The day’s events continue at the Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal and Burnley provide the backdrop to Alexis Sanchez’ latest attempt to build on his stock as a Fantasy Premier League “essential”.

The Chilean starts this match backed by 18.2% of FPL managers, with 52 of the top 100 also endorsing the Gunners man for another return.

It’s easy to justify such a show of faith: Sanchez has returned a goal or an assist in eight of his last nine Gameweeks, with eight goals, four assists and nine bonus points collected over that period.

In addition, he faces a Burnley side that has the worst away record in the Premier League, winning only one of 26 so far on their travels.

Sanchez also boasts an enviable record against the Clarets. He has scored three and assisted twice in his two previous outings in all competitions against Sean Dyche’s men at the Emirates.

Olivier Giroud adds to the Gunners threat. The Frenchman has scored in each of his last four Gameweeks and leads Arsene Wenger’s attack once again, having shaken off a toe injury.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

They were in danger of finishing above 4th. Giroud is obviously the answer. All part of Wenger's master scam.

Not often pleased as a Bellerin owner to see him benched at home to Burnley. This particular owner has Cedric 1st sub though so keep your bum on that bench Hector!

Doesn't necessarily mean the side is better with him in. Sadly, Wenger doesn't understand this either

He scores cause he is the main point. Not because they play good as a team longer, not as fluient with him on

Sánchez popping off shots left right and centre, I prefer the centre ones.

Burnley defenders have to stop blocking every shot. Heaton would save them anyway.

Just in and noticed Saints won 3-0 looking at the phone. Just checked my team expecting a monster performance from VVD, maybe even bonus and VVD has 1 point...ffs literally having the worst run of luck with this game. 14 points on my bench this week too, after Alonso last week...just cant get it right.

If sanchez somehow leaves arsenal after this season giroud will be a big reason for it. Not because he plays up top and decreases sanchez's output but because he's a donkey. No fluidity like the team had with Walcott on wings and sanchez up top.
We all remember the ice cold look on the scorpion celebration.

Appears deliberately slowed pace from Arse; probably for the intention to put a spurt of pace on after 70 mins v tired legs

It's how team like Burnley beat Arsenal. They know they will try to play through the wall. And it's simply a matter of probability and time. They might do it in 90 mins, they might not
