Up next in our series of members’ articles, which review the numbers behind the 2015/16 season, are Tottenham.

We kick start our analysis by assessing the north London outfit’s team statistics in Mauricio Pochettino’s second season in charge and compare them to the rest of the Premier League. After that, we then take a close look at their first-team squad, main goal threats and creative sources with one eye on the season kick-off in just three weeks’ time.

Pochettino’s side finished third last time around, 11 points behind champions Leicester and one point behind north London rivals Arsenal.

That fails to tell the full story, though, as Spurs were still in with a chance of winning the title right up until their Gameweek 36 trip to Chelsea, where a 2-2 draw at the Bridge, which saw the visitors pick up nine yellow cards, handed the crown to Claudio Ranieri’s men.

Subsequent losses to Southampton and relegated Newcastle – a 5-1 hammering at St James’ – meant their season ended in bitter disappointment, with the Gunners climbing above them to clinch the runners-up slot on the final day of 2015/16.

So after the news of the horrible Zika virus infesting Brazil (with major athletes subsequently not participating now) because of it, the general turmoil in Brazil after the whole Paribas scandal, the impeachment & the protests, plus the economic crises in Rio. The other day a New Zealand athlete was abducted in broad daylight, & robbed blind by thugs masquerading as cops.

    http://www.news.com.au/sport/sports-life/new-zealand-olympian-jason-lee--kidnapped-by-police-in-rio-de-janeiro/news-story/b295e7d12df51ebba9a8d0ddbf8390a5

This whole thing looks to be shaping up to be a disaster of massive proportions. Plus with Russia getting banned by the IOC (even though it was their own fault obviously) it's going to be a massive dent for competition in general compared to other years. If only Madrid could've been host instead 🙁

    Oh &, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1W_zM7koJy8

Athletes should be more aware of potential danger. Brazil isn't the safest place and it would be prudent to stay in groups.

    Cortious (jak)

    Shaw - Simpson - Gabriel (4.0,4.0)

    Hazard - Feghouli - Ayew - Alli (4,5)

    Kun - ibra - Wilson

    What would you change?

Gabriel isn't nailed, and I'm guessing neither of your 4.0 defenders will be nailed, so you are starting out with a huge issue defensively.

Personally, I'd sacrifice Ibra until I was certain he was going to firing. You could use his money to upgrade your D and Feghouli,

Looking at the transfer page i see you can now sort by Threat, Creativity iCT INDEX and Influence

I also notice that these stats are identical to those in the Fantasy scout members area.

Couple of questions, is there anywhere that explains what these stats actually are. For example what is the ICT index? is it an average of the other Three stats or something ilike that?

Also whixh is generally considered to be the most important

I may have to hide behind the couch but I'm liking this look here.

    Foster - Valdés
    Shaw - Terry - Souare - Funes Mori - 4.0fodder
    Mkhi - Cesc - Siggy - KDB - 4.5fodder
    Kane - Lukaku - Long

Yeah, you are doing the converse of most with City and Spurs attackers. I prefer the more typical combination of Eriksen/Lamela/Alli and Aguro to KDB and Kane, but it's close...and gives you a slightly different look.

Very solid. I'm probably going with Hazard over KDB just to spread the wealth away from City attackers early on, but it's hard to argue with yoru choices.

Thoughts on my squad. Will probably wc in gw3. Thanks in advance.

    Foster (Jaku)
    Azpi, Shaw, Morgan (Naylor, Lenihan)
    Mkhi, Tadic, Ayew, Miralles/Deulofeu, Townsend
    Aguero, Vardy (Enner Valencia)

    I have 0.5itb so in gw2 I will
    (1) play Naylor & bench Morgan
    (2) Vardy will be sold to Costa, Lukaku or Mkhi will be sold to Hazard. This depends on form. Maybe Mkhi & Vardy kill it & I don't need to sell them.
    (3) I don't see many teams with Enner Valencia in them but at 5.5 he's a bargain & has been going good in pre-season. I realise he's probably not nailed.

    Thanks.

I do like it, but a few tweaks if i may?
Bojan needs to go, Batshuayi is a nice pick, but too much of a risk from the off in my opinion, and Negredo could be replaced by Gray maybe, or Wilson. Just my preferences really.

Yea i'm definitely leaving Negredo in. Batshuayi was a replacement for the Rooney I had. Struggling a bit with the strikers.

If I downgrade Batshuayi I could upgrade Bojan, not a bad shout.
