We continue our series of members’ articles, which review the numbers behind the 2015/16 season, with a look at Southampton.

To get underway, we assess the Saints’ team statistics in Ronald Koeman’s final year in charge and compare them to the rest of Premier League, before analysing their first-team squad, main goal threats and creative sources in an attempt to gain insight on their prospects for the upcoming campaign.

The Saints finished in sixth position after embarking on a superb run of form that harvested seven wins and a draw in the final nine league fixtures.

        Watford and Bournemouth are on a home and away rotation, wouldnt fancy playing either of them for away fixtures but at home both could be in with a shout.

      By far his lowest price ever, was priced at 12 only four seasons ago. Could work out great unless he has turned into a danny drinkwater kind of player.

        Silva was suffering an ankle injury almost all of last season.

        He's healthy now, so he should be much better, especially playing under Pep. Thinking of bringing him in myself.

        Silva isn't the fantasy option he once was. Pep could of course change that, but KdB's goal threat makes the decision easy for myself.
