Kasper Schmeichel will be assessed ahead of Leicester City’s visit to Stoke. Younes Kaboul is back in contention as Watford makes their way to Sunderland, though Palace look set to be without James Tomkins until the middle of next month.

Here’s the news from the pre-Gameweek 17 press conferences so far…

Roberto Pereyra and Stefano Okaka have been ruled out of Watford’s encounter with Sunderland, though Younes Kaboul is back in contention.

Kasper Schmeichel is back in training and could be in line for a return from a recent hand injury. Claudio Ranieri will make a late assessment on his number one and will also check Danny Drinkwater’s knee complaint ahead of the trip to Stoke City.

Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser is set for scans on an ankle complaint. Eddie Howe has confirmed that Callum Wilson was checked for concussion and has been cleared, though the striker remains a slight doubt for the visit of Southampton after being forced off in midweek with blurred vision.

Dieumerci Mbokani returns to the Hull squad for the weekend trip to Spurs after serving a three-match ban.

Aaron Ramsey is close to returning from injury but remains unavailable for Arsenal’s trip to Man City. Arsene Wenger has also revealed that Danny Welbeck is expected to step up his recovery from injury by returning to training next week.

Jason Puncheon is available for Palace’s clash with Chelsea after serving a one-match ban. Alan Pardew has conceded that James Tomkins is expected to be sidelined until mid-January.

Mark Hughes expects both Marc Muniesa and Eric Pieters to recover from minor problems in time for tomorrow’s visit of Leicester. Marko Arnautovic starts the first of a three-match ban, while Ibrahim Afellay will step up his recovery from a knee injury with a run out for the reserves later today.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline.

We’ve a busy ahead, with this handy hot topic by Ozil highlighting the scheduled times for the remaining press conferences.

Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Amongst our main concerns are Eden Hazard, who missed Chelsea’s midweek trip to Sunderland with a knock, while we’re also eagerly awaited for news on Divock Origi – the most transferred in forward for the Gameweek, he picked up a knock towards the end of Liverpool’s win at Middelsbrough.

Pep Guardiola’s afternoon conference is also on the agenda as we wait for word on a potentially season-ending knee injury to Ilkay Gundogan.

Hadn't thought about it, but if he is then I wouldn't expect him to get a ten minute runaround. Wouldn't be too unhappy with Costa (c) (he's spent half of the last two days with the armband!)

I took hits this week after four players didn't play including Friend and Cedric. Seems like it was the right move reading the team news. Prioritise those over whom there is real doubt over whether they'll play. Crap form is less of a problem as long as they'll actually put in an appearance, because you never know...

Everton have announced new contracts for Leighton Baines, Gareth Barry and Mason Holgate.

Barry, 35, has extended his deal until 2018, while Baines, 32, has agreed a new contract keeping him at Everton until 2019.

Holgate, who made his Premier League debut this season, is now under contract through to 2021.

I disagree I think there next 3 games are decent. Stoke at home then city at home who are looking ropey at the back especially on the road then sunderland....

    thinking this for next week....

    Williams/Payet/Francis > Alonso/Lallana/Jones

I think that will pay off the -8 over xmas....what you think?

Put these 3 in bench order: Anichebe, Cedric and McAuley

      you have already done it.

I would be playing Anichebe as I think its 90mins or 0

Cheers for the reply! It's him or Origi though and I prefer Origi.

Are FFS folk actually selling Walcott despite his upcoming fixtures? I'm looking to bring him in...

2 goals in 4 games not good enough for some.

Sánchez-Walcott double up for WBA, CPL, bou, swa, BUR, WAT.

Walcott has 6 goals in 8 home games. Just 1 in 7 away.

Already on him. I've got quite a bit of TV on him so it makes it difficult to sell short term anyway.

I sold him back when he was 'injured' before the Sunderland game and he's dropped to the price I sold him. His stats are still up there too and I need to replace Payet next week. I think he's the prime option.

Slightly worried about game time over Xmas. I'm hoping he'll start but with reduced minutes. In reality he'll probably miss a game I reckon.

Only time I think anyone is serious rotation threat is the GW20 games which come just a couple of days after the previous week but are followed by FA Cup 3rd Round ties. 😕

Never owned him but certainly considering bringing him in should Eriksen not keep firing. Might even sell Hazard and double up on Chelsea defenders. Thoughts on that? (Have Costa)

Firm to Lallana and upgrade either Wilson or Iheanacho?

any point going firm to lallana....bit of a sideways move?

Well if they were the same price it would. But the extra cash could upgrade elsewhere. And that's why i don't think it's sideways.

Already on -4. Worth a -8 to get Iheanacho out of my team? Can't afford Origi i'm afraid.

If you can't afford Origi then I'm not sure, Caroll is probably best bet. Will he justify the hit?

So it all comes down to playing Amat (Mid, A) or Carroll (-4). Not even sure I like him long term so I'll probably hold. Thanks mate!
