Regrets come hand-in-hand with Fantasy Football – if you get through the season without one, you’re either extremely fortunate or you just don’t care enough. Either way, you’re unlikely to be reading this.

Most of us of come to terms with them, have learnt to ride them out and plough on regardless but, even I’ve got to admit, Alexis Sanchez’ Gameweek 14 stung a bit.

Thankfully, with Sergio Aguero harbouring his own regrets, my path to sheepishly welcome Sanchez back into the fold is signposted rather clearly.

The Sanchez wounds and the Aguero fall-out dominate this week’s ScoutCast, which also marks a debut for moderator and long-time community member AZ. He steps in with Granville tangled in political red tape to join Jonty, Andy and myself for a lengthy and lively episode.

We gripe about the volatile market, quiver in fear at the idea of the “Titan teams” and, of course, preview the weekend with a scattering of statistics, speculation and pure guesswork.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Anybody else keeping Austin for now?

    I wont lose any value on him with a 0.1m drop anyway..

    Holebas in so I think I will take my chances...
    Don't want another -4 until next week.

        Heaton.
        Lovren, Walker, Cedric.
        Pedro, Sanchez, Firmino, Siggy.
        Costa, Kane, Austin**
        Pickford, Holebas, Amat, Whelan.

        0ft, -4 hit taken, 1.1m in account.

          Might as well take the hit now, not much point in waiting until next week.

          You may assess the options but you may also end up missing a haul as well as price rises.

    B - Play one of Fletcher, Evans or Pieters

    Austin injury leaving me with a bit of dilemma. Already did Aguero -> Costa, so any replacements will be for a hit. Current team is :

    Foster - Pickford
    Alonso - Holebas - Cedric - Amat - Koné
    Sanchez - Hazard - Alli - Allen - de Roon
    Costa - Kane - Austin*

    0 FT, £2.5 itb
    Was planning on upgrading Allen to e.g. Siggy, but I'm a also bit scared of no Liverpool cover. So I'm thinking about the following options:

    A) Play Allen and de Roon/Koné/Amat
    B) Allen -> Sigurdsson - 4 pts
    C) Allen -> Can/Lallana -4pts
    D) Austin -> Iheanacho -4 pts
    E) Austin -> Origi -4 pts

    Thoughts much appreciated!

      Can/Lallana for LIV cover is a bit dodgy. I wouldn't sacrifice Siggy's import on account of that.

      Origi in for Austin would IMO be a better move in terms of the strength of your LIV cover, but I honestly think that move and Siggy in for Allen is a bit of a coin toss.

        Would really like Firmino or Mané in my team, but not enough funds. Could of course do Allen + Austin -> Firmino/Mané + Anichebe for a -8, but doubt that would pay off this week.

      I think there's a high likelihood that one of those two is going to return a blank. So I would definitely advise against AOA. If choosing one, the choice is pretty difficult, but perhaps Spurs' midweek exertions combined with Ibra's (marginally) higher on target percentage would suggest Ibra is the pick to make.

    As I see it there are 3 players that can replace Austin in that price range:

    A) Origi (rotation risk, is Sturridge fit?)
    B) Nacho (rotation risk with Pep false 9 theory)
    C) Wilson (nailed, nice fixtures too, on pens)

      "Unfortunately, recurrent dislocations are frequent. It is very common following one traumatic dislocation of the shoulder to have this happen again. Initial treatment would always be followed by a rehabilitation protocol to ensure you strengthen the joint sufficiently. This may, however, mean abstaining from sport for some time – perhaps a whole season depending on the nature of your sport."

      http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/

      If it is a dislocation it's likely to be 4-6 weeks at least from what I am reading. If not then it's a RICE rehabilitation which would usually need 3 weeks minimum. He seems unlikely to be back before Xmas as far as I can see and maybe not till February/March.

    If changing who would be the best bet to replace (6.8m)
    Ihaenacho/Origi/ Carroll/ other ..?

    Heaton.
    Lovren, Walker, Cedric.
    Pedro, Sanchez, Firmino, Siggy.
    Costa, Kane, Austin**
    Pickford, Holebas, Amat, Whelan.

    0ft, -4 hit taken, 1.1m in account.

    Pedro- Eriksen prob next GW and then a -4 with Austin out..

    Austin to (for a hit):

    A. Iheanacho
    B. Llorene (whaaat)
    C. Other option max 7.5 ( I want Defoe but I`m too short)

    Austin red flagged.

      Not B... A then switch to Defoe when Kun is back, would work out well skipping some dodgy Sunderland fixtures

    Missed the price rise on Defoe *crying* but is

    Rondon > Defoe (-4) still worth it?

      yes imo if you want that kind of price structure in you team. Some people don't want such a pricey third (?) striker

        This is my concern, I want Hazard over christmas and Defoe may price him out...

          yeah looked at my team now, and Defoe as third striker means Phillips/Gundogan ish instead of Siggy
