Our Rate My Team tool and the associated Projections enjoyed an extensive update overnight as we applied tweaked player appearance probabilities based on the pre-season matches.

Further updates are planned today once Andre Ayew is moved to the West Ham squad and Paul Pogba arrives in the game.

We will also be updating the team attack and defence ratings based on the current bookmaker market trends.

Indeed, both Rate My Team and the Projections are likely to be tweaked on a daily basis as further team news breaks over the week. If you’re using these tools, be sure to check back each day to see how the changes reflect on your current selections.

If you’re not using these tools and are wondering how they can help you, we’ve got an FAQ on both of them here.

Meanwhile, late last week we created an updated movie previewing both Rate My Team and the Projections.

These tools are accessible as part of the Fantasy Football Scout Membership. This is currently available for the pre-season price of £12.50 (RRP £15.00).

Users with free accounts can upgrade via this link, while new users can register as members here.

Yeah hard to turn your nose up at 9 goals in preseason including a hat trick. Worth the punt, any of the 6.5m strikers could be gold.

I haven't seen one RMT with Rob Holding from Arsenal included. With Gabriel and BFG on the shelf and Koscielny doubtful, I think Holding could carve himself out a role early on in the season...for 4.5, you could certainly do a lot worse.

    RMT

    Schmeichel
    Valencia Pieters McAuley
    Haz Barkley Ramirez Gradel
    Kun Ibra Vardy

    Jaku Williams Capoue Amat

Thinking if I go for a very strong attack I can downgrade to a cheaper striker who hits form as there always is one. Then I can use that money to upgrade one of my mids, either ramirez or gradel, to someone who hits form as some of the mids have potential but no definite points in them.

3 days ago Jac the Cat posted saying he'd made a team with no Aguero but had Zlatan and Kane to make up for it.

It's obviously risky going without Kun, but what about going without Kun AND Ibra?

If instead you can get, say Kane, Lukaku and Costa/Giroud/Vardy and load up midfield with Firmino, Sanchez, Hazard, Tadic, or their ilk, is it really madness going for a KunIbra-free zone?

I'm torn but find myself seriously considering it....

Ibra really is not a worry for me, I don't expect much for him and most are just going with him because of ownership.

If you have the balls to go without Aguero, going without Ibra and Aguero shouldn't make a difference

Hull....my home town. Pains me to say this....but...

Sold players, huge injury problems at the back, no manager, no transfers in, very average pre-season and owner has given up on the club.

I have Vardy, Routledge and Rooney lined up for their first 3 fixtures.

Key point being is to focus on fixtures of teams that may do badly and ensure you have attacking coverage for their games.

A good chance and as a 5th mid at £5m not a bad shout. Had a great pre-season too.

I definitely signed a few players last year because they had Villa up next game

RMTs are a pointless exercise. Everyone just gets told to do whatever the herd mentality says at the time. And if you're asking people to choose between sets of three players, you might as well not play the game yourself.

      Agree on the RMT

I think it can help a lot to hear what others think about some players, but ofcourse, the end decision should be your own

It ultimately always is your own.

It can be useful just as much as flipping a coin - the moment you hear something that you want to disagree with, the moment you know the decision is made.

Stones at City....If he starts, or nails down a place after a while, is he more appealing at City, or less?

Is Valencia really more nailed than Shaw? Isn't Shaw still the safer option?

Long term - Shaw for sure. Valencia just in v good attacking form in preseason.
