We continue our series of members’ articles, which review the numbers behind the 2015/16 season, with a look at Southampton.

To get underway, we assess the Saints’ team statistics in Ronald Koeman’s final year in charge and compare them to the rest of Premier League, before analysing their first-team squad, main goal threats and creative sources in an attempt to gain insight on their prospects for the upcoming campaign.

The Saints finished in sixth position after embarking on a superb run of form that harvested seven wins and a draw in the final nine league fixtures.

      As a striker, the competition is basically Asano, Akpom and Sanogo, right now.

      So he'll be nailed for as long as Giroud isn't ready. However, I reckon Giroud could be on the bench GW1 and starting GW2.

      There's also the possibility of another striker, you'd think... surely.
