The Dugout Discussion – Southampton vs Burnley

16 October 2016 1772 comments

Share:

Sunday’s events conclude at St Mary’s as Southampton play host to Sean Dyche’s Burnley.

The Saints will be seeking a fourth consecutive clean sheet in the Premier League, a seventh in a row in all competitions.

Visitors Burnley will need to improve their attacking threat in order to threaten that record. The Clarets have scored just five goals from their seven matches, creating three big chances – the fewest in the Premier Leauge.

The Saints attack has disappointed with just seven goals scored in their seven matches. However, the statistics show that they have the potential to improve on that record in this one: Claude Puel’s side have produced a shot on goal every 4.8 minutes at St Mary’s – only Liverpool have been more threatening in home matches this season.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Bottomed....

    Got the following team:

    Heaton. Pickford
    Koscielny. Holebas. Amat. Coleman. Smith
    Antonio. Capoue. Sanchez. Son. Mane
    Aguero. Lukaku. Diomande

    1.2 ITB. 1 FT
    1. Capoue - Allen
    2. Antonio - Walcott
    3. Capoue + Antonio = Allen + Walcott

    Would appreciate any help

For all you conspiracy theorists out there.

The highest scoring player each week is currently forming a pattern based on team shirt colour.

red red red white white red red red

Next week, expect Siggy, Chadli or Son to go home with a haul.

It's amazing what a defender goal and clean sheet can do for your game week! I was on 18 this morning - up to 33 thanks to Holebas.

Firmino and Rashford hopefully to save me even more next week!

Holding off my transfers until end of the week but definitely doing Capoue to Allen (5th mid) and going 3-5-2.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend!
