuri’s top scorer in qualifying with just three goals.

    After watching Italy's great show yesterday, noticed life is not so fair for teams in group E.

    First they get to group of death and if they happen to win the group, their next game is gonna be against Spain or Croatia.
    After that most likely Germany..after that propably France...then it would be final.

    Finishing 2nd in that group would give much easier fixtures after group stage.

      Hope they win it. I put £10 pre tourney on them at 16-1. Not because I actually think they will win it. France, Germany or Spain, anything else a shock. The odds looked exciting though for a big tournament team.

        I can't see anyone winning it with that kind of schedule.
        Before tournament I predicted them to come 2nd in their group and go out in semis against Spain. Other pair being Germany vs France.

        And betted for final pairs of Spain vs Germany & Spain vs France 🙂

    Is 61 points a good score with Dragovic and Junuzovic left. Certainly feels like it went south for me after MD2. Muller, Lewandowski and Nolito- all 3 strikers blanked.
    Who should I likely replace from the above 3? and with whom?
    Lewandowski and Muller play against each other and Nolito is always a risk to have until he's on the team sheet before the match.

      I have 41 points and need to make up some points now. I have Alaba, Ronaldo and Guerreiro left. Had Denayer as capt yesterday and he didn't even make it on to the pitch.

      Who should I make captain. My gut tells me Alaba, but I don't know

          So NO to Alaba again. My main rival in our league has Alaba as captain. You can see when the make switches. So for my midfield was bust .... Perisic 3 - Dzeimail 3 - Stanciu 4. Only Payet with 10. At least my defence was solid with 4 Cleansheets so far.

              If I had him. Yes I would go for it. I also own Ronaldo and Alaba. If I know for sure Guirerro was going to start. I would go for him as capt in my team. As it seems like a defenders' tournament so far

    Probably only 3 Gamedays a WC has value. ( 2, 3, quarters)
    I am using GD 2 as was always my plan.
    With no bonus points and fewer goals per game than EPL, defenders will bdecome my priority. I hope to get 5 x 6 pointers out of 7 possible.
    Emphasis on defenders who get forward will be my priority.
    Mids and Forwards will be fairly template but I expect fixtures will play a part and the CS point for Mids holds value to me for the first time.

    Defender/keeper: Game time, Team strength, Fixture, Attack potential, Price.
    Mid: Game time, Form, Fixture, Playing position, Price
    Forward: Big Name, Fixture, Price

    I could really do with some garunteed points with Patricio but I could also take the risk on Alaba.

          I'd probably be a dullard and captain Patricio.

          Junuzovic seems more of an assister than a scorer to me, so would be surprising for him to get more than 6 points himself. If he does get a haul, then at least you still have the points!

      Junu as any time goalscorer is 4/1. That doesn't include assists of course but as the Portugal cleanie is 8/11 then that is statistically the massive favourite of the 2 events.

              Again a gut feeling that he will bomb against Poland. And i need funds to replace Denayer with someone decent.

              Looks like defenders' tournament so far in any case.

              Only other move is to bring Konoplyanka in and get a midfielder out. Which means it will have to be either Perisic or Alaba.

    I'm not playing the Euro 2016 fantasy game, got mixed reports so although slightly envious not to bothered, however it strikes me that with captain changes throughout and Portugal playing last on each 'game week' Ronaldo must be owned. Having a final captain chance on the best player in the tournament is a must and even if you stick with a captain before hand a huge majority will have him and will be captaining not hoping for that final day haul.

    Just an observation mind as, as I say, I've not looked into it too much as having a pre season break.

          I think the opposite can also be seen as a plus - you've got 3 or 4 captain choices before Ronaldo even plays, so it's quite likely you'll get a captain score you're happy with, and then you'll either have to risk that for Ronaldo or not captain your most expensive player. And if he blanks, you've got no one to switch him to.

            Fair argument. But to cover the ones that do go for Ronny ownership is key I'd have thought. Even without armband.
