This afternoon we reveal who has made it through to the semi-finals of our open to all Fantasy Premier League Cup competition, which takes place over Gameweek 22.

For this cup competition, there are more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

Back on the Horse’s excellent score of 106 earns him a £30 in FanDuel credit’s for the round’s top score. After seeing off David Brains in the quarter final he now squares up to Moin, whose 102 to 85 victory over malvernangells earns him a £10 FanDuel credit.

In terms of overall rank, this first pair of sem-finalists are evenly matched, with Back on the Horse placed at 5,759, while Moin is at 6,395 in the overall standings.

Both also have their second Wildcard, Triple Captain and Bench Boost chips intact and may opt to use one if they fancy prioritising cup commitments.

They also have very similar teams, with Chelsea duo Eden Hazard and Marcos Alonso, Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, Spurs striker Harry Kane and Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic all potential captaincy candidates. West Ham’s Michail Antonio also features in both squads.

This means that Back on the Horse will be hoping for a strong performance from key differentials Liverpool’s Adam Lallana and West Brom’s Matt Phillips.

While Moin will be relying on Southampton’s Nathan Redmond, who is at home to Leicester City, and Burnley striker Andre Gray, who has a far trickier tie away at Arsenal.

The other semi final sees 28,322 ranked Hazardousblue who defeated Bashvilla, take on A Manager Has No Name, who is 10,000 places ahead of him in the overall standings and saw off Urchin in the quarter finals.

Again the chips are all place for this pair, who both have Kane and Ibrahimovic available as key heavy hitters. Elsewhere, there are a raft of differentials.

A Manager Has No Name will be looking for a good performance from Middlesbrough forward Alvaro Negredo at home to West Ham, as well as Dele Alli away to Manchester City, and key captaincy contender Alexis Sanchez at home to Burnley.

Meanwhile, for Hazardous Blue, a strong showing from Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, Chelsea schemer Eden Hazard and Palace playmaker Yohan Cabaye will be crucial if he is to prevail. The smart money will be on him captaining Hazard for this encounter.

Hazardous Blue, A Manager Has No Name and malvernangells join Moin in claiming a £10 FanDuel Credit for their high quarter-final scores.

The results from the last eight can be found via this link, while the full semi-finals draw can be found here.

Good luck to those still involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

Just did Aguero to Lukaku, I now have enough to do Firmino to Sanchez for -4. Worth it?

If so, should I captain Alexis, Haz or Ibra?

    Thanks 🙂

As bad as Firmino has been... Transferring out before a home game with swansea is risky... Long term it may be a good move, but i still, have faith in firmino, think he has a lot of goals stored up just waiting to explode!

Been thinking that for weeks now, but with Mane gone and Sturridge likely to lead the line I can't see him matching Alexis this week.

          In a word, no.

          Home v Arsenal - conceded 4
          Away v Spurs - conceded 3
          Away v Liverpool (with 10 for a good chunk) - conceded 5
Home v Man City - conceded three

Going to have to hope that Hazard gets rested for Willian...

Do you have much money tied up on the bench? Failing that you could do haz > coutinho might free up some cash... But not until after hull, you may be best to save FT for this week, more flexibility for next week then

Help me solve my Origi-ache! Thoughts very much appreciated - ORIGI HAS TO GO!

    1FT, 0.8 ITB

    A. Origi > Rondon...simple

    B. Origi, Aguero > Giroud, Costa (-4) Costa>Kane next week

    C. Origi, Alli > Pedro, Giroud (-4) Kun-ibra-oud front line...

    Heaton (Pickford)
    Alonso Valencia Smith (Pieters Collins)
Sanchez Alli Eriksen Phillips (de Roon)
    Aguero Ibrahimovic Origi

Not c you dont want to sell alli. What about Kun & Origi > Lukaku & Kane or Defoe & Kane?

I think any 3 of Kane, Ibra, Lukaku, Defoe is the way to go... Maybe Costa now too if he's back. Rondon & Giroud may be good short term but likely want rid again soon... The other guys are long term good transfers imo

you need a lot of changes there,no premium keeper required, and maximum 2 premium defenders, get sanchez ,ibra, stanislas ahead of iwobi

I'd play Iwobi and take one Spurs guy out as 3 at City seems overkill. Could be a great AOA if you have it...

How is Lukaku rising faster than Defoe? He only scored 5 points last week. Are we underestimating the importance of FFS bandwagons to player prices? Surely, not everyone is thinking about Lukaku as a great long term pick at the same time.

Or is this because of The Scout on the FPL website? Haven't looked there really.

No, I don't buy that. Cry and Stoke away aren't plum fixtures on paper.

Jamie Vardy scored 24 goals last year. So far this year: 5 (3 of which were in a single home match against MCI in GW 15).

LEI clean sheets last year: 15
    So far this year: 5

I never see any LEI players mentioned whatsoever as investment worthy, for obvious reasons. But from GW 29, their run in to the end of the season looks pretty kind. Crazy? Yeah probably, but just wanted to put it out on the radar in case they actually get their sht together.
