Written off as relegation certainties just over a month ago, Hull Cityโ€™s survival bid has been given a significant shot in the arm since the arrival of new manager Marco Silva.

Two wins and a draw in five matches under the Portugueseโ€™s stewardship, supplemented by clean sheets against the likes of Mancheser United and Liverpool, have seen many Fantasy Premier League managers assess the KCOM outfit in a new light.

Key to Hullโ€™s appeal is, of course, that they play in both Gameweek 26 and 28 โ€“ indeed, Silvaโ€™s men are one of just eight sides currently set to feature in the latter round of matches.

As the interest starts to escalate in light of this weekendโ€™s FA Cup results, we cast an eye over Hullโ€™s recent matches, comparing the numbers to their previous statistics for signs of progress, while checking out the Tigersโ€™ chief performers as we look to navigate the tricky upcoming schedule.

Is GW26 locked & loaded or could another game still be added? Any chance at all?

I'm sure both Man Utd and Arsenal (should they win tonight) would prefer to have their postponed games with Soton there. But it depends on whether Soton want it too - and also I'd suspect that negotiations must have already started (and be nearly finished) if it is to become a reality. It has to be odds-against, but still possible.

Arsenal has Leicester in gw28, how can this game be added in gw26?
Leicester has CL on this wednesday and Liverpool next monday.
            Am I missing something?

If Arsenal do play (which I believe is the unlikeliest of all the options), then it will be their re-arranged game at Soton, originally scheduled for this weekend.

The midweek is free. And it is one of only 3 midweeks which are free until the end of the season. Logically it's the best place for a re-arrangement, but logistically it isn't.

Chances are you'll get your wish. I (like a fair few others, I suspect) have Ibra and Sanchez, so don't want to sell either until I'm 100% sure about what is happening. Fortunately it doesn't look like either will drop in price until later this week - and by then we should know for sure.

    Maguire or Robertson?

Maguire stats looks really promising, but will he keep his place when both Michael Dawson and Curties Davies is back? Only room for 3 out of Maguire, Ranocchia, Dawson and Davies.

Robertson has decent stats (not as good as Maguire), but surely he's nailed on.

Point per match for those over the season:
      Mané: 6.0
      Firmino: 5.1
      Coutinho: 4.8

Before Coutinho went down, however, their ppm were:
      Mané: 5.8
      Firmino: 6.4
      Coutinho: 6.4

Firmino suffered more than Mané from Coutinhos injury (and even more so with Mané off to ACON, but Coutinho looked good vs Spurs, so we might be back to the good old Liverpool mid roulette.

Okay presently the lot looks like this

    Grant Pickford
    Azpi Alonso Walker Coleman Amat*
    Phillips Deroon Alli Eriksen Sanchez*
    Caroll Benteke Ibra*

    2FT 1.6itb

    Should I do

    A) Grant & Amat > Jaku & Mag/Robertson (play 5-3-2)
    B) Ibra & Grant > Lukaku & Jaku (4-3-3)
    C) Benteke & Erik/Alli & Amat > Lukaku & Lallana & hull def -4 play 5-3-2
    D) Sanchez & benteke > Pool mid & Lukaku (4-4-2)
    E) something else

Will definitely wait till after Europa League but would love some thoughts on this... Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ™‚

    1FT, 3m ITB.

    Ibra. Kane. Barnes

    1FT. 0.1itb

    Foster, Jak
    Alonso, Baines, KOS, JONES, AMAT
    Alli, Coutinho, Phillips, T.Carroll, SANCHEZ
    Lukaku, Gray, IBRA

    2FT's, 0.8 ITB

I need to replace two of the players in CAPS to field a full 11 this GW.

Is Sanchez and Amat to Mane and Coleman, who both have games in GW28 my best option ?

          Mane

          playing against arsenal & city?
i dnt think there's a debate IF you can afford Mane. unless u need a to take a hit.

I don't personally see a longer-run scenario where liverpool has turned things back around in goals terms, but only Mane gets results. We'll see though; not just about hits but what the extra £ enables/prohibits.

I can see a lot of frustrated Mane owners this game week. Liverpool midfield has been unpredictable most of the season.

I think it's a tough choice out of the top 3 about who to get.

Mane is pretty inconsistent. I owned him for a long time earlier in the season and he did nothing

Milner is a good 4th mid. bearing that penalty factor. but he gets some needless ycs.
if he gets BPS for running up and down that flank i would be laughing to the bank.

If things stay pretty much as they are (including an Arse win, and no more changes to 26 & 28), I will be looking to get rid of:

Sanchez, Eriksen & Defoe for Firmino/Coutinho, Siggy & Lukaku

Doesn't really feel right but hay ho......

Would you do Niasse (Bur home, Lei away) --> Kane (stoke home, Eve home) for a -4, knowing that Kane isn't playing gw28 and Niasse is?

not sure it's worth it, but Kane could easily score 2/3 at home to Stoke

    Morning all!

At this stage I've convinced myself that 2 x Liverpool mids is the only way to go, at least in the short term.

Which other midfielders look better over the next 3 game weeks that I might be missing? Taking Mkhitaryan and Sanchez (if Arsenal win of course) out, so money no object really.

I realise they have Chelsea soon but thoughts on a West Ham mid? Snodgrass or Antonio perhaps. Antonio has been fairly consistent and currently playing up front - I'm considering him for GW 28 to enable me to field a full 11.

2 away games around Chelsea though, puts me off a little.

With Liverpool I can't stop fixating on Leicester (a) and Burnley (h). A Liverpool mid is arguably one of the best captain options in GW28 too

    Heaton
    Coleman Alonso Brunt
    Mane Eriksen Siggy Alli Phillips
    Lukaku Barnes

    Bench: Amat, Ake, Ibra, Robinson

Have used my FT to do Sanchez to Mane. Think its worth a hit to do something like Ake to Maguire?
Will need 3 transfers between now and GW28 to get a full 11 anyway so would involve a hit at some point.

    1. Visionaries

No Chelsea coverage home to Swansea. Also Amat to Maguire for a hit is what I'm considering

Yeah I'm slightly concerned about no Chelsea attacker - I have Alonso at least. The thing is I don't want to make too many moves considering Chelsea will blank GW28. I could be wrong but Costa and Hazard don't completely frighten me - Im sure they'll return but not expecting double digit hauls.

I would have to take one hit to get a full 11 in GW 28 anyway, plus Ake and Amat don't even play now so would justify the hit more. Hull have tightened up at the back and have decent fixtures.
