Having rolled out Part One of our assessment on the recent internationals earlier this morning, we now examine the pitch time and distance travelled by those players who ply their trade for the remaining ten teams.

Man United

Luke Shaw withdrew from the England after a minor calf problem, but appears to have a good chance of being fit for the Manchester derby.

Antonio Valencia will have little time to prepare for the match having played for Ecuador in the early hours of Wednesday morning, and will need to be checked, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan is doubtful due to a thigh problem. Marcus Rashford hit the headlines after scoring a hat-trick for England U21s against Norway.

David de Gea – Spain (01/09 (a) v Belgium in Brussels and 05/09 (h) v Lichtenstein in Leon – Played all 180 minutes.

Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo – Argentina (02/09 (h) v Uruguay in Mendoza and 07/09 (a) v Venezuela in Merida) – Romero played all 180 minutes, but Rojo only featured in the second match, playing 83 minutes in the 2-2 draw with Venezuela.

Antonio Valencia – Ecuador (01/09 (h) v Brazil in Quito and 07/09 (a) v Peru in Lima) – Didn’t play against Brazil, but played the full 90 minutes in the 2-1 defeat to Peru.

Daley Blind – Holland (01/09 (h) v Greece in Eindhoven and 06/09 (a) v Sweden in Solna) – 180 minutes.

Eric Bailly – Ivory Coast (03/09 (h) v Sierra Leone in Bouake) – 90 minutes.

Marouane Fellaini – Belgium (01/09 (h) v Spain in Brussels and 06/09 (a) v Cyprus in Nicosia) – Didn’t feature against Spain, but played 84 minutes in Cyprus before being replaced.

Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial – France (01/09 (a) v Italy in Bari and 06/09 (a) v Belarus in Borisov) – Pogba played all 180 minutes, and set up two goals in the 3-1 win over Italy. Martial played 45 minutes against Italy, scoring the opening goal, but he was substituted after 57 minutes against Belarus.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Armenia (30/08 (a) v Czech Republic in Mlada Boleslav and 04/09 (a) v Denmark in Copenhagen) – Mkhitaryan had to be substituted after 38 minutes against the Czech Republic due to a thigh injury, and immediately returned to Manchester. He is doubtful ahead of Saturday’s Manchester derby.

Wayne Rooney – England (04/09 (a) v Slovakia in Trnava) – 90 minutes.

Marcus Rashford – England U21 (06/09 (h) v Norway in Colchester) – Played 84 minutes, and scored a hat-trick, including a penalty, in the 6-1 win.

Middlesbrough

Brad Guzan, Gaston Ramirez and Cristhian Stuani all face long flights back home, but none of the trio played two full matches, so appear likely to be okay to face Crystal Palace on Saturday. Calum Chambers boosted his match fitness with a 90-minute run-out for England U21s.

Brad Guzan – United States (02/09 (a) v St. Vincent/Grenadines in Kingstown and 07/09 (h) v Trinidad and Tobago in Jacksonville) – Played the full match against St. Vincent/Grenadines, but was an unused substitute against Trinidad and Tobago.

Calum Chambers – England U21 (06/09 (h) v Norway in Colchester) – 90 minutes.

Emilio Nsue – Equatorial Guinea (04/09 (h) v South Sudan in Malabo) – Scored in a 4-0 victory.

Viktor Fischer – Denmark (30/08 (h) v Lichtenstein in Horsens and 04/09 (h) v Armenia in Copenhagen) – Played 65 minutes against Lichtenstein, scoring in the 5-0 win, while he played the full match against Armenia, and set up Christian Eriksen’s winning goal.

Gaston Ramirez and Cristhian Stuani – Uruguay (02/09 (a) v Argentina in Mendoza and 07/09 (h) v Paraguay in Montevideo) – Ramirez played 20 minutes as a substitute against Argentina, and played 87 minutes against Paraguay, notching an assist in the 4-0 victory. Stuani was limited to just 18 minutes off the bench against Paraguay.

Southampton

Claude Puel shouldn’t have any major issues regarding his international contingent, with none of his regular starters overly worked, while Saints don’t have any players from South America, meaning less travelling time. Maya Yoshida may need extra attention though having played two full matches, with the second on Tuesday.

Virgil van Dijk – Holland (01/09 (h) v Greece in Eindhoven and 06/09 (a) v Sweden in Solna) – Didn’t feature against Greece, but played the full 90 minutes against Sweden.

Maya Yoshida – Japan (01/09 (h) v UAE in Saitama and 06/09 (a) v Thailand in Bangkok) – 180 minutes.

Cedric Soares and Jose Fonte – Portugal (01/09 (h) v Gibraltar in Porto and 06/09 (a) v Switzerland in Basel) – Both players were unused substitutes in the first match, but they both played the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 defeat to Switzerland.

Matt Targett, James Ward-Prowse and Nathan Redmond – England U21 (06/09 (h) v Norway in Colchester) – Targett and Ward-Prowse both played the full 90 minutes, while Redmond was substituted after playing 80 minutes.

Steven Davis – Northern Ireland (04/09 (a) v Czech Republic in Prague – 90 minutes.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – Denmark (30/08 (h) v Lichtenstein in Horsens and 04/09 (h) v Armenia in Copenhagen) – Played 45 minutes against Lichtenstein, and 81 minutes against Armenia.

Dusan Tadic – Serbia (05/09 (h) v Republic of Ireland in Belgrade) – Played all 90 minutes, and scored a penalty and provided an assist in the 2-2 draw.

Shane Long – Republic of Ireland (31/08 (h) v Oman in Dublin and 05/09 (a) v Serbia in Belgrade – Played 45 minutes against Oman, and the full match in Belgrade, providing the assist for Jeff Hendrick’s goal.

Stoke

Mame Biram Diouf will be Mark Hughes’ main injury concern ahead of the home clash against Tottenham, with the forward picking up a hamstring injury whilst on international duty and couldn’t train upon his return to the club. Geoff Cameron will have little preparation time having featured for the United States in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Geoff Cameron – United States (02/09 (a) v St. Vincent/Grenadines in Kingstown and 07/09 (h) v Trinidad and Tobago in Jacksonville) – 180 minutes.

Joe Allen – Wales (05/09 (h) v Moldova in Cardiff) – Played 90 minutes, and scored his first international goal in the 4-0 win.

Glenn Whelan and Jon Walters – Republic of Ireland (31/08 (h) v Oman in Dublin and 05/09 (a) v Serbia in Belgrade – Whelan played 45 minutes against Oman, and the full match against Serbia. Walters played all 180 minutes, and grabbed two goals and an assist in the 4-0 victory against Oman.

Ramadan Sobhi – Egypt (30/08 (h) v Guinea in Borg El Arab and 06/09 (a) v South Africa in Johannesburg) – Played 29 minutes as a substitute in the first match, and missed a penalty in the 1-1 draw. Limited to 13 minutes off the bench against South Africa.

Marko Arnautovic – Austria (05/09 (a) v Georgia in Tbilisi) – Played 90 minutes, and provided an assist in the 2-1 win.

Mame Biram Diouf ¬ Senegal (02/09 (h) v Namibia in Dakar – Scored in a 2-0 victory, but did pick up a hamstring injury, and is a doubt for Saturday’s clash against Tottenham.

Sunderland

New signing Didier Ndong will need to be assessed, given he’ll arrive back late after representing Gabon on Tuesday. Otherwise, there don’t look to be any major issues for David Moyes ahead of the visit of his former club Everton to the Stadium of Light on Monday night.

Paddy McNair – Northern Ireland (04/09 (a) v Czech Republic in Prague – 90 minutes.

John O’Shea – Republic of Ireland (31/08 (h) v Oman in Dublin and 05/09 (a) v Serbia in Belgrade – Played the full match against Serbia.

Duncan Watmore – England U21 (06/09 (h) v Norway in Colchester) – Played 10 minutes as a substitute.

Wahbi Khazri – Tunisia (04/09 (h) v Liberia in Monastir) – Started the match, and scored in a 4-1 victory.

Didier Ndong – Gabon (06/09 (a) v Cameroon in Limbe) – 90 minutes.

Swansea

Francesco Guidolin will have been glad to see Neil Taylor and Ki Sung-yeung both get plenty of minutes under their belt for their respective countries as they look to push their way into the starting XI ahead of the home encounter against Chelsea on Sunday. Jefferson Montero will have a limited participation in the pre-match preparation, though, given he played for Ecuador in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Lukasz Fabianski – Poland (04/09 (a) v Kazakhstan in Astana) – 90 minutes.

Neil Taylor – Wales (05/09 (h) v Moldova in Cardiff) – 90 minutes.

Stephen Kingsley and Oliver McBurnie – Scotland U21 (02/09 (h) v Macedonia in Edinburgh and 06/09 (a) v Ukraine in Kiev) – Kinglsey played 90 minutes against Macedonia, but didn’t feature in Kiev. McBurnie played 32 minutes off the bench in the first match, and played the full 90 minutes in the 4-0 defeat to Ukraine.

Ki Sung-yeung – South Korea (01/09 (h) v China in Seoul and 06/09 (a) v Syria in Seremban) – 180 minutes.

Jefferson Montero – Ecuador (01/09 (h) v Brazil in Quito and 07/09 (a) v Peru in Lima) – Played 73 minutes in the 3-0 defeat to Brazil, and 86 minutes against Peru.

Gylfi Sigurdsson – Iceland (05/09 (a) v Ukraine in Kiev) – 90 minutes.

Tottenham

Danny Rose picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty with England, and is a doubt for the trip to Stoke on Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino will be glad that back-up left-back Ben Davies got 90 minutes under his belt playing for Wales, then, while Erik Lamela will need to be assessed given he’ll arrive back late from South America after playing in the early hours of Wednesday morning. He did only play 67 minutes across the two matches though, meaning he has more chance of keeping his starting berth against the Potters.

Ben Davies – Wales (05/09 (h) v Moldova in Cardiff) – 90 minutes.

Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele – Belgium (01/09 (h) v Spain in Brussels and 06/09 (a) v Cyprus in Nicosia) – Both Vertonghen and Alderweireld played all 180 minutes. Dembele was limited to just 45 minutes as a substitute in the 2-0 defeat to Spain.

Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane – England (04/09 (a) v Slovakia in Trnava) – Walker, Rose and Dier all played 90 minutes in the 1-0 win, while Kane was substituted after 82 minutes. Alli played 26 minutes off the bench.

Victor Wanyama – Kenya (04/09 (a) v Zambia) – provided an assist in a 1-1 stalemate.

Moussa Sissoko – France (01/09 (a) v Italy in Bari and 06/09 (a) v Belarus in Borisov) – Played 27 minutes as a substitute against Italy, and 69 minutes on Tuesday night against Belarus.

Christian Eriksen – Denmark (30/08 (h) v Lichtenstein in Horsens and 04/09 (h) v Armenia in Copenhagen) – Played all 180 minutes, and scored in the 1-0 win over Armenia, although he also missed a penalty in that match.

Erik Lamela – Argentina (02/09 (h) v Uruguay in Mendoza and 07/09 (a) v Venezuela in Merida) – Was an unused substitute in the first match, and played 67 minutes against Venezuela.

Vincent Janssen – Holland (01/09 (h) v Greece in Eindhoven and 06/09 (a) v Sweden in Solna) – 180 minutes.

Watford

Walter Mazzarri shouldn’t have any big issues to deal with in regard to his international assets, with his players not having particularly heavy workloads for their respective countries.

Daryl Janmaat – Holland (01/09 (h) v Greece in Eindhoven and 06/09 (a) v Sweden in Solna) – Didn’t feature against Greece, but played the full match against Sweden.

Jose Holebas – Greece (01/09 (a) v Holland in Eindhoven and 06/09 (a) v Gibraltar in Sao Joao da Venda) – Only played 45 minutes against Holland.

Adrian Mariappa – Jamaica (03/09 (a) v Panama in Ciudad de Panama and 07/09 (h) v Haiti in Kingston) – Was an unused substitute in the first match, but played the full 90 minutes against Haiti.

West Brom

Salomon Rondon will arrive back late from South America having played against Argentina in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The other players involved in international duty should have enough time to recover ahead of Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth.

Gareth McAuley and Jonny Evans – Northern Ireland (04/09 (a) v Czech Republic in Prague – Both played the full 90 minutes in the goalless draw.

Darren Fletcher – Scotland (04/09 (a) v Malta in Ta’Qali – 90 minutes.

James McClean – Republic of Ireland (31/08 (h) v Oman in Dublin and 05/09 (a) v Serbia in Belgrade – registered 45 minutes against Oman, and played the full 90 minutes in Belgrade.

Goals for Belgium midweek will bring Lukaku "confidence." Had a "difficult" pre-season but Koeman believes he is returning to his best. #EFC

    Good news. Captain Lukaku?

If Conte switches to 3-5-2, do you think Hazard plays behind two strikers in a CAM role or behind 1 striker as a second striker role

Here's Bobby F to look at whether Eden Hazard can be trusted with captaincy away from home.

There was a period a couple of years ago when this theory gained traction, only for Hazard to go on a long stretch of games in which the majority of his points were gained away from home.
I aren't though at all surprised that this should resurface when he is leading the captaincy poll prior to an away match.

Got Hazard. Could go Ozil, Payet then 7.6 striker but I already have Benteke. Would also make Kun buyback much harder!
