Spurs have worries in defence for the trip to Bournemouth. Santi Cazorla is Arsenal’s only concern for the visit of Middlesbrough, while Leighton Baines is ruled out of Everton’s trip to Turf Moor with an ongoing hamstring problem.

Here’s the round up of the press conferences so far.

Toby Alderweireld has failed to recover from a leg injury and joins Harry Kane on the sidelines as Spurs make their way to Bournemouth. Mauricio Pochettino has also revealed that Danny Rose will be assessed after picking up a foot problem against Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday night.

Leighton Baines misses out again for Everton with an ongoing hamstring problem. Ronald Koeman has conceded it is “difficult to say how long it will take” before the left-back returns to action. Aaron Lennon is available again, though, after shrugging off a knock.

Santi Cazorla remains a doubt for Arsenal’s clash with ‘Boro after being forced off in the midweek Champions League win over Ludogorets Razgrad. Granit Xhaka starts the first of a three-match suspension. Aaron Ramsey is “progressing well” and could be back for next weekend’s trip to Sunderland.

Sunderland defensive duo Lamine Kone and Patrick van Aanholt are both back in training and have been passed fit to face West Ham tomorrow.

Miguel Britos is available for Watford’s trip to Swansea, though fellow defender Craig Cathcart is still sidelined due to a groin issue. Isaac Success (muscle) is doubtful, while the weekend comes too soon for Daryl Janmaat and Stefano Okaka, who have stepped up their recoveries from injury.

Jamie Vardy (groin), Wes Morgan (back) and Andy King (shin) all missed training yesterday as Leicester City prepare for the visit of Crystal Palace. Claudio Ranieri remains optimistic that all three will be passed fit, though remains without Nampalys Mendy due to an ankle problem. Matty James has stepped up his recovery from injury but lacks match fitness.

Scott Dann has returned to training ahead of Palace’s trip to Leicester. Alan Pardew has conceded Dann will start on the bench, though, as the Eagles look for a first clean sheet of the season.

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed he has “nothing to moan about” in terms of injury worries for the home encounter against West Brom, with Georginio Wijnaldum back in contention after shrugging off the hip problem that forced him to miss Monday’s stalemate with Man United.

Andre Ayew is back in full training for West Ham, though Slaven Bilic has conceded the Ghana international “probably won’t be in Saturday’s squad” to face Sunderland. Aaron Cresswell serves a one-match suspension as a result of his sending off against Palace last Saturday evening.

Fernando Llorente and Mo Barrow have both recovered from injury in time for Swansea’s Liberty clash with Watford. Jefferson Montero misses out in Bob Bradley’s first home match in charge.

Steven Defour is ruled out of Burnley’s home clash with Everton due to a hamstring problem picked up in last week’s loss at Southampton. Andre Gray serves the last of a four-match ban, whilst Ashley Barnes remains short of match fitness after stepping up his injury recovery with a 45-minute run-out for the reserves in midweek.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Give him a game at least. Walcott is tempting. Do you have sterling? Maybe sterling > Walcott could work given people think Sterling might be benched.

Yeah, Walcott is seemingly the hottest player in the league. Need to forget you got Son, as it likely does not feel right selling a guy you just bought, and make the move to Wally. Walcott is preferable. Could bite you (us; I did this move), but I think it was a toss-up back when we made the decision, and now Theo has made the choice clearer.

    Hi all,

feeling lost and looking for a little guidance.

I know I need to fit Theo into the below but keep changing my mind on how to do it:

    Pickford (Jaku)
Holebas - Williams - Walker (Kelly - Amat)
Son - Sterling - Coutinho - Sanchez (Capoue)
    Rashford - Aguero - Lukaku

My initial though is Son and Rashford to Walcott and Austin for a -4
Other options are Sterling or Coutinho in a straight swap for him, but neither feel quite right.
I've even considered the madness of Capoue, Rashford and Williams to Walcott, Pieters and a mega cheap striker for a -8 (somebody tell me I'm crazy there)

    Thanks

(apologies for repost - bottomed on last page)

How many clean sheets are we realistically expecting from Liverpool? Their fixtures are very favourable up until 31st Dec vs City, the only thing holding me back is the fact that it is still in fact Liverpool with the mentality of GOALS GOALS GOALS! Wondering whether Clyne is worth it over say Fuchs or a cheaper option, Stoke for instance

Im not too sure on that, unless im missing something he didnt get any assists last year, it was only at Soton that he got attacking returns. I admit he gets forward a lot but he is never pinging the ball to the scorer

cant judge him so quickly, hes better than mignolet with his feet and is a good shot stopper as well, so far he has been as bad as migs when coming to claiming or punching the ball from corners or crosses. but he is going to grow into the jersey, just needs a few more weeks. Its way to early to judge

Unlikely after losing 4-0 even if it is Barca, they lacked a finisher up front and KDB should be the key playmaker instead

Need a mid-long term investment in place of Tadic, help!

    A) Walcott
    B) Coutinho
    C) Lallana
    D) Other?

Rest of my team looks like this; Sanchez, Firmino, Capoue, Snodgrass [tadic]
    Aguero Benteke Wilson

    Cheers!

Dont get rid of Tadic, his fixtures arent great until 3 weeks but the man is in form. Play him over Capoue this week, against a City side that cant keep clean sheets

Feel like I need a double up from Pool or Arsenal immediately though. I'm way down in my mini league and Tadic frustrated me last week at Home to Burnley.

If you must then Walcott has a better fixture than Lallana but its a coin flip

Save my FT? Should I change my Captain choice?

    Heaton
    Stones, Williams, Holebas
    Walcott, Firmino (vc), Sterling, Coutinho
    Lukaku, Aguero (c), Costa

    Pickford, Amat, Capoue, McAuley

    1FT, O ITB

Aye save, would stick it on Walcott but Aguero is a good choice, just unsure of what Pep is going to do

I have just listened to the Scoutcast and I am surprised that the team is so strongly recommending that Antonia owners ditch him. Yes, his stats have fallen off a cliff with this tactical change which is worrying, but there are very few decent options in his price bracket to swap him for. Plus as most people own Capoue if you play him next week in place of Antonio the fixtures are SUN, HUL, STK. I cannot see any options for around the same price as Antonio that I think will match that..

    Opinions?

don't keep him just because you don't see anyone in his price bracket.

if he's not performing downgrade a player and upgrade him

      You make a reasonable argument.

Unfortunately you will need to take some price falls as well. 😕

It depends to what extent you restrict his 'price range' -

Personally I think Theo and Son, too highly attacking in form players, are in his price change or thereabouts.

I also like the Lallana call.

I'm personally looking at either Valencia and Antonio to Lovren and Theo or Sterling and Antonio for Theo and Son (Also have Sanchez and Coutinho).

Some good point there! My budget is 0.2 so there is very little money to play with. I am considering downgrading Capoue to 4.4 to generate some cash.

I have Walcott, I am not sold on Son - good player, but playing time is questionable when Kane is looming following his injury.

Lallana is a possibility...I agree there.

    Sorry for repost

What do you think about this transfer after this gw ?

    Sterling to mane

Both liverpool and citt have great fixtures but I think a (c) aguero is enough from this form city !
    Already have firmino

Key player in the Hull team and pretty much every attack goes through him.

        - Snodgrass is on FKs, corners and penalties*
        - In the 6-1 loss to Bounemouth he had 2 shots in the box, created 2 chances and was 3rd highest with touches in the box

*Hernandez only played 19 mins in the last 2 GWs meaning that in the other 161 minutes Snodgrass would have stepped up.

All good points, but I feel like Hull seem so poor going forward that it's all pretty irrelevant. Allen's stats seem so better atm too. It's marginal, but I think he's the better option.

On the penalties thing, there has actually only been one penalty where both Hernandez & Snodgrass were on the pitch last season, although Hernandez took it you cannot necessarily confirm that as fact.

(His two shots in the box were both headers though)

I am sure they were both on the pitch preseason and Hernandez took it. I could be mistaken.

    0 FT.
    Bank: 0.2.

    Heaton
    Walker - Stones - Holebas
    Lamela - Sanchez - Coutinho - Allen - Sterling
    Aguero - Lukaku
Subs: Pickford, Rashford, Amat and Collins.

    Any suggestions?

Save. Or do Lamela > Arnie/Siggy if you think worth (-4)

    Grant
    Williams, Morgan, Vertong
    Walcott, Snod, Antonio, Firmino
    Aguero, Lukaku, Costa
    Bench: capoue, Kingsley, Amat, Pickford

3.5 ITB and one free transfer. Thoughts? Thinking Sterling for Antonio? Or upgrade Kingsley?

Anyone considering downgrading Sanchez to Walcott, or Ozil?

No, most with Sanchez had him first and now have Walcott too.

My only route to Walcott is to replace him for Firmino, but I'd quite like to keep a Liverpool midfielder to be honest.

It doesn't look like there will be much between Walcott, Sanchez and Ozil points wise over the season (injury permitting) so the Sanchez funds could be better invested elsewhere

I think Sanchez will get more points than the other two though, maybe not by the margin his price demands, but he's a safer pick.

Sanchez will comfortably outscore Theo and Ozil over the season. Sanchez is the best scorer, and Theo, whilst on form, lacks the class of Sanchez. He is also more injury prone and more likely to be rotated long term.
