Dugout Discussion – Crystal Palace vs Chelsea

Gameweek 17 begins with Chelsea attempting to maintain their 10-game winning streak at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace.

There’s plenty on show for Fantasy Football managers, with Eden Hazard a confirmed starter having missed the midweek victory at Sunderland.

Sold by more than 130,000 ahead of today’s deadline, they will be fidgeting uncomfortably throughout and hoping that Hazard continues to simmer in away matches. He’s scored just two goals in seven road trips so far, compared to six in eight at Stamford Bridge.

Diego Costa has had no such issues, home or away. He goes into today’s encounter off the back of just his third blank of the season on Wednesday – he is yet to go two Gameweeks without a goal or an assist this season.

For Palace, both Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke offer the major threat to a Chelsea defence that has conceded just two goals over their ten successive wins.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

          Yes 0=0 in my book, for that money he needs to be playing every week-gathering points and offering the option of a captaincy too every now and then.
          Right now he ain't performing well enough in my opinion.

              He can't but I think you need to try understand the concept that I want my 10m Mids playing and scoring Fpl points.

        Still a PPG average of around 6.4. Not good enough, but with upcoming two fixtures I am keeping him at least. But I see another couple of price falls.

      Will hold for Bournemouth and then assess. I agree he looked good. Wins all the frees, takes pens and in general is a menace. Strange he's had no returns at all.

        I'm having my doubts on the Chelsea team overall more than Hazard. Palace frustrated them, especially in the first half.

        I think if Chelsea were to concede in games we might see him in the points a little more, right now it seems like a Costa goal and batten down the hatches at the back.

      I'm more concerned about their ball control...the plan was to dribble to get enough space for a long ball or a cross...but they're nowhere near good enough with their feet to do so.

      Many have had this issue.

      I think that yellow card and foul deductions are made in real time, so he should be on 28 plus 3 for the winning goal which will take him ahead of Cahill for the 2 BPs.
      But I'm no expert.
