The Black Cats are in transition under their new manager, while City boast such attacking riches there can be no doubt that they head into today’s clash as overwhelming favourites.

Expectant Fantasy managers will be looking to Sergio Aguero to capitlise – the Argentine heads into the teatime kick-off as the most popular captain choice in the Gameweek and with over 40% ownership.

      I started a new team last season in GW2 and it did very well, around 7000 at end of season. I wonder if you just took massive hits for GW2 if that wouldn't be just as good. You preserve a WC. I mean spending 20 to 24 points to get your team aligned, if it is very wrong.

    Team News.... seemed to do fairly well, only one or two missed starters on teams so far, EXCEPT this game Man City v Sunderland, where 4 and 3 players were missed. Just shows how hard the first games of the season are to pick starters.

    With 12 Friday night games (I guess), we'll need at least two players on bench to be starters IMO. Late injuries, personal reasons (births, sickness), coaching decisions to rest a player.

      what the hell kind of players were you picking to have that many missing players? there are certainly some unknown teamsheets here and there but theres well more than enough players to make a 'guaranteed' starting 11, with maybe 1 benched player needed for a shock/punt.

        It's actually a great plus for the rest of the season, your bench started and will continue to start, so you have solved one piece of the puzzle. Don't go crazy and start all of them over proven players and strong teams.

      SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!! This happened to me today. i had set my FPL team 2-3 days ago(and yes i confirmed my team and my transfers). Today i havent logged in at all till the gameweek started. and when i DID login once the GW started, 6 players on my team have been changed. and i had redmond capoue and lamela all gone. now theyve scored too. Can anyone tell me if this has happened to you? noone knows my password too

        I would message FPL to look into it.

        Second I would start another team in GW2, you would be surprised how quickly you can catch up, with the knowledge from one week, pick the risers in value, and the 4.0 defenders who started and the 4.5 mid who did the best. This all means you have a fresh start and there will be tens of thousands who start GW2. My GW2 team finished about 7000 last year among all teams...3.5 million teams who started, of course half will go dead.

        If you are in a paying league with your first teams, not much you can do.
