The Dugout Discussion – Southampton vs Burnley

Sunday’s events conclude at St Mary’s as Southampton play host to Sean Dyche’s Burnley.

The Saints will be seeking a fourth consecutive clean sheet in the Premier League, a seventh in a row in all competitions.

Visitors Burnley will need to improve their attacking threat in order to threaten that record. The Clarets have scored just five goals from their seven matches, creating three big chances – the fewest in the Premier Leauge.

The Saints attack has disappointed with just seven goals scored in their seven matches. However, the statistics show that they have the potential to improve on that record in this one: Claude Puel’s side have produced a shot on goal every 4.8 minutes at St Mary’s – only Liverpool have been more threatening in home matches this season.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If it stays as is, does anyone get the winning goal baps?

How is this hard to understand? If it finishes 3-1, then Southampton's second is the decisive goal.

No City will win but concede a goal somewhere that could be Austin with the goal im keeping him in the squad.

Never ever bench Austin. He's fixture proof. Can score against anyone and is on pens. Sure, he's more likely to get 2 points but it'll be a better two points than say Capoue.

Benching him as my defence works okay at the moment fixture wise, was the plan anyway because the fixtures are awful for WBA and then turn good again.
