Having checked up on Hull City’s progress under Marco Silva, we now take time to assess Paul Clement’s impact on the fortunes of Swansea City.

Wins against Palace, Liverpool, Southampton and Leicester in six matches since the new manager’s appointment have lifted the Welsh outfit out of the bottom three and brought them to the attention of Fantasy Premier League managers.

Swansea’s upcoming schedule has heightened their appeal as a means to navigate the blanks brought on by domestic cup postponements – indeed, they are one of only eight sides set to offer a fixture in both Gameweek 26 and 28.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Feel like I now have to get a Liverpool mid in for GW28 even though their fixtures around it are bobbins.

To be fair, Mane a very good option right now. Selfish as hell - just the kind of player that equals FPL points

    Hi chaps

Who you bench this week: McAuley or Phillips? Currently on McAuley

    Team:

    Foster (Fodder)
    Baines, Coleman, Alonso (Amat, McAuley)
Phillips, Mane, Ali, Eriksen (De roon)
    Lukaku (c) Kane Costa

    Appreciate the help

Heaton to Jakupovic for a hit could well pay off over the next 4 fixtures, maybe even this week. Feels weird ditching Heaton, especially for a hit but Burnley's fixtures are not looking good at all !

I can understand why, many wouldn't, but Burnley's away record is awful, they only have 5 home games left between now and the end of the season, 2 of which are Man U and Spurs. Hull on the other hand have some great fixtures and Jakupovic is just as likely to get save points as Heaton.

      no feels like a Waste
Phillips has just been unlucky last few Game weeks.Could easily had goal or two and 2-3 assists. When you see his Total points tally so far and his price it just shows he has been a brilliant value .If he had scored those or Rondon scored with his assists then he would have been over 130 points easily....That's brilliant for a 5.8 mid...

The only fixture I would play Heaton over Jakupovic between now and the DGW's is when Hull face City in 32. I'd rather have the extra .7 WC will be at play before DGW anyway. I'd feel comfortable playing Jakupovic every fixture between now and then but not Heaton as Burnley away record is awful, rotation makes no sense with those 2 in my opinion.

I'm gradually talking myself out of a Lukaku captaincy... you look at the average position of the opposition's backline when Lukaku hauls and my hypothesis is "Lukaku tends to score better against teams with high backlines'' and then you look at Sunderland's backline (especially away from home) under Moyes and they're ridiculously deep... A little unscientific and I'll probably look at it in more detail nearer the deadline but I think this may be being overlooked...

Now I feel like we can't win today, either we throttle a weaker team and prove nothing, struggle against a plucky upstart, or absolutely implode with an all-time shocker. It's all just so gross.

So, just fired up Football Manager 2017 and started a Juve save. Can't say I watch a lot of Serie A, so first thing I notice is that teams are allowed to name 12 subs in league games. Just throwing this out there, pros and cons of a similar system here in the PL?

Initial thoughts are that it could be a great idea - particularly over the congested winter period. Might perhaps allow for more youth team prospects to have a run in the first team as well.

I think it's neither 343 or 352 which to my style and thinking doesn't maximise the budget.

Obviously you feel going forward you need cash hence the chat about keeper transfer but surely there's a bit to be made sorting your structure out.

Although at the minute for me the focus should be navigating blank gws.

Considering Brunt's home performance, I don't think the return will be dependent on cs alone

There's one more thing, lukaku loves scoring in bulk. He will score for next 3-4 and then go on goal drought.

I'm still considering using one of my 2 frees for a Ibra - Costa - Ibra hokey cokey.

I've 10 GWK 28 players already so seems perfect chance to take advantage. I know I'll kick myself if I don't do it.

I got rid of Ibra 2 weeks ago and may try and work a Kane to Ibra transfer next week for the captaincy. You don't need to get Costa back though once you've brought Ibra in, right? They both blank in GW 28 and Ibra will still have solid fixtures.

jonty what your thoughts on playing a back 5 consisting of:

            Brunt, Evans, Maguire, Alonso, Coleman

Could it be a risk worth taking.

Brunt, Alonson and Coleman have strong attacking threat. Think of them as mids. Brunt especially at home.

              Evans strong CS

Maguire strong CS - against woeful Burnley away attack.

              Nothing wrong with that.

This is probably the most riskfree week to play that quintet.

              good luck.

    Grant
    Alonso McAuley Holebas
    Ali De Roon Hazard Phillips
    Costa Llorente

    Subs:Pickford,Love,Sanchez,Ibra & Friend

    2 FT and 0.5 ITB

What's the best option regarding GW 28?

    A) Ibra > Lukaku (bank 2 FT for GW 27

    B) Sanchez > Mane (bank 2 FT's for GW 27)

    C) Ibra & Sanchez > Lukaku & Mane (don't bank any for GW 27)
