Gameweek 2 rolls into Sunday with a lunchtime Wear-Tees derby clash.

Sunderland play host to a Middlesbrough side that earned a draw in their opening home encounter with Stoke City on day one. David Moyes’ side also emerged with some credit from their first fixture, losing out to Man City by a narrow 2-1 margin having equalised via a Jermain Defoe goal.

Defoe will once again carry the goal scoring burden for the Black Cats today, who are without Fabio Borini due to a toe injury. Moyes gives home debuts to Donald Love, Paddy McNair and Adnan Januzaj, while Papy Djilobodji earns his full debut at the back.

Aitor Karanka begins to rotate his Boro troops by bringing in Cristhian Stuani for Albert Adomah. Victor Valdes misses out with a training ground knock, opening the way for Brad Guzan to earn his debut in goal.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Sunderland are the new Wigan.

So, so bad but will find a way to survive every season.

Generally speaking, Lateriser, and they haven't looked like scoring despite their possession.Boro more likely to nab a second.

            Sunderland v Boro.

Lots of possession doesn't mean jack if you can't do anything with it.

Honestly nothing, I really enjoyed watching them last year and was glad they got promoted. Just not sure paying Negredo six figures and buying Marten de Roon for £12 million is the best way to stay up.

Selling Kane for Ibra tonight, who else would you sell from this lot to get the extra 0.5:

    Redmond
    Mahrez
    Townsend
    Stones

    Currently thinking of dropping Mahrez

Every player in my mini leagues has Shaw and I have Valencia.

Those 5 extra points cost me this week, do you think it's worth using my free transfer to align?

Or should I stick with Valencia as a differential?

After my experience with Carroll this gw I would avoid injury prone players. It was only a matter of time with Carroll, O'Shea just injured again too. I suspect Shaw won't take long before he's Crocker again.

        Silly comment mate.

He isn't injury prone, he got his leg broken in two places in a challenge.

There's a difference between being injury prone and suffering bad luck.

Sturridge and Wilshere are examples of being injury prone.

Is anyone else's team being saved by forwards and defenders? My midfield has been doing so bad. Eriksen, Townsend, Tadic and Hazard this week. Hazard was the only one to get attacking points, and that wasn't much! Gotta top benching Capoue 😛

I fancy making 3 changes to this... I've got 2FT so is it worth -4?

    Foster
    Shaw - Valencia - Stone
    Haz - Alli - Tadic - Phillips
    Gray - Ibra- Kun(c)

Subs: Jakupovic - Friend - De Roon - Smith

    Thinking Alli>Barkley, Stone>McAuley, De Roon>4.5m

Anyone got a view on this? Is McAuley justified or shall I go Holgate in the hope he keeps his place? Barkley vs Bolasie?! De Roon change would be purely to avoid the price drop as I don't necessarily mind my 3rd sub being injured and on the bench...
