The Dugout Discussion – Southampton vs Burnley

Sunday’s events conclude at St Mary’s as Southampton play host to Sean Dyche’s Burnley.

The Saints will be seeking a fourth consecutive clean sheet in the Premier League, a seventh in a row in all competitions.

Visitors Burnley will need to improve their attacking threat in order to threaten that record. The Clarets have scored just five goals from their seven matches, creating three big chances – the fewest in the Premier Leauge.

The Saints attack has disappointed with just seven goals scored in their seven matches. However, the statistics show that they have the potential to improve on that record in this one: Claude Puel’s side have produced a shot on goal every 4.8 minutes at St Mary’s – only Liverpool have been more threatening in home matches this season.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

How much of a mess is my team in on a scale of 1-10? I've got 20 points so far this week 🙁

    Pickford/Heaton
    Walker/Bellerin/Stones/McCauley/Amat
    Son/Sanchez/Firmino/Snodgrass/Capoue
    Kun/Benteke/Rashford

    What can be done?

Wilson is a good shout. Would probably want to downgrade as i probably want to put some money into the midfield.

What would you do for GW9?

    Heaton (Pickford)
    Kos - Stones - Williams - Francis - Amat
    Sanchez - Walcott - Sterling - Son - (Flethcer)
    Aguero - Lukaku - Austin

    1 FT
    0.1 ITB

    Cheers:)

I need some help here. My transfer finger is itching due to poor points haul so this GW.

    Heston/foster
    BellErin/shaw/McCauley/Coleman/Kingsley
    Capoue/redmond/haz/alexis/snod
    Kun/luk/diomande

    I got 2ft and 1.3itb

That late dele goal killed me yesterday and I'm mindful of WBA fixtures. Do I need a change at the back. I also have too much dead weight. Red/cap/snod etc. There are also new faces to consider, Wally/Allen/ even KDB now he is fit again.

Really could do with some advice, thanks in advance

    1. Evans -> 3.9 (got Amat)

Jonty has already alluded to carrying out major surgery on his team this week.

Just speculation, but What do you think he will do?

8 point hit? 12 point hit?

Surely too much has been said about Puncheon on the scoutcast for it to be a cold, emotionless, transactional transfer ...
