In the first of a number of members articles over the international break, we delve into the data from the Gameweek gone by. Palace’s approach with Christian Benteke arrives under the radar, whilst we also take a look at Paul Pogba’s first away outing for United, Chelsea’s in-form attacking duo and the performance of City’s playmaker in the weekend win over West Ham.

I think I need to WC. Currently already on a -4 hit with 0.3 cash left over. Worried about Lamela, Gray and obviously Aguero suspension wise. Team is:
    Foster, Jaku
    Valencia, Stones, McAuley, Friend, Amat
    Hazard, Mane, Lamela, Redmond, Capoue
    Aguero, Ibra, Gray

You took a -4 and still have Kun? Hmm, with Kun and most likely Gray out, I would be tempted to WC.

You can wait for news about Gray and confirmation of Aguero's ban, but yeah you'll probably need to WC.

Cheers guys thought that would be the case, just didn't want to rush in making my WC pending the suspensions but now looks like I will have to.

Was desperate to get Haz in before he went up in price again so decided to jump on board early.

      Thanks for replies

Repost as lost at end of previous article.

Anyone else on a WC and looking to build TV over the international break?

Currently gone template/casual and dropped Kun.

    Foster/Heaton
    Shaw, McAuley, Valencia, Holgate, Amat
    Haz, Sanchez, Sterling, Fer, Capoue
    Ibra, Negredo, Defoe

Will maybe look to swap out Defoe and Fer for to Ineanacho and Cazorla nearer GW4.

I like it. Similar to mine below. How do you think Benteke will compare to Negredo and Defoe?

      1. Lazarus Star
        • 12 Years
        9 years, 6 months ago

Benteke needs a specific type of team play IMO to be an FPL asset. It worked at Villa. He needs wide fullbacks or Mids that can get a cross in the area. Not sure CP have that game yet.
He tried to be a ball at feet player at LFC which started off with promise (and a high work rate) until the goals didn't come.

Eh? Palace have been putting in more crosses than just about anyone. Perfect match up and Remy will make it even better. Tekkers now also on pens btw 😉

When it boils down to it the trade is painfully uncertain. Kun to someone cheaper is a real gut rencher but 13 mil on the bench is even more so !

      1. Lazarus Star

    Bottomed

    WC team. Whats your thoughts?

    Foster / Jaku
Williams / Shaw / Valencia / McAuley (Amat)
    Sanchez (C) / Hazard / Sterling / Barkley (Capoue)
    Ibra / Benteke (Gray**)

    0.2ITB

Not sure about Gray or Benteke really. Tekkers fixtures are reasonable though

With Agüero's impending & Gray's potential ban I've decided to bite the bullet & play my wild card. Any thoughts?

    Foster, Heaton
    Shaw, Stones, Holding, Evans, Amat
    Hazard, Özil, Sterling, Wanyama, Capoue
    Ibrahimovic, Rondón, Diomande

£7.2 mill in the bank to get Agüero back in place of Rondón as soon as his ban ends!

Need to keep tabs on Stones injury & suspect Holding will lose his place to Mustafa but don't think it's too bad other than that?

That front line is terrible IMO. Also, Wanyama is not a good option. Use your 7.2m in the bank to upgrade them. You can always get Aguero on 2 FTs

      1. Grumblor
        • 15 Years
        9 years, 6 months ago

It's only intended to tide me over until Agüero is back (3 games). Rondóns fixtures over that time ae decent & he's in top 3 for ICT on the app. He seemed a decent stand in to me. Diomande seemed the best budget option to allow me to boost my midfield. I just don't want to get caught by price drops etc & not be able to Agüero back in

        1. Grumblor
          • 15 Years

What makes you think Wanyama is a bad pick out of interest too? I thought he's a decent budget option. On 15 pts already & scored over around the 100 pts mark if I remember correctly the past 2 seasons?

Aguero + poor midfield + short term options for some (like Targett for example in my case)

I think many have been pushed to WCing because of Aguero, but they're not necessarily WCing solely due to Aguero.

Wow, I have exactly the same grouping of players there...

I pulled the pin and took out tadic, kun & gray for sanchez, lukaku & tekkers.

I'll keep firminho and Ramirez for a week or two but could get sterling in for firms. Thought about the WC but we shall see...baines, sterling, and a chelsea defender also look needed. Are you WC'ing then?

If on WC think i would get rid of Azpill, fixtures turn sour soon and extra funds will come in handy.
