The day’s events continue at the Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal and Burnley provide the backdrop to Alexis Sanchez’ latest attempt to build on his stock as a Fantasy Premier League “essential”.

The Chilean starts this match backed by 18.2% of FPL managers, with 52 of the top 100 also endorsing the Gunners man for another return.

It’s easy to justify such a show of faith: Sanchez has returned a goal or an assist in eight of his last nine Gameweeks, with eight goals, four assists and nine bonus points collected over that period.

In addition, he faces a Burnley side that has the worst away record in the Premier League, winning only one of 26 so far on their travels.

Sanchez also boasts an enviable record against the Clarets. He has scored three and assisted twice in his two previous outings in all competitions against Sean Dyche’s men at the Emirates.

Olivier Giroud adds to the Gunners threat. The Frenchman has scored in each of his last four Gameweeks and leads Arsene Wenger’s attack once again, having shaken off a toe injury.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Wenger is so brainlessly stubborn. Almost like he lacks the bottle to bench Giroud given Giroud's recent success.

2 feet off the ground. If a Burnley or Stoke midfielder does that to Xhaka then the same people denying its a bad challenge call for a red

Said it before I'll say it again.

The worst thing that happened to Arsenal was Giroud going on a scoring run. Forces Wenger to constantly select him even though he kills the fluidity of their attack.

They look much better with a pacey winger (Wally/Ox) and Sanchez central.

        Arsenal too slow

Ramsey off, he's supposed to be in that midfield setting the pace. The guy is . walking around and thinks doing flicks and tricks is impressing the fans.

Giroud owner here but he needs to come off, Burnley 2 cb just easily marking him out of the game

It's the same for Ozil. And Wilshire for Bournemouth right now. Arsenal players are glass exhibitionists. Wenger should reward effort and mettle with game time, rather than style on the training pitch. Alexis gives us this, and Walcott is solid in the effort and skill departments. Iwobi has to try to get in the team, but will stop trying when he's a regular. For once in Arsenal's recent history, it's the defensive-minded players who deserve who are earning their salaries

2 soft ones from Moss though. Xhaka must have porked his misses.

Very small margins. Studs up. Where and when do they become studs down?
